Lou Lou is a little bit of everything. It’s a little cafe/restaurant, and bakery, as well as a little French convenience store(?). I think most people come for the pastries 🥐, which sell out quite quickly. If you’re coming for an almond croissant, make sure to come early. However, their hazelnut croissant was also very good - texture and taste wise. The vibe here is very good and probably another reason why so many people come here. It feels quite authentic and sophisticated or chic without being too pretentious. The staff here… weren’t that great. The lady wasn’t really paying attention and even when I tried to ask her a question, she wasn’t very open to answering. Honestly, I almost left without buying anything because of how I felt the service was. Overall, the food quality seems high, particularly the pastries (fresh and well made), but the staff aren’t that great. I’d prefer to go somewhere that has good food and makes you feel welcome…

I spent a delightful night at Loulou, it was for a special occasion and I was not disappointed that I chose to go there. The food was amazing, authentic french food that is very tasty and refined. The staff was very warm, welcoming, and polite and the general atmosphere very pleasant and that kind on ‘ambiance’ you like when having a special dinner or time out.

A random visit on a random night, and was glad that the restaurant was able to cater for walk in diners. The restaurant is spacious and has good mood lighting. It does remind me of some restaurants in France. Staff were friendly and generally attentive. Food was on point. The stake tartare had crispy fries, cooked perfectly and well seasoned, the onion soup had crispy and buttery pastry and balanced broth, the scallops were fresh and tasty. Out of the 3 desserts, personally enjoyed the Creme Brulee and Mont Blanc a bit more. It's hard to find a decent French restaurant, that isn't pretentious but also good for a casual date night. Loulou is a great addition to the Lower North Shore area and I highly recommend. Will be back in the future 👍😋

It was a great birthday lunch enjoyed at lou lout. The food was delicious, service fantastic and we were lucky with the beautiful weather so we sat outside. Definitely would recommend and likely to return

Came here for an anniversary treat and staff were absolutely lovely and the food perfect. Loved all the dishes, but the beef tatare was a special treat. Husband loved everything! Thanks for the lovely evening :) Cocktails yummy too.

Loulou is a delightful cafe and bistro located in Milson's Point. The bakery contains a wide assortment of tasty pastries and crispy croissants. We quickly popped over to the bistro for fresh oysters and cocktails. Definitely a unique slice of French cuisine tucked away in Sydney.

Great food, attentive service, and they can cater for vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. There is the cafe side, and proper restaurant side. I went to the restaurant and although they could do a plant based menu, the chef did offer some options. The celeric and mushroom main was fabulous. My parents had lamb shoulder and John dory farci dish. The John dory dish was very popular. Interior was great, disabled toilet and wide corridor. The cafe side outdoor seating had plenty of dogs, unsure if the restaurant outdoor seating with shades allow for dogs? Best to call to find out. I suspect it shouldn't be a problem . Overall lovely place, parking is a bit expensive on the street, and busy. Great for dates and to spoil yourself for a nice meal. Definitely will come back

Appreciate the attentive and thoughtful service provided by the staff here when I only found out I made the wrong reservation at another Loulou restaurant and they still gave us a table without hesitation. They’ve got an extensive list of alcohol choices and we tried their white wine and it’s unsurprisingly good. The seafood platter’s fresh and delicious and what amazed me’s the lamb. It’s really cooked well and soft to my liking. Every dish’s flavorful and I like their dessert Bombe Aslaka. However, the flesh of the flathead fish’s a bit too rough to my liking. That’s my least favorite dish among our orders for that night.

The atmosphere is good. The food is good quality and the ingredients are fresh. The fish my husband and I ordered is just too simple. There were only three small pieces of fish on a plate. It would be good to have a little big more veggies on the plate as well. We've ordered two side dishes but the waitress forgot them. For that price, the food and service could be improved.

Tasty experience, a little bit of action as we were all evacuated cause of an alarm and only the firemen can turn it off. But other than that, food as excellent though a bit overpriced. Their pastries were great, highly recommend!

We went for an early family meal on a Saturday. For entree we had soufflé, artichokes, tuna and escargot pastry. For mains, the roast chicken, steak frites, crudités quail and some sides. Then the bombe Alaska for dessert. The food was great quality, well presented and tasty, however service was a bit patchy and slow at times. I will definitely go back, however there are also many other great French options on Northside (Bistro Mosman, L’heritage) and in the city (Bouillon l’entrecote, Hubert, Bistro 916 etc).

Nice food and decor however we were charged $50 surcharge incorrectly ! Would recommend the duck parfait with brioche (although they should provide complimentary refills just like they do at Hubert), steak frites, tartare. The pear seedlip mocktail was refreshing. Note there is a Sunday surcharge of 10% and an additional 10% surcharge for groups of 8+. We got charged both even though we were a group of 4. They rectified this immediately when I called them a few hours later but note this was only possible as I booked under my name and kept the receipt. The bakery next door has delicious pastries. Recommend the mont blanc and basque cheesecake. Would go back to try the other pastries

Lou Lou is a French dinning institution in Sydney. Flawless in every respect, what makes Lou Lou so special is the wonderful staff. The restaurant, paired with a delightful cafe next door, it’s a one stop heavenly dinning experience. Toujours un plaisir ❤️

Such a nice time and beautiful food. Really loved this place. The spatchcook was for sure the best dish but the john dory was great as well with onion soup that never fails. Creme brulee is incredible.
