I've purchased multiple high end glasses over the past few years from OPSM and had very good service from Chatswood and reasonably good service from Warringah Mall in the past. Just over a year ago I purchased glasses that were $1300 for the frames and lenses which is a considerable amount. The frames have deteriorated twice within less than a year (Burberry) which is unacceptable. I've worn the glasses on average once or twice a week, wear them mostly for driving and when I asked why the frame is cracked again ( a second time) in less than 9 months of wear the response I got was it's just standard wear and tear! If that's standard wear and tear on a pair of Burberry frames, which are always kept in their case when not being worn, I'd hate to see wear and tear on a pair of glasses that someone doesn't look after. Not good enough OPSM. Will not be back to spend thousands more on poor quality glasses.

horrible service and they try to rip you off for glasses. highly recommend specsavers if you want to pay half the price.

I unfortunately had quite a bad experience at OPSM Warringah mall. The optometrist was really lovely and informative which I appreciated, but as soon as I went out to pick a frame I was misled by the sales rep. I made it really clear that I was a student and could not spend a lot of money on glasses, and was happy with something very basic. The sales rep told me that I came at a good time as they had Black Friday sales and that the frames and lenses would be cheap, I asked him if they were the cheapest glasses and he said yes. I went to pay and the cost was $850. I was absolutely shocked and told him I could not afford that, he then proceeded to show me a cheaper pair which were on another side of the shop, this then still costed $530. I paid and left but then called specsavers and asked for a quote for a pair of glasses. At specsavers I got a pair of glasses AND sunglasses for $330. I then requested a refund on OPSM. I was absolutely milked for my money here and I am very disappointed.

Very poor customer service. The manager there was pretty rude and did not really wanted to help me. I actually showed a picture of glasses and asked do they have it and in response she said no. However I went and found it myself. Very disappointed

Beware and don't use this store: nice manager left in November 2021. My new multifocal lenses were not checked on my face even after I said they feel weird....the left lens was loose - 4 visits arguing before I got a refund as it wasn't cut to fit and they tried to fob me off. Also, they had put the old multifocals in a package fully touching each other and very dirty- so now I have my old multifocals back but with scratches! Other bad stuff happened, including to my readers. Very stressful and super unpleasant with this saga dragging on for months. Update: I managed to get through to Customer Care who managed to fix things satisfactorily (thanks John). I attended the Dee Why store, where the staff (thanks Robert) are experienced and excellent.

They have such inexperienced ,unprofessional and unfriendly staff! Never recommend this place to anyone, Even the optometrists are extremely unhelpful. I’m surprised this place still doing business! They just want to sell things to people. It’s such a waist of money and time to go there. I prefer spec-savers %100.

Very poor experience with OPSM as Warringah Mall. I rang up at 10.35am to book an appointment - I was told to come in at 4pm having had them take my name and date of birth. I arrive at OPSM and am told to go through to the waiting area after a while of standing around in the front of the shop. I am sat in the waiting area for 45 minutes then eventually someone asks me if I have an appointment they then tell me that apparently I don't and they don't have time to see me. A very poor experience from start to finish

Staff kind, attentive and well informed. Optometrists were able to give me the correct prescription for specific needs, which has been difficult from other providers such as specsavers. Premium brands and quality service with superior lenses make the price point worth it. Would and have recommended to many friends and family.

We Came in to get prescription glasses for my mum and the team were more than helpful. They took great care in explaining everything in a way my mum and I could understand and helped us get the best price as well for the product and the end result was perfect. I highly recommend this optometrist.

As a returning customer to this OPSM the negative reviews I see are surprising to say the least. I've recently come into the store as I broke my previous pair of glasses I've had for the last 2 years. I went in on a Wednesday and was instantly greeted with a smile as I explained the situation. They immediately offered to repair the frames on the spot and for free, but I needed new lenses as my pair were severely scratched beyond repair. As I was going to be buying a new pair in a few months anyway I decided on a full replacement. They had my eyes re tested straight away to check how my vision had changed. By the time I was done, the frames had been corrected. Charlie then helped my choose new frames that fit well and suit my style. He helped with the health insurance claim as well which covered a considerable portion of the cost. The glasses arrived by the next Tuesday and they adjusted the frames slightly to my face when I came in store. If you go in on a weekend your mileage may vary, I would imagine it wouldn't be possible to slot in an eye check instantly when they're very busy so I'd give them a call first. Overall, the service was fast and friendly, and the glasses arrived quickly. The glasses are a bit on the pricier side but in my opinion worth it. Highly recommended

This is beyond a bad service provider. If there was a negative rating I would have chosen that. The chief optometrist seems like a competent Asian lady and caring enough. Once you hit the sales floor the experience changes dramatically. I had read so many negative feedback before I ordered my new glasses but thought hey no one can be this bad. Boy was I wrong! First they are only interested in selling you new glasses, as if their pay checks are linked to what they sell you. They are not subtle at all either. Then there is an array of staff possibly too many casuals who don’t care much for wether they work at opsm or woollies downstairs. Hence no pride in the product or their employer. When you ring up to chase your order (yes I was stupid enough to order through them) you get a different person. They don’t write up a compete history on your log book so you have to start all over again with whomever you have a lottery to speak with over the phone. I was told by another customer in the waiting area that she too provided negative feedback on line. She also said the only positive ones are from staff and the owner as you can see not much has accompanied a positive feedback! Opsm has been sold off to another company so may be this is part of the story they got too big and too impersonal. Regretfully my order is still with them after 6 weeks ! If you think like I did ... it’s at the shopping centre whilst I do my grocery shopping I can drop in, choose my glasses and get them lensed... think twice the convince of being in a mall is quickly overshadowed by the inconvenience of incompetence and apathy.

Booked an eye test on 15th Nov 2022. Was attended to promptly by Optometrist Belinda. She was professional and I felt listened to and my questions were patiently answered. She was thorough and efficient with the tests. There was no pressure to buy eyeglasses but the prescription was there when I’m ready. Excellent service and I’m happy to recommend to family and friends.

The optometrists at this OPSM are brilliant. They show a high level of care and are experts in what they do.

A pretty disappointing experience really. I picked out some $202 frames, a measurement of my eyes was taken with an ipad and was promptly told $380 please. It wasn't explained what the extra costs were and I had to ask if there were any health fund rebates, and what alternative lens coatings were available. I ended up getting anti reflective lenses, paid and was simply told "thankyou". I had to ask what the process was picking up the glasses and how long it would take. I was really made to feel like I was inconveniencing the sales rep by asking these questions. When I got the receipt I realised I had been charged $211 for the frames and not the listed price odf $202 but I didn't have the energy to go back over $9 and deal with that service again. Will be shopping elsewhere for sunglasses.

I feeling ripped off from this place gone elsewhere. That happened after my ex and my son went for a eye check due to his reduced vision. The shop was informed that it could be a side effect from his medication, but still the shop pushed them to by 2 pairs of reading glasses to the value of $1000 approximately. PS. He is now of the medication and his sight has returned to full vision

Popped in to see if someone could fix my glasses after a lens fell out. No problem at all! The lovely young lady at the front desk (Saturday 29th April) was brilliant. Thank you so much 😊

Sad to see how they treat you. Far from professionalism. You spend a lot, yet you have to deal with their belittling behaviour.
