    Bought a present for my daughter's 20th birthday that cost over $150. She didn't like it so I went to take it back to refund in cash, as she'd seen another piece she liked at another jewelers. Upon going back less than 24 hours later, I was told that Wallace Bishop does not do refunds, they only give gift cards instead. Despite going there for many years, I had never once been informed by any sales person that they did no refunds. It should be made clear what the return policies are when buying a gift for someone else. I've received unwanted gifts from other jewelers like Michael Hill etc, and there has never been a problem with refunds. Service from Francesca and the store manager was poor, and I don't wish to spend my money there again.

    Bought a $100 ring less than a month ago, paid cash and lost the receipt. This mass produced rubbish ring is already tarnishing and looks as though it is plated. Went back in to see if they can repair or replace the dud ring and had the rude sales girl regurgitate store policies at me. She offered no help, was entirely unsympathetic and told me I couldn't leave the ring in the store as she would get in trouble. I should have shown the same level of care she showed me and just left it there and walked away. Maybe she needs to get in trouble, rude thing.

    My wife and I received excellent service from Maxine and Sarah with our recent purchases. It’s nice to do a suburban jewellery store with such an extensive range of watches!

    Lou at Wallace Bishop in Carindale was incredibly helpful and an absolute pleasure to deal with. I recommend her and this jewellery shop to anyone who desires exceptional customer service, especially during these difficult times.

    Have purchased from Lou many times overt the last couple times of years, every time I pop in she is so helpful and goes above and beyond with customer service and her advice, she is a wealth of knowledge. I recently purchased a very nice surprise timepiece for my husband to be. Lou went out of her way to help me get it to the right size for the wedding day. Sarah has also been very helpful when ever I have popped into the store. Highly recommend this store for everyone. Large range to suit any budget. Thanks Lou and Sarah.

    We want to pass on our thanks to Lou for making our engagement/wedding ring purchases so smooth. Lou provided fantastic support and direction during our decision making process, offered great suggestions and even getting a rush on the engagement ring for the surprise proposal. After getting engaged we have been back and purchased our wedding bands. We did not visit any other jewellers as Lou was so helpful, we felt we were getting the best service, quality and price for our purchases. WB Brookside is now our go to for any jewellery purchases.

    Just appalling in every way My family have used Wallace Bishop for three generations. All of my jewellry has been bought through them. Over the past four years, it's all gone downhill, and is now on such a steep decline, we'll move elsewhere. I had my engagement ring resized. It took seven weeks. Every time I rang, I got another excuse. I finally wrote to their head office and lo and behold, I had it two days later. I had my wedding ring resized at the same time. It took a further two weeks - all of this cost me just over $700. My very expensive watch needed a new battery. This is the second time. Wallace Bishop replaced the last one and it was $400 to have it serviced. This time, it cost me $600 because they had glued the back on which was "not their standard practice" and it needed to be sent to the manufacturer. They refused to accept responsibility, and they had my watch and wouldn't give it back, so I had no choice but to pay because the work sheet that you get says that you will pay on return of the item. My aforementioned engagement ring kept falling to one side. After some google searching, I find it's because it's not balanced and is top heavy. So we go back. The ring was slightly oval shaped and I took it to be the case because of the resizing needed. Seemingly not. Again, the store tells me that it's a QA issue and that they will fix it for me. Once they have it in their hands and send it to the jewelers, they tell me I have to pay for it as it had been more than 3 months. So I copped this one as well. That was four weeks ago. We've rung to see what's happening. We've been told it's still in the workshop and won't be much longer. I rang again this morning. Their docket says it was due in two days ago (the manager's words) and they don't know why it isn't in. They'll check for me and get back to me. Sad, sad, sad and bad service. I will never buy anything from them again.

    I have been looking for a chain for a sentimental pendant I had made. Lou at Brookside store was amazing -understanding, knowledgeable and genuine! She set my mind at ease and was very professional. Highly recommend

    Bromwyn and Lou at michelton x Amazing and caring staff. I lost my husband and wanted a special piece of jewelry. I just wanted to stay ! They were so kind , caring, compassionate and professional. I actually felt like that were friends. Beautiful soles who I hope Have a wave of good karma coming their way Thank you ladies x

    I went in to try get my $500 gold watch fixed, after being spoken to and then brushed off very rudely by 1 of the ladies working there the other 2 ladies didn't want anything to do with me, then when I was assisted the lady gave no helpful information, couldn't help me herself then told me to go home and try fix my nice $500 watch with super glue.. not professional, not friendly extremely rude. I recommend you go anywhere else.

    The clasp on my bracelet has become worn down over time so I went to the Brookside store to get it fixed. Was told that they don't have a jeweller onsite and that they weren't sure what would be needed to be put it into the computer for it to be sent away and properly fixed. Also was told this is an unusual case despite then being told it is expected that over time it wears down? For a jewellery store they don't seem to know enough about jewellery and their own systems. Was told if I could make it to the Stafford store they could fix it there for me. So instead I took it to the jeweller at the great western and they fixed it for free within 15 minutes. Lost a customer. TLDR : Very absurd interaction and generally unhelpful all around.

    I took my new watch into have a simple job done on it and was told it needed work done to the band but it would be done under warranty. That was five months ago. I’m still waiting. No sign of it coming back from “Japan”, and I still don’t have a watch. I was told to ring the work department myself to find out where it was. Very disappointing and cannot recommend them.

    I dropped by to get my ring size and the elderly woman who assisted me was so rude and unfriendly. She told me that my ring size was letter K and I asked what that was and she said “We use letter sizes here in Australia, just look it up”. She had no warmth and was just plain rude.

    Purchased 2 watches. Returned next day as one had stopped working. When I arrived at 3.30pm 30min prior to closing I was told that a battery takes 15 min to replace and they didn't have time as they had to close, come back tomorrow so I said 10.30am as that's 30min after opening as this would be my 3rd visit in 3 days and have other commitments. Services is not great.

    I recently had a set of rings resized here (my wedding and engagement rings), and although the turnaround was speedy (I got the resized rings back in less than a week) I was not completely satisfied with the service. More care should have been taken into discussing the resizing of the rings before sending them off, as at the time I did not realise that my uniquely shaped rings (that fit into one another) and unusual shaped fingers would have an impact on how the resized rings would fit. I am no expert by any means on jewellery or the proper ‘fit’ of rings on fingers, and I was counting on these professionals to guide me in the right direction rather than just quickly popping something onto the ring sizer and charging me $395 upfront without first examining how the rings currently fit and discussing what a proper fit should be/feels like on my finger. I went back later to explain that I wasn’t completely satisfied with how my rings fit but I was told repeatedly that unfortunately “that’s what was ordered, and the order was correct”. I know these ladies were just trying to do their job but I won’t be coming back here.

    Went here to get my engagement ring polished. When receiving it back it had more scratches then I came in with. When I questioned why there were so many scratches I was told that platinum is “too hard to polish well”. Definitely could not recommend this place less. I now have to fix my engagement ring 3 days from my wedding.

    Wallace Bishop is a long term tenant at Brookside Shopping Centre. Have done business with this shop many times over the years. Customer Service has always been excellent. Staff make you feel welcome at all times. This shop is located in a suitable part of the complex & is close to underground parking. Definitely worth a visit when shopping at Brookside.

    Found the staff very helpful when recently had a heart shape pendant silver dipped and they also sent the new chain I bought from them to match the silver. I am very happy with the outcome, it looks amazing and it only took 1 week. Would highly recommend their service and quality at Wallace Bishop Brookside. Thank you

    Excellent watch selection! No refunds here so make sure you really desire the gift your purchasing! Take your friend or loved one with you when buying a gift! Excellent service provider by the staff in store! Wheelchair access to the store is available & parking is available in the Brookside Shopping Centre car park!

    UPDATE on my review below. After posting my bad review, Wallace Bishop called to tell me my ring was ready. It was, but it was not round! So we refused it again. I need to point out that the issue is Wallace Bishop QA and not the Brookside store. Brookside are the agents, not the actual jewellers. The repairs manager Hannah has been extremely helpful once she got involved. I don’t know if it’s been two or three weeks for this round. I wasn’t counting time as I didn’t want to be disappointed again. We collected the ring today. It’s finally been remade and it seems to be ok. I’m still wary though and will continue to look closely over the next few days. It’s been a debacle. We finally have what we paid for, but we had to fight for it. Thanks go to Hannah, but Wallace Bishop QA and jewellers, you need to pick up your game.

    Another diamond fell out of my partners engagement ring. Rrp 10 800. 3rd time in less than 4 years. Staff tell me the ring hasn't been looked after because it had soap caught in the halo - hardly. Also apparently diamonds always fall out of halos - no matter the price. Who's wants a ring where diamonds always fall out. My partner has an office job. Countless thousands ive spent at WB over the last 5 years. No more $$ from me guys
