I stayed in room 1 while my mother was having surgery 2 weeks ago. It is modern and has very good access to hospital, however I was disappointed with my stay. I was left with an opened long life milk in fridge, bed sheets had a few drip stains on them, shower was not or very poorly cleaned as it had several black mark's over walls that were easily removed with toilet paper. Everything else appeared clean. Also I don't mind sharing soap and shampoo out of large bottles at home but not in a hotel. Parking at the counsel car park was about a 10 minute walk while carrying my luggage from Medistay and the hospital parking has a 6 hour parking limit. It cost me $50 a night for counsel parking. There was an admin desk at the front of room 1 but I did not see any staff during my stay to voice my concerns. In the end I had to stay an extra night in Sydney after my mothers surgery and decided to stay at Cogee rather than ask for an extension. I was very relieved I did as I was much more comfortable and they provided parking.

My husband was in St George Private and this was great. It's really comfortable, clean and very homey, but most importantly really close. They sitting room is great to take some time out. Bathroom is great size especially for when the patients come out and need a bit more space than regular bathrooms. Really appreciate this provision. There's so many things that you have to try to consider when a family member is in hospital and not having to think about how you are going to get to and from the hospital every day or worrying about being too far away is a great relief. Highly recommended for anyone with family members in hospital.

Great place to stay, it was clean, comfortable beds, was happy to allow us to have 2 single beds instead of a double bed. Very close to St George Private Hospital which was perfect for us. It was a lovely place to stay. All in all we were very happy! Thanks!!

Kind, generous, friendly and understanding owners. A brilliant first class accommodation facility a 100 metres or so from St George hospitals, I walked to the private hospital and walked back after my surgery. The apartment we were in was clean, modern and very comfortable. The guest lounge, free wi fi, coffee machine, computer, free calls and on top of that the security of the building is a blessing. Car park next door meant we parked the car safely and walked everywhere. You deserve our unconditional appreciation. Thank you Jeff and Sue for your magnificent apartments.

Great location. 3 minute walk to hospital and shops. Very clean and secure. Jeff made everything so easy, particularly as I extended my stay twice and was never real sure how long I would be staying. I would highly recommend Medistay, and have done so! Will say tho, was a bit hard to find. I walked past without realising. My only complaint is the lack of retail therapy in Kogarah. Was forced to spend far too much time in Christopher's Cake Shop🙄.

This is the response I sent to Britt after our 1 night stay. Initially we couldn't access because no key code was left. Hi Britt, Thanks for the email - but being out of range of WiFi and data during our journey - it necessitated the phone call to get the key code. Printing the Medistay phone number on the receipt and the number you will call with the keycode would help to overcome any potential problems. A bit of feedback for you. The premises were spotlessly clean and had all a guest could need. The location is totally superb for easy access to St. Georges Private, and Public hospitals. On the downside: Traffic noise from the Pacific Highway is intrusive 24 hours. I sleep with silicone earplugs, but my wife's sleep was disturbed. Toilet paper - at $220 a night, there is an expectation of better quality toilet paper. There is a possibility of an additional stay in the next 2 weeks, but we'll let you know. Thanks for your help and info, Cheers

Not luxury, only a double bed for 2 people... ladies - wash your hair before your stay, as the water pressure in the shower is pitiful. The room and facilities were adequate for our stay, but I'm glad I didn't need to stay after I'd had my surgery, my poor hubby would have needed to sleep on the floor...

Tiny room, not bigger than my master at home, for the two of us for two nights. Just enough space to open the door to go in and out and that's about it. The room had a slight unpleasant odor of cigarettes, as if it was clinging to the person who cleaned the room? There was toilet paper in the toilet, that didn't belong to us and a dish sponge, stained black. I contacted someone, by text, to request an adjustment of the air con temp, as it was a balmy 24 degrees and was advised to turn off the air con, which was not much of an improvement. We borrowed a small fan from the laundry room and we were very grateful for it. When we left the room at 8am the following morning, the temp was 27 degrees, while in the hallway, it was much more pleasant. In the shower, the taps worked in opposite directions and gave you enough water to get wet, but barely enough to get a decent rinse and a communal bottle of shampoo and shower gel. The good points are that the beds were blissfully comfortable, the traffic noise was negligible, the unit seemed very clean, secure and well presented, all within walking distance to everything we needed and we were only there to sleep. I guess with no other competition for accommodation in the area, they can charge whatever they want for what you get. Some individualized toiletry products, slightly more attention paid to kitchen and toilet details and the ability to effectively keep the room cool, would make people feel less like they've paid too much?

Fantastic facility at a good rate. A godsend if not a local. Easy to book with friendly helpful booking manager. Very functional and beautifully appointed with quality fixtures and fittings. Everything you need is here. Lovely break out room too. Very comfortable. Internet is secure and fast. Even although my next hospital procedure is in Hurstville I will stay here. Car park (pay of course) right next door. Memorise address and photo on googlemaps. There is no outside signage at the mixed use building. Easy 5 stars for me.

I stayed for 3 nights. The room was spotless. the private hospital a 3min walk. Parking wasnt a problem cause we found the only free spot to park the car for the whole time we were there. Good kitchenette that made live easier than eating takaway all the time. So glad the last person didnt sign out of Netflix.
