Loving the new splash pad this summer. Great fun. Could do with more benches though. The children had lots of fun on a sunny day (ages 7,6,and 4) then to the park afterwards for a play!

Aberdare Park is such a well-kept haven of a park with a great little area for children to play; there are lovely swing sets for all ages, including adult size. There are also tennis courts, a shop/cafe, a gorgeous boating lake, fantastic scenery to walk around, and plenty of ducks, geese and swans to watch as your site and enjoy the lovely view. If you didn’t know better, you could be anywhere in the world. It has a beautiful vista and is excellent to walk around. We went on a cold day, and it’s still lovely.

A lovely 150 year old Victorian park that covers nearly 50 acres. There's lovely walks through beautiful gardens, a boating lake, a large children's play area, a splash park, a chip shop/ ice-cream parlour and lots of history. My wife and I visit often and enjoy the walks. 5/10/23 they have started locking the top gates at 6:20 pm. 14/12/23 they start locking the gates at 4:50 pm now.

A lovely park with plenty to see and do. Loads of friendly squirrels. There's a small boating lake with loads of geese, a water park (a winner for the kids) and plenty of paved paths to enjoy.

One of my favourite days out. A dog friendly park with something for everyone. Plenty of space to walk on the track around the park on the walking track. There are squirrels to feed and beautiful flowers and trees to enjoy. There is a fabulous boating lake with lots of ducks and geese to enjoy. Please don't let your children chase the birds. There are public toilets and a cafe on site. There is also a splash pool. There is also organised motor bike racing that happens in the park during the summer.

First visit, all parking bays taken, 6 bays used by 3 cars, inconsiderate people taking up far to much space. Park was brilliant, young lad on the peddle boats doing a great job juggling the payment kiosk with looking after the boats having to go back and forth. Great park along with a splash park, coffee shop, cafe. Highly recommended Shame about selfish drivers ....

A pleasant open space with a kids playground, boating lake, tennis courts, shop/cafe and also home to annual motorcycle races. Parking is in quiet streets around the perimeter and entrance is free. A great place to stroll, relax and meet the friendly squirrels.

So beautiful! Lovely smooth walks and planted borders, a fantastic large playpark area for the kids, and I'm looking forward to enjoying the pedalo boats on the lake when they reopen! There are some public toilets, though they aren't particularly well maintained, they do in a pinch!

Well kept grounds and lots to see. Some really old established trees give this place a great feel. 😃 Squirrels love them, and we saw 5 Squirrels while there. There are plenty of geese and ducks with paddle boats on the lake to hire, see pics (Summer only) Dog walkers are around and have to be on leash. It's a nice place to walk your dog none the less. 😉 Also has public toilets, a cafe (summer) tennis court, and a large playground for the kids. Zipline, too!!! 🙂 Will be back next summer.

A wonderful example of public gardens, recreational, and playground facilities . Great walks for dog lovers and so much more. A testament of public tradition that has served its people proudly for many years.

Lovely peaceful place but can imagine in height of season it being very busy. Toilet block nice and clean and showers were very easy to use.

This park is beautifully kept. Really picturesque. Easy for all abilities, great to take the kids. Plenty to explore. The gorsedd stones and garden are a personal highlight, and the splash park is excellent for the kids. Cafe on site, and pedalos around the pond. Great for a picnic!

Great park to walk around. Plenty of land to explore with a park for the children and a splash pad which is fantastic on a warm summer day. Squirrels, ducks and all kinds of wildlife to see and feed. Also a little shop there where you can buy food/ ice cream/ snacks & drinks. Very convenient living local to the park Great day out with paddle boats to go around the pond. Some days they also have crazy golf, bouncy castles and some other amusements.

A prime example of a Victorian Era park. Opened in 1850 this is not just a community park but an historical site too. Covering quite a large distance this makes for a great walk, exercise or workout, family fun time and more. There is a huge grassy area in the middle of the park which is perfect for a picnic or for outdoor games. The lake is full of ducks and geese, often in large flocks and add a touch of character to the park. You can grab a coffee from the little cafe and sit on a bench and enjoy the nature & view. The varied trees here are awesome with so many species. It's really quite something. Check out the nice rose garden too and the Victorian architecture dotted around. We are lucky to have this in our town.

Beautiful place, pleasantly surprised actually. Was worried given it was Easter weekend but the park was big, the playground is pleasantly spaced out so no fear of crowding. The paths are huge too and the toilets.... Well I was shocked, best toilet I've been to at a park lol.

What a nice find! Free parking up the side. Google maps takes you literally to the entrance. Nice flat pavement. Be ideal for bikes and scooters ect. We just done a loop. There's a park for kids, zip wire there :). Lots of brave squirrels coming up to us. Unfortunately didnt have seeds on us this time. There's a lake with swans and ducks. We did see a tennis court and bowling green but unsure if open to public. Be gorgeous in the summer. Had a lovely fountain there.
