Great bistro with affordable prices and updated decor looks awesome. Have visited Penshurst Hotel Bistro a few times and the food has always been fresh and tasty. Only thing would be the surf n turf, the creamy prawn sauce is too runny and leaves a pool of sauce on your plate. The staff at the bistro are friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend Penshurst Hotel for a great feed.

The venue is nicely appointed but not as vibrant as others. Food is just ok. Got kicked out of the pokies for spectating a friend. If you're not feeding them money you need to leave apparently. Pure greed.

Air con was broken when I arrived, dripping water profusely onto the floor, I showed a video to the staff member who checked me in. He was nice and apologetic but told me it was too late in the day to fix and just to use some towels on the floor and he'd send up some spare ones, never got the spares and the dripping drove me insane so I ended up just turning it off. Thankfully it wasn't an extra hot day so it was okay but still wanted it on. Otherwise all other facilities were top notch. Bit disappointed since I paid $200 for a single night but would say it was a one off unfortunate incident, hence not a lower rating. Still recommend staying here, no reason to believe it would happen twice as everything else was nice.

I went to the pub last night. The pokie machine section have 3 independant room for playing. Amazing. Look like VVip. They have wireless charge for phone too

Great location. Close to the train station and great cafes. Rooms are very modern and comfortable.

Ordered the sirloin steak, it was well cooked perfectly medium rare but cold and not seasoned at all.

Very rude staff with no customer service experience at all. The management is worst than their staff. All they want is your money and if you start to complain then they ask you to leave !!! Save your money and go somewhere else where you enjoy your time with friendly people around. One star is too much for them !!!

After a trip to the Volcano scenic outlook, we had built up an appertite, so decided to call in to Penshurst Hotel....Grand final day too. Great friendly service, great atmosphere and terrific meals. They were prompt and serves with really generous at fair prices too. Great country pub atmosphere and well worth the visit.

We had been coming to this place for 3 years, and we never had any problems, we asked for last drinks and the new manager called Natt was so rude that we felt uncomfortable to get some drink and all we said was u dont have to be rude talking with uour customer because whoever they are all we want is a good customer service. We pay for our drink and she just acated like punshurst pub is her own. I would say she just became manage just to get license, and we being a customer for more than a year we deserve to be treated well. Ofcourse not being rude who got no smile on her face while serving drink or taking a payment.

The Food and service is 5 ⭐️ for me but the issue is when i play pokies the machine that i played having printing issue and they said they call me when they fix so I’ve wait 1 week and when i came back they said they can’t fix and now almost a month already they never contact me specially that tall white guy working at the Bar.. its only 50 $ but still bro.. i know you remember me I always play there..

Popped in without notice and had a superb lunch. The crumbed and deep fried Camembert with plum sauce for an entree was delicious and we all loved our mains. Would visit in a heartbeat and highly recommend

Excellent service. Great food and atmosphere and very very clean rooms. Well worth the money for a short stop over. Free parking, just now the carpark is locked nightly from 02:00 - 10:00 hrs . Did not cause an issue.

Room was very clean and had a huge bathroom. Food in pub below is lovely and the hotel is close to the train station for a short train journey into Sydney. The owner was kind enough to allow us to leave our car there whilst we went into town which was much appreciated

Stayed here with my partner for 3 night and the rooms were very clean, had aircon and the bathroom was really nice and big and renovated. The food and drinks were good and so was the price. Cleanest pub I’ve been in. And as I woman I did very much feel safe in this place. The location was good too, lots of necessities on the street eg cafes, groceries, barber. Will definitely be staying here again.

Not sure who just took over your bistro. But terrible. Servings so small. And price gone up on everything. Been twice since new people. That will do us. No more.
