Fantastic weekend of events with the family. We enjoyed a few of the attractions and had a really great time. It's one of those tourist destinations which offers unique experiences which is what we try to look for. The use of the existing slate mines is incredible and you feel humbled by the surroundings. We took part in the Deep Mine Tour which I would strongly recommend as it gives you a full insight into the true world of what it was really like to work in a place like that, expanding your engagement with the other activities. All the staff were very friendly and helpful we didn't have one bad experience with any of them. The only down side to Zip World, unfortunately, is the price! It is quite steep. Hopefully the more popular it becomes and the higher the footfall maybe pricing can be adjusted and become more affordable. Maybe introduce package deals for multiple activities as well. And with the size of the location maybe open up more on site accommodation/camping maybe.

We had a great time doing two activities at Zip World. Did the Titan zip line and the caverns. Really enjoyed both experiences but the caverns really surprised us. The course was longer than we thought and really cool doing it all underground. One thing that stood out was all of the staff were very friendly, always smiling. Definitely worth a visit.

Oh my word. I'm an anxious mess but this place was awesome. At first when we got in there and everyone started jumping at different weights and angles I felt a bit sea sick. But as soon as we moved up or down a level where there was less people this subsided straight away. Wasn't too many people when we went considering we booked the 1 o clock slot. Use the mats for the slides else you won't really budge. The cave is a little damp. One of the paths I walked up I slid back down. There was ropes to pull myself up. Challenging and fun ๐Ÿฅฐ Fairly easy. It's not as easy as trampolining. I stretched before I went. I am a bit extra about things but I'm 27 and came back with no aches ๐Ÿ˜‡ If your thinking of going. Get it done. Amazing place. They have done such a good job of it.

We took part in there brand new underground golf experience. Where do I start. I would happily say it's the best adventure golf course I have played and I have played a fair few. The fact you have to travel deep underground to start just gets the excitement going straight away. Our group was mixed ages from 6 to 80. And each one of the group had a great time. The course itself has a mix of different difficulty holes to try out your skills on. The only downside was the slide between levels was blocked off but I'm sure they had there reasons. Would highly recommend to all.

Really great tour. Our guide Malcolm was very funny and very informative. He told us facts that we just didn't know and it was very interesting. It made it all the more personal because there was only 4 of us in a group, two others just didn't show. It's well worth a visit if you haven't been before, and worth a visit, if like 2 of us had already been on the tour a few years before.

We were in Wales for a weekend away with our two boys (10 & 6) and were able to book a couple of activities at the Llechwedd site the day before. We did the Big Red, which is a zip line for younger children or first timers, it was a nice start to the day, and at ยฃ10 was reasonably priced. We also booked the bounce below, which was absolutely fantastic. We took a quick trip into the caverns and were met with layers of bouncing fun set into the cavern. The session is for an hour and is brilliant. Parents be warned, it's harder than you think as it is more of a springy netting than a standard trampoline. Long sleeves and trousers are recommended, and I fully advise this as if you fall the material can be abrasive. You also need to wear trainers with good grip as the nets get slippy, these just want to be old shoes and clothes as you can get dirty/scuffed. The staff were brilliant and very helpful. We will definitely be returning to Zip World and completing more adventures.

This experience was out of this world. Extremely proud of my brother and sister getting around the course. Itโ€™s absolutely stunning. Once we got our head round the heights. Itโ€™s a real buzz and a great challenge. (Real sense of achievement of getting around the course). The friendly staff member that helped us with the training was called Jake and was a right laugh, really made the experience and answered any questions we had so felt reassured going around the course. Would highly recommend this to anyone P.s Jake needs a bonus real credit to your team zip world

Amazing place for people of almost all ages. Simple underground tours for people who want a more mild adventure, and plenty of activities for thrill seekers. The Caverns Zipline experience was brilliant. Our guide gave us all the info we needed, and took us through a mini training course beforehand to make sure we were safe and comfortable with what we'd signed up for before we started. If you're nervous and want to take your time on the course, simply ask that you start last (or near the back) of your group. There's no need to rush through!

Location of Underground Golf, and some of the zip wires. Brilliant experiences all around, as there is something for everyone. Golf had many fun aspects such as a slide in the middle, and of course the ride down the shaft to get to the caves. The reception staff were quick and helpful. The staff at the cave entrance were awesome, and even managed to get us at an earlier booking by 15 minutes so we didn't have to wait around.

We did the deep cave tour and it was a great tour and informative, best buy tickets at the ticket office as the tickets cost more online, that goes for all activities at Zip World as well. Be prepared for it being chilly as it's around 7ยฐc down there.

Amazing! Thatโ€™s it in a nutshell! This is the first time Iโ€™ve been to Zip World, and I can easily say I tend to come back again and try other activities. We did the Titan zip line and they take you up through the opencast quarry, stopping half way to give you some history about who and how they came to find the best slate is the world. It was fascinating to learn some of the history about the people, the living conditions, and to find out that 90% of the slate quarried, was never used as intended. The Zip lines, 1400 feet up a man made mountain, itโ€™s awe inspiring to see what they did starting in the 1800s. But the zip lineโ€ฆ wow! The initial leap off the edge and the decent is amazing! So fast. Itโ€™s really windy but so much fun. And you get to do it twice. Once on the bigger zip line then a short walk to the lower zip line, which is a little faster. Takes about 1hour 20mins from start to finish. Just wish I couldโ€™ve done it again and again! Highly recommended!

Fantastic. Took 3 kids (2 age 13 and a 10 year old). We did the cavern bounce (wrong name, one adult with the 3 kids). The kids loved it so did the adult. We also did Trojan (2 zip wires). This was also great. Lastly we did the deep mine tour. This was lots of fun (the tour guide was a bit craggy and grumpy). The whole day was a bit expensive but we did lots.

Didn't try the zip lines but instead had a round of crazy golf 500ft underground in the caverns if the slate mine. Excellent fun for all ages but you must be able to climb a few steps.

Absolutely magical day out down the mine. The visit with Santa was very very special (although could be a tad worrying for smaller children) It was VERY atmospheric, and realistic, walking slowly in the dark, carrying our lantern, towards his hut was one of those moments I'll never forget. My boys were awestruck, which is something given that technology takes prรฉsidence in their lives these days! The gifts they received from Santa were very high quality and well matched to their ages. We spent the rest of the afternoon playing golf in the grotto, which again, was well worth the money and enjoyed by all of us... After returning back up to ground level we had our hot chocolate, mulled wine, and the most delicious warm mince pies... All in all, in all the years I've visited the various Santas, Zipmas, out does them all by far... Seriously, you won't be disappointed ๐ŸŽ…๐ŸŽ„๐Ÿ’—

We completed the Caverns high ropes course. Amazing experience. Staff were helpful and well trained, it really challenged me as it was quite scary and you are so high in places but it was so well designed that it was achievable and enjoyable!

Zipmas. A magical experience with wasted potential. The cost I think was a bit steep for what it was. Adults paid but didn't get anything no drink or pie or anything. Children got a present but was a bit bargain bucket present. The mines were beautifully decorated and the staff were great especially the elf nearest to father Christmas. Father Christmas himself I was disappointed with, should have asked us before his name age etc rather than ask my child. Make it magical plz you're supposed to know about him!! The queue to see him down in the caves was unexpectedly long. Way over an hour. Some entertainment in the queue would have been appreciated. Luckily my kid saw past the flaws and didn't sleep that night with excitement. I wouldn't return again though.

Came for Bounce Below, our second visit. It's unique and a lot of fun. The caves are lit with shifting and contrasting colours which highlight their features. Music is played throughout but at a volume where you can easily have a conversation. It's popular for kids but we've been as an adult group and have seen others there as well so not exclusively for the young. There's lots to explore and we've seen each area in the time we stayed, but on neither visit have I been able to stay on the nets for the full hour! It's a workout and my legs turn to jelly after a while.

We did the crazy golf in the caves in zip world and it wasn't bad. The crazy golf wasn't the most crazy course we've been to but it was pretty novel being down in the caves. Getting the helmets on and heading underground in the little train added to the novelty of the experience - good stuff. It wasn't badly priced as we qualified for a locals discount (even though we're about an hour away - we must have the same post code) and the gift shop and refreshments didn't seem over priced which was nice. The staff were nice throughout, from a very pleasant and helpful guy on the phone as we booked whilst on the way to the man who welcomed us and got us set up with helmets, intro talk, etc - all did their job very well. The facilities were a little dated and worn and a few bits on the courses didn't work as you'd expect but it didn't ruin the experience. There were 18 holes with the golf, although not too much variation between them. Not bad for the price, but we were ready to finish by the time it was done. Took us a little over an hour to get around - we weren't waiting for many holes and didn't hold anybody up. The kids used the toilets before we went down - well worth doing as there aren't any toilets down there (and no staff visible throughout the game to ask). Only caused a slight issue on the 17th hole as my youngest was getting slightly desperate for the loo and we had to wait for the train to come back down to collect us. We ended up waiting and me trying to distract her for just ten to fifteen minutes before we were able to head to the facilities. We grabbed some lunch in the bike centre just around the corner before arriving as we got there 30 minutes early and the food was excellent. Cost about ยฃ35 for me and my two girls so not the cheapest but worth it - the food was lovely and there was plenty of it. Overall worth a visit for the price, but not somewhere I'd probably go back to for a second go.

Deep mine tour and golf. Both really great fun. The guys and girls there are super friendly. Phil was an excellent guide down the mine. Highly recommended.

We had a great morning doing the Titan zip wire today. My boy got nervous at the top but the staff were fantastic with him and he did it!! The staff are knowledgeable and happy to help. Thank you to team on the 10am slot, especially the guy who when asked, said the slate museum and caernarfon castle are worth a visit.

We loved this place! At first it is a big price to stomach and that nearly put us off. It did mean we only did the titan zip line. But it was great. Staff being kind, funny and friendly made the whole thing amazing. It's also very dog friendly so we could stay with our packed lunch after! The zip line does feel super safe so even though you are scared, it is safe and they double check each other. They are so good with the kids too! Only thing I would say.....please stop being card only. I really hate that. As a mum, it's annoying as our kids get picket money. You have a shop with things aimed at them to want to buy, buy they can't buy because you won't take the perfectly legal tender. That's not fair. And as parents we are expected to teach them about money, but how can we when they can't use it?! And no, a bank card is not the same, and they can't even have one until they are 11 anyway....please let them spend thier cash ๐Ÿ™

Great day here at Bounce below! 4 adults went and we had a great time. The sides are however very slow and barley make you move. Other than that it was great!

Fantastic place to spend a lot of time and a lot of money. You have to go with a game plan or you could spend a lot of money. We did underground golf, which was brilliant fun. I well recommend this to all the family. Also, we did the Deep mine tour, which is about 1 hour and a bit long, which was very interesting. Also the guide that we had was very informative and funny. I recommend this as well. Did I mention the free parking as well.

Absolutely fantastic day out. I did caverning and zipline on the same day and because they were on the same site it's easy to move between activities. The staff were all friendly and helpful and me and my group had an absolute blast. Fantastic as a group activity or as a family activity.

There's lots to do here. My family did the underground golf which was great fun and the deep mine tour which was very interesting and informative. A great day out for all ages

We did the underground caverns, which is high ropes like Go Ape but more intense. Taking zipwires across large underground caverns, walking up just metal plates on the walls. Really really enjoyed it. Younger child did the bounce below which by all accounts was also awesome. And then an underground mine themed crazy golf which include a slide down near the end

  • 5/5 Daniel W. 8 months ago on Google
Completed the Caverns activity. On arrival at Zip World we were directed to a car parking space big enough to accommodate our camper. When entering the building we were then asked a couple of questions on pre-requirements to then be passed through to reception. All this so far was slick so great organisation. We then waited for our brief and kit, this was professionally done in a relaxed friendly yet informative way. The walk to the training area is great as you get a feel for the environment that you are entering. Short concise and good training on the clipping and trolley drills and then a go to ensure you have the technique and confidence. Once this completed then you can go to the Caverns, from this point I am not going to write about it as I do not want to spoil the layout, obstacles, views and so much more. So you have to do it to find out.

A unique experience - bouncing on multiple levels inside a vast chamber in a slate mine. There are slides and ladders between each level. It is well organized and a huge blast of fun. I wish there was a little more about the extraordinary history of the place so visitors could appreciate where they are

We went to Zip World - as part of a stag do - and had a fantastic time. The first day we explored the caverns which involved climbing and multiple zip lines throughout the caves. It was awesome. On the second day, when we were feeling a little more delicate, we opted for the underground golf which was a little more relaxed, but still fantastic in it 500m below ground environment. Eat before you get there as the cafe is quite expensive. Highly recommend for anyone planning a trip to the area ๐Ÿ‘

  • 5/5 Dominic E. 11 months ago on Google
Had a great day out here doing bounce below and the crazy golf. The caverns are amazing and spacious, if anything on bounce below you get worried about height rather than being enclosed. It is expensive, but it is a great experience. The food in the cafe was very nice too.

Fantastic place! I visited here from the United States, and this is a very unique experience. I will say it's a bit pricey for the underground golf, but we still went and enjoyed it. I hope to come back here again and try the other activities here.

Wow. Absolutely amazing place. Such beautiful scenery. I did titan 2 zipline which was fantastic. It was raining and extremely cold but was still fantastic to do. Our taxi driver to the top of the mountain Wynn was brill and very knowledgeable on the area. Our instructors were also fantastic, I didn't get their names but was a young couple they were great. Definitely go back and do more activities

Went on titan 2 zip line. First time zip lining and was a very enjoyable experience. Staff were all very friendly. The caverns was a thrilling experience with multiple zip lines and lots of climbing. Would definitely recommend it to those who enjoy some thrill seeking fun!

We did titan 2, 7 year old, 12 year old twins and me and my husband. It was an incredible experience. The staff were so lovely, I was terrified and they were patient and encouraging, explaining all the safety equipment. I would highly recommend doing it. We had the best experience as a family.

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ I've tried a few uplift days, but believe this is the best so far. The advice and help from the centre, uplift speed, chat with the uplift driver all helped to make the day a great experience. Good weather is important if you are a soft southerner like me, but anyway I loved the contrast of the red...
