We recently had a 3 night stay at Sutherland Motel. Our room was spacious, very clean and well maintained. The owners, Hannah and Sandy, were friendly, helpful and very obliging. They even offered to mind our precious little Chihuahua dog for several hours whilst we attended a family funeral. As we had never left her with anyone before this was a really big decision for us. We needn't have worried as Misty had a great time, made a new doggy friend and wanted to go back into the office everytime we walked past. We would totally recommend staying at Sutherland Motel especially if you are travelling with your beloved pet. The owners couldn't do enough to assist us in any way they could and we thank them very much for a very enjoyable stay.

Not a 5 star resort but doesn't pretend to be. Clean and comfortable room that ticks my 2 main boxes, comfortable bed and great water pressure. The owners are friendly and super helpful. Easy walk to the train, shops (especially the essential good coffee) and restaurants. My second stay here and will definitely be back.

DO NOT STAY HERE - Worst Accommodation in Australia! I have just stayed at Sutherland Motel, the owner is the rudest person I have ever dealt with in hospitality. I was in Sydney to attend a funeral and said on my booking I would arrive at 12, but did not make it to the hotel until 6, the owner shouted at me, told me I had no booking and I couldn't stay. He then proceeded to tell me I had a fake booking, extremely aggressively, even after I had already paid for the room. I will lodge a formal complaint, and people like this should not be in business. Rooms were very noisy on the highway and the cheap price is not worth the pain. Horrible experience

Loved this spot. Just off the highway and close to Illawong . Great stay for the night and we had a blast. Careful about the sheers, you may need to close the curtains before bed. The front door dude was cool and suggested a great site to see flowers and plants. Thanks man. We did end up at the Camellia Gardens.

Stayed overnight at the motel. Host was very accommodating, allowing us to check in at 10 am after a long 30 hours of travel. Room and bed were pleasant. A nice looking pool is available. No wifi service available.

A neat place to stay, 15 min walk to train station and shopping Centre. Overlooking Princes Highway Owner managed so quick to fix any issues and help with info Would recommend,

The motel is located near quite a busy road (Princess HWY). It is always busy. I don't recommend it if you are looking for somewhere to relax. Wifi is not available for most of the rooms. At least for the rooms located far from the reception. Unfortunately in their web page it says free wifi but it does not say where! The laundry is located in a dark area with no lights. Yo HAVE to do the laundry in the day. Before it gets dark (basically before 5:30 pm at the current time). Not convenient is you have work to do in the day. There is a $10 surcharge for usage. Again in the web page it does not say about surcharge. The double rooms we used was so small. Not very clean. Two study lights are located on the side of the bed. I assume they are much cheaper than the usual bedroom lighting. The air conditioning is old and creates too much noise. Overall, the worse experience I have ever had.

Can’t rate but I have to give 1 star not very clean bathroom always damp on ground has a leak no ventilation and fridge wasn’t plugged in because there was a low shelf above covering the plug. So we didn’t know so, all the food perished. Smell mould near the beds, moved the bed to see where power switch was and it was filthy. No electric blankets. So we won’t ever come back.

Don't take your own face washers here. It gets taken by cleaning staff and not returned The owner/manager couldn't be bothered finding it and wasn't really interested. 2nd breakfast never arrived as ordered. Not sure if I was charged for it??

My husband, dog and I had an amazing stay at this inconspicuous motel! We stayed here for about a week as we are just new to Australia and needed a pet friendly landing ground while we searched for a more permanent rental. The staff was all super friendly and accommodating, the pool was nice and clean. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, had everything you need for a short stay! At the super affordable price while also being pet friendly, we highly recommend the Sutherland motel regardless if you have a pet or not! The only slightly downfall is it’s right next to a highway, the noise isn’t super noticeable from inside the rooms. An added bonus was the free laundry included for guests :)

It is a gem, a home away from home with a pet. The room was comfortable, equipped with everything we needed for a short stay. The outdoor area is perfect for a little walk for a dog and the outside residential area is perfect for a longer walk. The whole property is well maintained. The owner is very understanding and accommodating. We felt welcomed and looked after. We would be happy to stay there again.

Had a swim. Manager refused to give fresh towels. Unwelcoming feeling. **Under new management. I upgraded my review from 1-3 Stars.

Comfortable and clean. Owner was friendly organised a late check in for us (as we wee getting in after midnight). I stayed on a work trip and it suited me perfectly, but being right on the Princes Hwy it might not be a romantic or relaxing getaway. Also only a short distance into ton for restaurants, cafes etc.

You will not find another place with warming service. We had lots of drama with work down here with truck braking down and stranded and these guys went behind what they could to help. Highly recommend and we will continue to support every time we are down here

Like many of this type of business clean room but they all forget to clean the a/C filters my rooms one was completely blocked so I cleaned it!!!! Took all of one minute to do🤔

Sandeep has been amazing and a lifesaver. Ran into issues with our truck late one night and no other hotels would accept a late check in. Sandeep was professional and understanding of our situation and went above and beyond on multiple occasions to ensure my staff & I were looked after. Rooms are clean, comfortable and you can’t ask for anymore. Very Flexible with our changing situation and courteous. We won’t stay anywhere else when travelling down to Sydney. Even last minute changes and requiring late checkout was no issue. Thank you Sandeep for your kindness and understanding. Great to see there are still some compassionate and caring people in the world. Make sure you stay here and support a genuine person.
