We did the the β€œgreen” Gorge walk at Hafod Forest. It was a very wet Octobers day the night before so the waterfalls and rapids were pretty impressive. We only meant to stop for a picnic while passing and instead spent the rest of of our day here. Peaceful place. The shortest circular walk is Around 3/4 hour upwards so ensure you have enough time as it really is worth the visit.

A magnificent Estate. The history attached to the location is magnificent. The estate also benefits from free parking. There are several trials on offer from easy to hard. All compromising different aspects of the environment. The Gorge Walk is beautiful. Crossing the rope suspension bridge and seeing the neo-gothic arch set slightly elevated. This park can be enjoyed by people of all ages. 5*.

We have been twice to the Hafod , using the free car park next to the church. We did the Ladies Walk both times ( the Gentleman's walk is a bit more strenuous). Very dog friendly, with dogs off lead for most of the time. Just a section through fields with sheep where they must he on lead. Otherwise, you are walking through woods , next to the river. There is a lovely waterfall on the route. There are no facilities, and no cafe, but a few picnic tables by the river. It's beautiful , and peaceful. A lovely place to visit .

What a stunning National Trust property. The terrain, height, and scenery seems to change really quickly, but the climbs didn't feel difficult. This really is an amazing piece of Welsh valley. Densely forested up the valley walls then lush open fields in the base of the valley, with a beautiful river and plenty of waterfalls (that I had a lovely swim in). We didn't make it to the mansion ruins so I don't know if there's a cafe or shop, but as the estate is so vast and with excellent marked routes it's worth packing everything you need for a day out in the hills. We'll definitely be back. I recommend walking/running (not biking) because lots of the trails have steep steps and tree roots. t's much easier to park at the top car park by the church, but if you need a more accessible place to start from then take your time and drive down the uneven track that takes you into the centre of the estate next to the river.

Fantastic walks through moss covered valleys amid Scott's Pine trees. Beautiful views and rivers, waterfalls. Quite a steep track, so good legs and footware advisable. Will return to explore further.

Lovely place to stop for a walk, we enjoyed the green path very much, crossing over onto the blue trail to visit the flower gardens. Wish we had longer to explore and free to park and visit, we’d recommend taking a picture of the map rather than taking one, but leaving a donation if you can to keep this lovely place open!

Highly recommend this place! If you want to go for a little or long walk this is the place to go. It has 4 different levels of trail walks. Went on the blue walk past the waterfall with the water being so clear. Definitely go here for many amazing views

Walked 4 miles through the estate with my wife. What a beautiful hike we had. Wouldn't take very young children or people with mobility problems as some areas might be problematic for them or even a bit dangerous.

Free parking, dog off-lead friendly and plenty of routes to choose from. Easy walking, can be a bit uphill at times. Beautiful river views and fantastic woods.

A lovely place to walk and enjoy nature. There are various walks of different lengths and intensity. These are shown on a map which is available at the car park. The walks are colour coded on the map and clearly marked throughout the estate. We did Lady's walk. It took us longer than the map said, but we really did take our time, stopping to take photos and also for a picnic.

An absolutely beautiful estate. I spent the whole day here exploring as there are so many paths to enjoy. There's forest, countless waterfalls and breathtaking views. Plus free parking.

Fantastic walk along one of the many paths/trails. Followed the Ladies walk path. Great views, river & waterfalls. Plenty of resting places to stop and take it all in.

Beautiful place in all weather's, a nice selection of walks but be aware some sections may be closed due to forestry operations so a detour may be required. Quite a small parking area that can fill up quickly during school holidays and weekends.

Staying on the estate at Pendre Isaf and the estate is stunning. Great walks and although managed, left to be as natural as possible. Beautiful steams and waterfalls. Well worth a trip out.

We only had a couple of hours to spend here, but left thinking we could have spent a lot more time in this beautiful setting. Have described the trail as moderate as there are plenty of ups n downs.

Incredible place. We just did the 'easy' loops as we only had a few hours... we cant wait to go back and explore the rest. Free parking. Narrow roads to entrance. Steep walking, but so worth it.

Lovely area lots to see. Information boards and several walks for all abilities. Lovely picnic area with benches and a toilet in the car park. Not unusual to have this place to yourself out of season. A well hidden treasure.
