Called in Sunday morning to look at tiles with my mother, excellent choice and staff really helpful. Karen went above and beyond to help us out and even explained that if we purchase before the end of January we would also get 20% off. Thanks for all your help Karen 5⭐️

My husband went yesterday to buy some wood. He needed to cut it to size, several cuts and Tom was very kind and professional, he helped him to arrange the various pieces and to find the right solution to use the whole wooden board. Congratulations to the staff and for your professionalism and kindness, THANKS TOM 5 stars all for you :) I came back today (25/4/22) looking for something to put in my car, a thin carpet, they were closing however they served us. I won't thank enough Hayder that helped us and was very friendly and professional. Always 5 stars and more for B&Q staff :)

DO NOT HIRE THE VAN FROM THIS SITE. Hertz tell you to contact a member of staff to record your registration. I did this and have still ended up with a parking ticket as the Member of staff (Wendy) did not pass my details over!!!! Paperwork was also missing from the inside of the vehicle. Don't bother with this site. Go to a different site to hire the van!

All your DIY tools at your finger tips. Including all your kitchen accessories, bathroom accessories. Your one stop for building essentials, electrical accessories as well.

I went in to buy paint and had seen it, on offer at a different store and they price matched, the sale. And I saved £10 on 2 tins of Dulux silk emulsion.

The staff handled what should of been a simple issue with unprofessional and rude behaviour. I've never been treated so poorly as a paying customer in my life. Shocking a big company like B&Q allows this low low standard of customer service.

Good selection of products in a well organised space. Prices can be expensive compared to independent retailers. It can be hard to find staff available to ask anything, but the people on the tills are always helpful.

Most of what we went to look at was quite expensive. We were trying b&q thinking that we would be able to get everything under one roof but were put off by the prices and decided to shop around.

Overall it was a great visit but the items I needed were not stocked so had to look else where

The variety of tools has disappeared from B&Q which is a shame because over the years I have gone to B&Q for all sorts of tools. They only seem to have their own brand plus a sprinkling of others but nothing like it use to be

I have been in lots of b&q in my life but this one so far wins reward “attitude of the year”. We were trying to get a refund for a shower tap as our grandpa didn’t like it. It was fully working and never used in the box we got it from. Now the manager-middle age women, dark hair was saying that cooper was missing! Since when do you sell taps with cooper included? We were trying to explain her that it was not included and it even say on the box however she wasn’t having any of it. You should start recording your staff as it’s customer service stand up comedy 😂. We went to Stockport branch and they didn’t had any issue with accepting our return with friendly attitude. We are constantly using b&q and never been treated that way before. You need to train staff in this branch as they don’t know how to provide professional customer service. I’m disgustedly with the way we were treated… We won’t be coming back to this branch for sure…

DO NOT ORDER A KITCHEN FROM B&Q. I am so angry with how this entire order has been dealt with. I was coerced into buying a kitchen in a rush to get a special price. This was then, it turns out, 5% cheaper the day after I placed the order. I was then lied to about the proposed delivery date, which is in fact months later than promised. And now they keep trying to deliver a few small items from the whole kitchen months before the rest. I’d also like to name and shame Deborah Rice for being pushy, not telling me the kitchen would be 5% cheaper a day later, and for having a bad attitude in follow ups once the order was placed. I advise everybody to buy kitchens from Howdens who have a FAR better customer service, quicker delivery times, and don’t lie to you. I am seriously unhappy and will never be buying from B&Q again (this is after spending over £100,000 in the last 12 years as a property developer). You have been warned.

On 14th November we returned an inside door as ordered wrong size! Ty the Deputy Manager was very understanding and helpful in making this a painless task and refunded us the full amount. We had already purchased a smaller door from their B&Q store a couple of days earlier. Thank you Ty for your professionalism.

Normally a good store, but completely embarrassed by the attitude of a busybody till worker. She was rude and snappy to several people and decided to pick on me for daring to take a short amount of time getting to my wallet after helping someone else pick wood out of the junk "donation to charity" pile. They walked out without paying a donation and she shouted out loud "it's not free" to me, when I hadn't got to my wallet yet, presumably because I looked like a soft target. Will avoid bothering shopping here in future.

Loads of parking in the car park and store is quite large. Big choice of products but almost impossible to find any member of staff to help or find out which product would be best or see if more more stock is available to buy. Garden centre really needs some care and watering as plant's are obviously struggling we bought our fence paint stuff and then for plants and shrubs went to the nearby garden centre instead.

We call here very often, as we're usually able to find what we're looking for. Not today though.. we were very surprised that they have such little choice in shelf brackets, and none at all in the size we needed.

What can you say about b&q. We as normal this one has a huge free car park. Plenty of other shops on this site as well. It has toilets. Disabled friendly. Vast choice of goods. Gardening sections. If you can't get what you want from here I'd be amazed. Friendly staff eager to help. I can definitely recommend this site.

Terrible! I wanted to pieces if skirting board. 24" and 33" I walked round and round and asked 3 staff if anyone could assist me. The assistant was unengaged. Said I need to buy an 8ft length. I told him I could not get that in my car. He said some people buy a saw and cut it in the car park??? I was left in shock! Total waste of a journey.

Everything you are likely to need for your home or garden under one roof. I tend to use the click & collect system, if you know exactly what you want. Plus they have an excellent returns policy if you have over estimated.

Team leader Karen was a massive help. She bent over backwards to help me with my query. Very much appreciated! I would definitely use B&Q Ashton again. Thank you Karen <3

Some things a bit dearer, but using the parallel of Walmart or Asda you might day in Eastlands, everything is there under one roof, so it's a one stop shop, convenient, so why not pay a little extra do it all in one shop, stay out of traffic jams, save your valuable time!

  • 4/5 Karen B. 1 year ago on Google
I would have given 5 stars but the female assistants in the garden centre were more interested in their gossiping than helping customers. One man in the whole place was the only attentive assistant.

I went at opening time 7am, to pick up some paint I ordered online. Great service and very friendly staff. I was in and out, without any problems.

Bad service at main till point! Waste my time won’t allow me using my discount card + accusing it’s not my card. Come on! Doesn’t main till people speak to tradepoint team about these card etc etc

  • 5/5 Andrew S. 1 year ago on Google
A huge place full of everything you need for DIY jobs. Great for trade too if you have a card you can use the trade exit and avoid the queues

  • 3/5 Robert Adrian C. 1 year ago on Google
Its great for in Person visits then you can pick what you need there and then & you know you have what you want rather than making an online purchase that when you pick up goods or get them delivered; goods are missing or wrong. You can still get the goods delivered when you pick what you want, though they don't like it done this way they will still deliver as a sale is a sale!! Just tell them you require a delivery prior to tilling up as deliveries are done slightly different. Note some of the stock is sold by their sister store over the way from them at cheaper trade prices without having to be a trade member. [could be good for B&Q store as the B&Q club card I have does not do anything for me]

I haven't visited here for a couple of years. Parking was easy, probably because it was mid-week, so moving around the store was very easy. Well stocked shelves and I found what I wanted without any problems and the price was reasonable.
