Lovely little museum. Chemist shop in its prewar entirety plus a wonderful cast iron printing press. Lots to look at. Lovely staff.

Open just a few hours on a Saturday. Small, but with many exhibits of local and nearby interest, including an entire Cardiff docks chemist shop. All done with knowledgeable curators..

What an absolute gem! An amazing and enthralling collection of artefacts illustrating the industrial history of the Western valley. What enhanced the experience were the very friendly and hugely knowledgeable chaps who run the museum. Their enthusiasm and love for the museum is a joy. I have been to museums all over the world, but this is one of the very best. You don't have to be big to be brilliant!

Spent a lovely Saturday morning here, a building full of history. On entering I was stunned by the beauty of the wooden and glass fixtures of a Chemist shop from Cardiff Docks, shelves were filled with old glass, tins and cardboard boxes with medicines, chemicals and photography equipment from the old days. The next room was set up as an lecture room, with artefacts st up around the outside, including the a picture of the very first bus with a car radio from 1928. There were also binders full of old local newspapers. I was very pleased with the number of telephones on display in this room and the next. There was lots for train, stream, mining enthusiast too. The two guides on duty were friendly and very knowledgeable.

We spent hours there, lots of local information. Staffed by volunteers who can answer all questions about the history of Risca and surrounding area

Great place. A lot of intresting things to see and learn. Also risca is great for shopping also for great food. Enjoy
