Simply an amazing hotel and premier Inn should be commended for having such amazing staff , especially the chap with the fab beard, he is an absolute diamond 💎 and can not thank him enough for making our stay so special. It's in an excellent location and plenty'of places to eat and drink. The Premier Inn has luckily a fab bar and restaurant ,which the food and drinks are highly recommend. Could not of found a better hotel to stay and go off to the Rugby 🏉 Wales Vs Scotland . Thank you Premier Inn.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Premier Inns are always good. Not great but good. Breakfast food was definitely worth it. However this one was somewhat filthy, stayed for three days and floors were sticky, gets on your shoes and vomit not cleaned up at the entrance. Room wasn't fully clean on arrival compared to others, batteries dead in remote. Towels were not replaced and had to ask for toilet paper unlike others that did that for us. Apparently you have to ask for your room to be cleaned unlike other premier Inns? The location is great, good food, close to the bay we had a wonderful times but please clean the floors and elevators...I was thankful it was raining outside so I could get it off my shoes.

Spent the weekend here. Room was very warm so the air conditioning was needed 24/7. Fab not working on the bathroom. No bath mat in a very slippery bath when showering. The bar and eating area was very utilitarian and not at all welcoming so we went and ate elsewhere.

Used this hotel for a 2 night stay in Cardiff. We had a family room which included a king sized bed and 2x singles. The room was large and very clean. Had tea/coffee available. A bathroom with a shower and bath. The beds where comfy and 2x extra pillows where available if need be. We stayed on the top floor and 3x lifts available. The ground floor had a large bar/restaurant. We didn’t use the restaurant but the bar was very nice. Used the very large car park next door and you get a 25% discount. The hotel is ideally situated next to mermaid quay with loads of bars and shops etc to visit. ***The only niggle we had with the whole place was the fact the bin in the bathroom had not been changed and there was contact lens packets and dirty make up wipes in it from the previous people!!!!!***

Room wasn't very clean...chewing gum on remote control and Gin bottle found under the bed. It makes you think when we are in COVID. Not enough tea, coffee, sugar in room. Only one pillow No telephone in room to ring reception. Breakfast tables full of dirty dishes and people being refuses breakfast if you hadn't previously booked. But loads of tables empty but not cleared. Breakfast ok...eggs cooked before so hard when ate

Nice clean room. One towel between two of us but that's fine for one night. Slept well. Decent TV with Freeview channels. Parking is next to the hotel and can be a bit of a walk depending on where you park. Parking cost us £9 for 12 hours.

I’d booked a family room for 2 nights. Arrived to check in at 8pm. Long queue of disgruntled customers! Got to the front of the queue, receptionist took forever looking for our room! Kept asking how many beds we needed! Kept telling her there was 4 of us…. So 4 (didn’t mind if they were doubles or singles). Eventually was told they hadn’t had a chance to make up the extra beds and as there was such a queue would we mind doing it?!! But there would be a wait for the bedding!!! Made our way to the room to find there were only 3 beds!!! Back to reception, asked for a refund to be told no because we’d been checked in…. to a room without enough beds!!! Called for manager who tried to find a solution which would have meant 2 rooms the first night & moving rooms the second day! Enough was enough! Not good enough for £173.50 so back to Swansea we came (with a refund)! Corridors needed a good hoover! Reception stank of cigarette smoke. Everyone in queue seemed to have an issue with their rooms or the restaurant! Such a shame as the location is great, especially if you’ve been to a show in the Millennium Centre. Unfortunately nothing was very ‘Premier’ about this Inn!

First of all, my check in took almost an hour and a half. I asked for a room right next to our place other family's room. Then it turned out that the hotel charged us twice as much for the room than the price in the reservation and we were informed that the money would not be refunded to us, but we had to call the main office to get a refund. After a short but concise discussion with the pseudo-manager, it turned out that they can make us a refund. Yes, I know the total check in time took us almost an hour and a half. The next drama was breakfast the next day which I booked for 09.30 believe it or not but there was practically nothing to eat. No beans, hash browns, long waiting time for eggs, mushrooms, plus old and tasteless bacon. No crosant buns and when they graciously appeared, they were completely unfit for consumption. Only one small and slow toaster for such a large hotel made the queue very long. Additionally, the prevailing mess. The service, although polite, gave the impression of being lost. Definitely, this hotel needs a real manager who will focus on the selection of a properly trained team of employees. I honestly do not recommend this hotel. Sorry!

The rooms are clean and tidy, beds really comfortable. Don't bother with the breakfast, the continental is rubbish. No croissants, no ham or cheese. Waited 20 minutes for an English breakfast cause they kept running out of bacon, sausage and hash browns. Felt sorry for the woman serving as she wasn't getting help from her colleagues. My advice. Go and find a greasy spoon, it'll be a lot better and half the price

Very good location for exploring the bay area. Great view from our room. Lovely staff. Premier inn's are so consistently good. Parking in multistory next door. Get a 25% discount from hotel.

It was a second time for me. I could swear that I did a review the first time I went. So unlike me🙄 the first was very brief though, got in at about 12 am and was out by 8:30 am. It was a good experience, front desk was polite and attentive. The room was clean, bathroom spotless. It’s overall value for money. It was practical for me for proximity to the venue of my meeting and such. It was also an overnight stay - functional. I like that checkout was seamless. The staff at breakfast was also helpful - she warmed up the croissants for me. I couldn’t quite find my way around getting hot chocolate and I ended up with a glass of milk. The elevators could be better cleaned though, there were hand prints all over the doors. The liquid soap jar in the shower was not refilled, thankfully, I travel with my toiletries, imagine if it were an unplanned stay.

Fair to say that any premier Inn is a budget hotel. Over the last couple of years we have stayed in many of them. Premier Inn Cardiff Bay ranks highly. The staff take on board the Premier name, and run with it. Excellent service from all of the team there. Food also was very good. Rooms clean and presentable. Will definitely stay here again

I've been working away from home for quite a while and stayed at different hotels, some expensive some cheap, and I can honestly say this hotel exceeds my expectations. The rooms are always very clean, staff is very friendly and helpful and location is perfect, just a few steps away from the bay. There is a car park right next to the hotel and guests get a discount for parking. The only thing they could improve is the food. However, there are lots of places to eat on the bay.

We were on the top floor at the very end of the hotel. Unfortunately right next to to premier inn sign which blew and banged against the wall all night keeping us awake. Hotel is clean and in a great location. Breakfast was good but unfortunately took a long time for items to be refilled so missed out on a few of the options.

We booked a premium room which was located on floor 5 of 7 floor. Location is right behind the Millennium Centre and offers a great opportunity to take in the views of the Bay. Parking was discounted (25%) from the multistory adjacent to the Premier Inn. We paid £24 for 3 days of parking. Service was lovely, no problems there. We did ask for the room to be cleaned on the second night of stay as there was some rubbish in the fridge and some food marks on some surfaces, from previous guests which unfortunately, they did still miss but... I can't deny, it was an affordable, convenient and comfortable room. Overall, would recommend as a cheeky getaway.

First stay in a Premier Inn. Not the last, I hope. And what made it special ? The comfortable bed and pillows! Amazing. Why can't all hotels manage it ? Full marks and FIFTY GOLD STARS to Premier Inn for one of the best sleeps I've ever had.

  • 5/5 Rebecca D. 10 months ago on Google
Brilliant! Great location - discounted car parking for the car park next door. 24 hours cost less than a few hours in cardiff city centre! Check in was a breeze. Room clean, comfortable, well equipped - great facilities - the fridge was a very welcome addition! Breakfast was lovely too! Can't fault it at all. We spent a wonderful afternoon wandering around the bay - eating, drinking and enjoying a show at the millennium centre - will definitely be back.

Excellent example of a good value Premier Inn hotel. Quick, easy check-in process. Big rooms which we were allowed to take dirty bikes up to. Had all the basic facilities one requires for a night’s stay

Right on the doorstep of Cardiff bay, This hotel has lovely rooms with a decent breakfast in the morning. everything was nice and clean with superb quality bedding and tidy furniture. Breakfast was self-serve and was of decent quality with a continental to choose from with all your typical teas/coffee's and pastries with cereals and fresh fruit and cooked options too. all was tasty. All you could possibly want on a nice trip away.

Nice fresh clean hotel amazing location. Watch out for the roadworks as they make it difficult to drive to at the minx. (Use postcode for the car park next door rather than the hotel) Biggest letdown was the breakfast it’s standard premier inn, so tasty, but poorly managed cooked items constantly run out and are painfully slow to be replenished which is beyond frustrating if you have somewhere to be. Today there was no fried eggs, no scrambled eggs the beans were basically just juice left and the bacon was wet n really just needed cooking properly and it wasn’t particularly busy, come on premier inn you can do much better.

I stayed from 24th Dec to 27th. It was a great surprise to experience such excellence. I cannot fault anything. I had a large room, a great choice of breakfast, Bucks Fizz, Christmas crackers, a gift in a stocking hanging on my door. Staff were cheerful and helpful. Everything was spotless. The position is great for exploring the area but unfortunately the weather, as everywhere, was too bad for that. I shall just have to visit again!

Great place for the Bay with buses nearby taking you into Cardiff City Centre. There's free parking on the street nearby from 6pm til 8am so if like me you're there for work then parking is essentially free. Rooms always good, quiet and clean. I always go for Premier Plus rooms as they're a bit nicer and you get a fridge which for me means I don't pay for breakfast

Stayed here for two nights on business. The check-in was smooth. room was clean, as was the bathroom. The room didn't get serviced during my stay, and that didn't bother me, but I had to keep pestering reception for clean cups. (Nothing to hang on your door to say, "Please service my room") Breakfast was good and plentiful. Overall, it's a good location, and Modern Hotel just needs the room servicing during your stay.

Great location and comfortable rooms. We had a view if the dock and wheel from the room. The staff are friendly and do a great job. We arrive early so unable to check in before 3pm, they allowed us to sit in the bar area to wait and open our own champagne we brought, providing us with glasses as we were celebrating our anniversary. When we checked in there was a note with chocolates and a drink left by Yasmin for our anniversary. This was a lovely surprise and a nice touch. Thank you all

Just had a three night stay for my birthday and was impressed. Having stayed here previously, I already knew the area. Location of the hotel is spot on. The level of service was great for most of the staff, a few of then could do with some more communication skills. The room seemed a let down, looks overall clean but is very dusty. But will stay again :)

Nice hotel and perfect location for a theatre trip. Car park was only a 2 minute walk to the reception and we were also able to get a discount on parking through the hotel, so 24 hours only cost £11, which is great for city centre parking! Rooms were as you expect from a Premier Inn, clean and well equipped. We had a family room and were pleased there was a double and 2 full size single beds. Everyone had a great night's sleep. Breakfast was good quality and plenty to choose from, the kids eating free was an added bonus. We will definitely be booking here again!

The hotel was great, staff very friendly when I arrived. Room was large very comfy bed large bathroom as I was given a disabled room as apparently they were very busy this weekend. Only issue was the 3 lifts only one of them appeared to be working the following morning and that one was very slow ended up using the stairs certainly not ideal when leaving carrying bags downstairs. No one around to speak to about this.

The usual Premier Inn experience, within easy walking distance to Cardiffs Mermaid Quay. Only downside for me was having to pay extra to park the car, albeit at a discounted rate.

On arrival the guy on the desk was very welcoming polite and very helpful. Really enjoyed my stay here. It was an ideal location. The room was very clean tidy and spacious. The bathroom was spotless. I would have given 5 stars as the shower wasn't operating properly it had come loose.

The staff couldn't be any more friendly and helpful. Perfect location. Rooms are very reasonable for the price. The only negative was the bathroom had some dusty area's that hadn't been cleaned. Fantastic breakfast

Stayed for one night on our way through Cardiff. Hotel was clean and rooms felt fresh. Extra beds had been put up/made in our rooms for our kids. Beds were on the firm side but comfortable. The breakfast was great. The location is perfect for wandering down to the docks and for the Science Museum. Lots of interesting city buildings to see along the way. Overall very impressed, especially given price point. Only downsides were that there are limited adjoining rooms and they can't pre-book them, so my husband and I ended up having to split between two rooms with the kids. Not a big deal just for 1 night but would be annoying for more nights. And both times we were in reception and needed some help it took ages to find a member of staff who could help us.

Booking in was very busy and took a long time this was due to the computer system being down. The room was clean and tidy. But the corridor was very dusty on skirtings and other fixtures. However they only give u enough drink facilities for one drink. The WiFi wouldn't connect throughout the whole stay very disappointing the breakfast was extremely good but I find this is one thing premier Inn does extremely well. The staff we encounter was pleasant, polite, friendly and efficient at there job role. All in all a very pleasant experience thank u

Very good location for Cardiff Bay. Hotel has dining area and a lounge area..where you could sit and have a drink. Open top bus stop just around the corner..which was very enjoyable and used so we could visit the castle and shops.Staff very pleasant.Paying Carpark adjacent to hotel..cost us £22.50 for around 42 hours with the hotel's discount. Would go again

The air conditioning was excellent and really cooled the room. Other than that, sorry, would not want to stay here again. Parking was not free and if you come and go you pay more. When I arrived there was a long queue of guests wanting to go to their rooms and only one member of staff. Luckily a manager came out after a few minutes and showed us how to self check in. The rooms were small. View was OK but through a dirty window. Hotel was noisy at night and people repeatedly tried our door.

This Premier Inn hotel is in a great location in the heart of Cardiff Bay. Perfect for visitors to the Wales Millennium Centre. The hotel foyer and corridors are clean and well kept. The room itself was of a great quality, a huge bath tub and a sofa to sit on instead of the bed are brilliant features. Will definitely continue to use this hotel in the future.

Amazing location and extremely comfortable and welcoming hotel. The room has everything you need for a relaxing stay including air conditioning and a fab shower over bath. We upgraded to the better rooms on 5th floor. Good choice of hot and cold breakfast items. Plenty of food in air conditioned dining area.

  • 5/5 David W. 1 year ago on Google
Very friendly staff. Good service at breakfast, lots of food out at all times even though restaurant was extremely busy. The room itself was very clean, spacious. One small negative, the outside of the room window was very dirty, this could be improved upon even though we were on the 4th floor Overall excellent stay

  • 5/5 Eirlys . 1 year ago on Google
Staff were amazing and would do anything to help. Found a wet room room for my parents as the Online order was wrong. Couldn't do enough for us. Room was the same as all Premier Inn so knew what to expect. However, a wet towel had been left in the bath hanging on the rail but was quickly removed and another clean towel put in its place almost straight away.

Great room for the money. Great location. We did not have reservations for dinner so told they were booked..come back at 8. It was empty at 8, most of the menu items were out. The wait for service and then getting our food was about an hour. My friend ordered the steak - medium rare...when it finally arrived it was well done.

  • 4/5 Jacob R. 1 year ago on Google
Helpful staff, good facilities and nice food. Good walking distances from everything you may wish to go and see and do in both the bay and the city itself. Only detraction was that some of the dispensers in the bathroom were close to empty when I arrived so had to buy some myself to use. Other than that, worth staying there and will visit again if I can.

Staff were so lovely and the hotel is spotless. There’s a lovely woman who seems to work in the bar/reception who is so friendly- I had gotten my finger stuck in the taxi door when we arrived and ran into the bar looking for ice and she ran around doing everything she could to help …! Above and beyond thanks so much . My boyfriend also ordered food and said it was really tasty. Perfect hotel for a little weekend away- basic but perfect, couldn’t fault it

  • 4/5 Outwood5K 1 year ago on Google
The hotel is conveniently located for the Cardiff Bay area and a 30 minute walk from the city centre. There is plenty of parking available in the adjacent paid for parking and as a guest of the hotel you are entitled to a discount and the daily rate was reasonable. The hotel is well presented and clean throughout, and the staff are polite and welcoming. Breakfast was great. Dinner was reasonable though our first choice was not available and the chicken in the curry was tough. We were very pleased with the standard of our Premium Plus room. A safe would be a great addition. The room however did get very warm. Fortunately there is air-conditioning but in February! My last remark is about the internet, which I imagine is the same at all Premier Inns. I do wish hotels would allow quests to simply connect without having to create accounts and log-in.

Fantastic hotel. Room 325 celebrating my 50th birthday to watch Charlie and the chocolate factory. Lovely lady on reception who looked like the manager. We got our room at 11am and paid an extra £10 to relax before heading out. Room was clean tidy air con worked fab. Breakfast was great value, plenty of choice. Stocked up well. At breakfast the same lady manager gave me a box of chocolates for my birthday. Will definitely return.
