Great day out. It was £7.20 for car parking, but we spent all day here walking around the grounds. Got to see the deer and farm animals. Ride a train use the go karts, play giant chess and draughts. It is so beautiful here on a sunny day it is so picturesque. The kids love the park and the open space to run, kick a ball around and Climb trees. And then use the play park’s at no point do I have my feet hurt which is a bonus for me

Had a nice walk around the park, lots to see. Quite quiet when I went, the house was looking lovely. All the flowers and trees looking beautiful. Lots of animals in the farm area, really nice place. £7.20 to park, buy the ticket from the kiosk, go back to your car to display then free entry. I didn't go to every part of the park.

We went to Margam Park to see Luminate light show on Christmas eve. Could not see much of the Park as it was dark. What we could see was very impressive, and we will be back to walk around in day time. The light show we all loved. It was excellent. The walk was fun and full of surprises. Would recommend a visit if you have not seen it. Well catered with refreshments along route.

I would recommend this beautiful country park and house to anyone. It was a very nice day out walking through the park and then onto the beautiful mansion.

My partner and I went to the light trail display at Margam Castle and it was lovely. The trail took about 90 minutes to complete and it was really beautiful and very festive! We would recommend it to families or adults as an evening out doing something a bit different. Even the rain didn't put a dampener on the evening.

Free entry. Expensive parking £6.80. Disappointed not being able to enter the house. Get it finished ! Beautiful architecture. Vast, picturesque grounds. House (Castle), Orangery, Abbey ruins, Church, village, Lake, deer playgrounds, fields.

I thought the parking to be a tad on the expensive side. However, that being said, when you consider the work necessary to continually maintain the sprawling grounds and gardens, not to mention the huge expense of renovations to the building itself, one kind of feels that the parking fee is going to a worthy cause. Even when it's busy, you just don't notice it due to the expanse of the property, plenty of time, and no rush to explore. There is a cafe, shop, toilets and eating area to the east of the castle and other attractions to see. Well worth a visit.

Whilst we didn’t get the opportunity to go in, the grounds are lovely and well looked after/maintained. The architecture of the castle is just stunning. It’s well worth taking the train ride from the car park up to the castle. The view across the lake on the approach is phenomenal.

Luminate is the best Christmas lights in Wales if you ask us. And we go to a lot. First slot of the session is the best - quieter and less queues for food.

Great place to go with the family. Beautiful walks and plenty to see and do. Good that you only have to pay for parking. £7.50.

Nice way to past a few hours with the whole family. Park and farm are great for the kids, castle for the older generations. We wanted to go on the mobile train there but we though the price was a bit expensive for us all. We even saw a few deers roaming around as we walked around the park. I'd recommend this place as an alternative to the beach or a trip if the weather isn't great one day

Beautiful place for a walk and picnic areas but we were disappointed that you could not enter/tour the castle.

Had a wonderful morning with the Grandchildren, ideally the whole day would be better. Take a picnic or eat there, the choice is yours but not to be missed for a great time. Just check the website for all the details. The Grandchildren will sleep soundly after even a morning here. Wonderful time.

We attended the Luminate event here last year, it was so good we booked again for this year. The weather was a bit rubbish, but that is something you can't control. The park all lit up was fantastic! The music and fairies and all the little extra bits were loved by all, we even stopped for a hotdog, cookies and to roast some marshmallows, lots of fun for all.

second time visiting for a superhero day with grandchildren. So much to see and do. Play areas, café, picnic areas. Definitely worth a visit with the kids or to enjoy a nice walk with the dog and take in the views.

Had a great time there. Lots to do, lovely walks, nice place to explore. £6.80 to get in at the time I went, reasonable considering how well maintained the area is. Bonus for the lighting event that was there when we visited. Great day out.

Went for the Superhero day. My 4 year old son really enjoyed it (which was the main thing). However, for over 1000 people in attendance, there was one cafe (in the main area) with two servers. The queue was around the corner and took at least 20-25 mins. There should have been more stalls (coffee and food etc). Also, the prices were extortionate. Over £5 for a baguette. Nearly £4 for a ham roll. £3 for a coffee from a machine. Overpriced and not enough staff! Also, from the main area down to the orangery (and all around that area) there were NO BINS. The circles where the main events were taking place were not big enough meaning lots of people couldn't get to the front. Also, the events were far apart. Queues were too big too.

👍👍 The views from the ruined church are quietly inspirational within the natural setting. Looking down on the sea dunes, the reservoir, and of course the Margam country estate. Plus a bit of the steel works and the M4 that is far enough away not to intrude. The ruins themselves benefit from being re...
