Amazing place, beautiful ambience, mouth watering food and friendly staff. A place perfect for dates, family dinners or just in case you want to enjoy a river view. Dishes are worth the price. Do try lemon chicken. It's a perfect balance of citrus and other flavours.

Sahra took me by sahprise! From the first step in, the service staff was friendly and attentive. Large indoor and outdoor areas, with ceiling heaters should you dine outoor. Food was quick in and out and gosh, was it wholesome and flavourful. The lamb shank and lamb risotto - chefs kiss 😘 You sure walk out 'happier, healthier, wiser and fuller'. Thanks Sahra!

You could have just said I ordered a lot, which I did because as a reviewer I need to try as much of the dishes served to give a genuine accurate review. I now need to warn customers that their order "can" be posted publicly. Previous review unedited: Nice middle eastern Lebanese experience. The food was a 3 out of 5. The best plate I like was the mansaf, which is actually not a Lebanese dish 😆. The service was very good. But what I really liked about the place, the belly dancer, it added a signature to the whole experience. She was very interactive with all the guests, which made it fun to watch. As for the money to value, it is a bit pricey, paid over 250 for 2 adults and 2 kids. Overall a nice experience.

We dined out on a Friday evening. The ambience was lovely and was enhanced by the beautiful belly dance. The service was great and the dishes arrived pretty quickly. We tried the lamb shanks and risotto after reading rave reviews and it didn't disappoint a bit. It is a flavour bomb! Also tried the sahra feast and that was tasty too. Overall, a great experience, will be back for sure.

Very impressed, the service was impeccable, and the food was so fresh! The lamb beef and Kafta skewers were so fresh.. as I was looking for a local stop in for a quickly lunch it’s such a beautifully presented venue with a great view. Highly recommend! Definitely coming back to do group booking for an event!

It was a delightful date at Sahra By The River on a weekday evening. Below are generous options for vegetarian folks with lovely Middle Eastern ambience. Definitely worth visiting when you feel like a flavoursome healthy refreshing feast around the area.

I had a fantastic experience at this authentic Lebanese restaurant. The service was excellent, and the ambiance added a pleasant touch to the dining atmosphere. The highlight for me was the delicious mix grilled plates, especially the flavorful lamb skewers. I highly recommend this place, particularly for office lunches or dinners.

Really great middle eastern food in Parramatta! Service was impeccable and the food was amazing! Recommended that you need to try a variety of dishes. They have an extensive menu that caters to all. Ambience was great and overall vibe was quite good. Portion sizes were decent and we definitely left feeling full (if not, stuffed!). Definitely a must go for great middle eastern food in a great location!

Hands down the best Lebanese restaurant in Australia! I’m constantly travelling for work and like to try different Lebanese places when on the road as it reminds me of home. This place is by far the best on quality of food, service, price and ambience. The staff were extremely attentive to our table and were very accomodating. We ordered the banquet plus a couple of extra dishes. I only used to eat tabouli at home made by my mum (the ultimate master chef) and have tried it at many different places but it was always terrible. The manager suggested I try it as it’s made by hand in small batches and all I can say is WOW! Reminded me of my childhood and how a fresh salad should be. The fattoush was also amazing and very well dressed with super crispy fried bread. The dips that were served were spot on and the flavours weren’t overpowering at all so you actually tasted the ingredients instead of just garlic or lemon. The prawn dish is something I would eat over and over again and I would highly recommend to anyone! We also had the Lebanese sausages which had a bit of a spicy kick but not too much, the fried potatoes which are super crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, the calamari which was very tender and the fried sambousik, kibbe, cauliflower and falafel were delish! The 3 meat skewers were super tender and we were so full at this point but the manager mentioned dessert was still to come and to save space. We didn’t have any room left but when they came out, had to try and in hindsight we wish we hadn’t eaten all day just to be able to devour them. Honestly the most authentic place if you want a great meal and atmosphere for a very reasonable price. Thanks for a great night and see you soon!

We had yet another absolutely fabulous family lunch at Sahra today. The service was impeccable and the food was delicious - you can't go wrong with the banquet options. It was just perfect to celebrate my parents' 40th wedding anniversary. We all love it so much that we didn't even consider going anywhere else!

Recently had an intimate wedding reception at Sahra by the River and just want to say the staff and venue is nothing short of amazing. From the planning stage all the way through to the execution, Jad and the team were exceptional and everything was easy and nothing was an issue. The sectioned off room was perfect for 40ish guests. Great service beautiful food. Decor and loction was nice too. Had company lunch today but will definitely come back here for dinner again.

We had a corporate function booked which need to be postponed by two weeks with only 1-week notice. Jad managed it very well, no problems at all. From the time we booked to the event time everything went and communicated well. Food was excellent including all the dietary requirement we had. Service was excellent too

The place is huge and has a beautiful vibe! The staff was accomodating although we did not have a reservation that day. They were also helpful in explaining the dishes and recommending food based on our tastes. The food portions are huge so it is definitely worth the price. The whole experience was enjoyable and absolutely worth the visit!

We ducked in at the last minute because we had a couple hours to grab lunch and felt like Lebanese. We were greeted by a incredibly friendly gentleman who offered to take our photo in front of the beautiful entryway. We selected the Sahra banquet and were not disappointed! The food was delicious and more then enough, plus the cocktails went down a treat. When we went to leave, the staff pointed out that it was raining and suggested we stay for a while and enjoy a coffee. The whole experience was super warm and friendly, we will be returning again in the future. Highly recommend!!!

Fabulous food, ambient and service. Belly dance really added to the mood. Braised lamb or chicken or fish meal cost $35 to $38. The portion is only good for 1 person. Hence, if you have Appetiser (about $20, this can be shared), wine and dessert ($8 to $16), expect to pay $70 per person on average.

Overall 3/5 (Food - 3.5/5; price - 3/5) Spiced lamb mince ($23) - 4/5 Lamb shank mansaf with risotto ($37) - 2.5/5 Quality okay, portion wise small, price - HIGH They showed ($19) and ($29) on the menu online and then we went there spiced lamb mince was $23 and shank was $37. Service was quick, we were happy with it - but they said the price we saw was for weekdays and this is dinner price for weekend, that’s a bit odd but thats alright. I do understand they may charge high fir the location but i still feel for the food and the amount - the price is very high.

I had originally asked for a table nearer to the river, but I was told during the second confirmation that it wasn't possible. While the outside and riverside views were impressive, the service was unremarkable and occasionally seemed slow. The dishes didn't particularly impress me; they were somewhat dry and lacked flavor for my taste.

Sahra by the River is an institution, it has been around for 18 years. Proper Lebanese mezza and you can always count on it being great. They have a selection of cold and hot entrees then mains with vegetarian options available. They also have banquet options where you can get a bit of everything. It's right by the river and they host all sorts of events and celebrations. Team is great and it's true hospitality. Love this place. It's a taste of home in Sydney.

We went here friday night, the food was delicious and with much care taken with presentation. Service was attentive and friendly, would highly recommend trying this restaraunt.

This place has the feel of dining in the middle east. I found the food to be of a high standard. They certainly have class and sophistication. The vibe is upbeat. Recently visited this place for dinner. The atmosphere and ambience is pleasant. The staff were friendly and attentive. We had Fried Cauliflower, Coriander Potatoes, Sambousik, Fried Kibbe, Chicken Shawarma, Sahra Feast, Tabouli, Fattouch, Chocolate Fondant, Apple Tart and Lebanese sweet selection. The mains portions were small. Food was nice but not a WOW factor and expensive for what you get. Good location with nice views.

Delicious food, great location, perfect for an event, family or Friend evening. Had the mixed meat platter shish kebab. Lamb peices could have been a little more tender. Dips were delicious. But overall everything was great. 👍

Was here with group of work colleagues to catch up. Very expensive and small portions, however food was good. I was very disappointed with my dessert which they called sultan waffle. We all know what a waffle is but when it came out it was basically 3 or 4 scoops of ice cream with berries and this wafer base which was hard like a rock. You can't call it a waffle if it doesn't look like a waffle. I ended up playing with my expensive dessert.

We had a big family gathering, 20 adults and 6 kids. We opted for the banquet, the food was delicious, fresh and plentiful, and catered for all tastes.The service was excellent, the staff were friendly and super efficient. The restaurant is also beautiful and spacious. We had a wonderful family reunion after lockdown.

We had an amazing takeaway mothers day lunch and we were not disappointed. Food was fantastic and was perfect for 4 of us. Really enjoyed the homemade lemonade. Will definitely buy again.

This really was delicious high quality cuisine, I really enjoyed it. The service from staff was very attentive and courteous. The venue was clean, tidy, roomy and well kept. I didn't use the restroom here so I'm unsure of the conditions there. I'm planning to go back to eat very soon, very memorable. *** Edit: I went back and it was as magnificent as the first, I've been many times now. Fabulous.

Had a delicious Staff Christmas party. Warmly welcomed, food plentiful and of excellent quality, dietary requirements graciously attended to, service friendly and professional, venue overlooking Parramatta River was bright and spacious. We'll be back!

About 10 years ago I went to Sahra By The River it was perfect but now it's so bad experience. No one in front door help people to have their set. So slow service, the food not as we order totally different as I know it and not delicious not worth the money we pay, even the arabic coffee not delicious

Might be one of the best Lebanese I tried in Sydney in terms of food. Everything was amazing, the only thing was the cocktails/mocktails were too sweet.

Amazing middle eastern food with great service. The resturant area is well ventilated and cool, the crowd was dressed up for even lunch. Parking around the area is hard to find best place is a parking lot on phillip street.

This was the worst Lebanese food I've ever had. Everything was so dry and didn't look appealing when it came to the table. We had one waiter that was nice, hence the 2 stars but the rest of the staff stood around the counter starting at us which made everyone feel very uncomfortable. Definitely won't be back, ever.

I have eaten in many Lebanese restaurants, and while most are good, everyone and then I come across a truly high quality place. The food is exceptionally tasty and fresh. The servings are generous, the flavours are strong and the location perfect by the river. Talal sat with us and the conversation made lunch one of the best experiences I have had in years. Highly recommend and will be back.

Food was very tasty, especially the lamb. Staff were nice too. I recommend this place for a relaxing nice out. They also hold functions, so keep that in mind when booking. It can get noisy and full quickly!
