Currently the only luggage shop in Sydney that has suit/garment cases in stock. However, the mystery as to why they are still in stock is revealed when the selective customer service is experienced. Twice I have entered this shop with the intent of purchasing a garment bag. I have looked elsewhere, which is how I know that they are the only store with them in stock. On both occasions, despite spending considerable time looking at the items in stock, neither of the staff member have acknowledged my presence, despite passing by me closely both times. I have also made eye contact with them (or attempted to) without even a nod in acknowledgment. While I can forgive being busy helping other customers, there were periods where they contented themselves to talk to each other while I and other customers were in the store. Their prices indeed seem competitive. However I'm not comfortable parting with my money if the customer service is not valued. This is not to say that the staff don't talk to anyone. It however appears that they may favour older customers, based on my observations. I'll wait to purchase items elsewhere or online.

Warning! I bought a backpack at Sydney Luggage but after 2 months the zipper broke. I took the bag back to get it replaced, and they sent it to the manufacturer to get it assessed for repair/replacement. After 2 weeks they called me into the store saying I could collect my replacement bag...There was no replacement for me and I found out that the manufacturer no longer makes that model. The staff at Sydney Luggage were not helpful, and refused to offer me a refund. When I asked what my options were I was met with condescension and "sorry we can't do a refund." I kept my cool while the the lady treated me like an idiot while I waited 20 minutes for her to call the manufacturer. Sure not buying anything from this store ever again. Terrible service, steer clear of this store.

Bought a suitcase only to see that the same suitcase but in a different colour was $40 cheaper. Have just paid the higher price I requested that I swap it out for the cheaper suitcase. Noting that I had not even left the shop! She was very rude and completely unprofessional in her approach. No you have paid therefore we will not refund you. Seriously how hard is it to reverse the sale and keep the customer happy. Sorry I did not check this website before purchasing from this shop. DON'T buy from them as I would hate to see how they will treat you if you have a problem!!!!

Really poor customer service. Went there with a simple back pack fix request which I probably could have done myself but thought I would take it here and get it done properly. When the two ladies working there eventually decided I, as a customer, was worthy of their attention and finished having a chat, they basically told me the job was not worth their time and they could not be bothered - which they disguised by claiming the repair I was requesting was impossible. Wound up having a similar result at a tailor in the same complex before going to Mr Minit, a shoe repair store near Town Hall Station not to far from the Sydney Luggage Centre who were more than happy to assist me, fixing my bag on the spot for $10 and within 5 minutes! If you have any bag or luggage repairs, I would try Mr Minit first and avoid this place at all costs.

Scam and doesn't follow australia consumer law!!!!!! Brought a wallet in a few days, the wallet was defect but the 2 old ladies refused to refund and exchange and try to blame the customer for misuse. Contact the manufacturer, the defect was confirm and solved by manufacturer contact the Australia supplier to sent a replacement wallet straight away to my door under 15 minutes. Will never come here again.

I have been frequenting this store for the past 30 years to purchase suitcases and wheelie bags. In fact I still have the wheelie they sold me 25 years ago because it was rated as the best, it turned out to be good advise. A few weeks ago I entered the store once more to discuss my needs and Fiona, I am sure she is the Manager listened to my needs, discussed the price options whilst explaining the differences in a range of bags. Her knowledge of the smallest differences and benefits is extremely useful in making a choice. Its worth noting that Fiona never rubbished any brand, just the pros and cons of each which is how it should be. As an airline employee travelling the world for work and using my bags weekly it’s reassuring to have a store at home that values its customers and knows the smallest details about bags and quality. In my many years flying the world I have never received better advise then by the staff at this store and how anybody can accuse them of poor attitude or knowledge is beyond me. I would highly recommend this store for their knowledge, their pricing and sales and their friendly warm welcome, they don’t know me and I don’t receive any special treatment, just good honest friendly service and the dozens of times my bags has been damaged by baggage handlets have always been dealt with professionally by this store. Thanks to Fiona And the team of ladies there. Paul (Qantas F/A )

The older woman, was very rude and impolite, if it wasn’t for her I would have been walking out with a cross body bag. Upon leaving after having to spend more than five horrible minutes next to her, she rolled her eyes disappointed she didn’t get a sale. After not getting a sale she was heard saying “is it not pretty enough”. If she had have rolled her eyes back a little further, she might have found a brain back there in her big head.

I just wanted to say what an amazing experience we just had shopping for a full set of Samsonite luggage at Sydney Luggage (Town Hall). Denise and the team really looked after me and my family. We literally spent hours in the store over 2 trips checking out and testing different suitcases and backpacks! Not everything was in stock but Denise made sure stock was sourced and transferred in and she proactively kept in touch to let us know what was happening. Such rare customer service in todays world. My sincere thanks to Denise and all the team at Sydney Luggage :)

After looking online for a travel pillow & being due to fly to the UK the following day, my husband and I went to Sydney Luggage; we were so pleased that we did. I’m sorry that I have forgotten the sales lady’s name.. we were offered to try each of the pillows and were suggested to sit /stand against the wall for a realistic feel. Nothing was too. Much trouble & we were offered pillows of different price points, not just the most expensive which I had gone in for. We came away with a cabeau pillow each, different models due to our different shapes & needs. Our return journey was SO much better! I struggle to sleep when travelling but for the first time slept like a baby on our flights. Thanks for letting us try the pillows out & for your kind advice, it really worked! The shop is not so easy to find, it is actually IN the shopping centre- the entrance looks to be the entrance to an office block.. Thanks again 😊

The store under Town Hall has good stock but the women who work there are just awful! Every time I go in to buy something I feel I am a nuisance and interrupting their conversation. Everything seems to be a bother for them. I think they need to do a course in retail sales - or just common politeness.

The staff here are amazingly helpful and friendly, and go above and beyond with their service. I bought a beautiful suitcase here recently but somehow I stuffed up the locking mechanism, and could not get into my suitcase. Tried a few things , didn’t work. So rang them today. The lady I spoke with troubleshooted brilliantly with great patience, and finally we got it open!I’m so thrilled as am going away tomorrow. She’s an angel as far as I’m concerned, and all the staff are lovely and helpful there. Thanks again Sydney Luggage, I always enjoy shopping there, and wishing you all a very Merry Christmas 🎄❤️🎄

Terrible customer services here, the old lady seems like avoiding customers at all efforts until I ask her questions straight in her face which she can’t pretend she didn’t see me, I was asking the sizes of the suitcase she just simply say we don’t sell it here without checking it first, I was looking at the suitcases not the bags, obviously she didn’t want to make any sale to non-white people cause I saw there were obviously selling small size suitcases at the door front. Not enough training and knowledge of your products, not helping customers and even ignoring them. Good luck to your business.

The shop is located in one of the arcades under Sydney Town Hall and a bit difficult to find first time. Not as large as expected but well stocked. They had the particular style of duffel bag I was looking for at a reasonable discounted price, although I would have preferred it not in boring black. The lady who helped me with the purchase was great.

Huge range, bigger than the other four stores I tried. Had exactly what I was looking for at a great price, and service was excellent. Highly recommended.

I had excellent customer service this morning from the store attendant - 10 AM 7th July. And I could see / hear her attending assiduously to other customers as well, before turning attention to me. Bought my backpack straight away.

I stopped in for a simple duffel bag and the woman behind the counter was great. She listened to what I needed and helped me find it, at a great price. Very friendly!

I went in on Monday (Oct 16) and purchased a Korgo luggage weighing device. The charming Doris assisted me with smiling grace and vibrant energy, while the lovely Selena gave effervescent help when I enquired about cabin luggage. Both such pleasant, engaging young ladies, they made a routine store visit unforgettable. Kudos to them.

👍👍 A really nice place to visit, more so if you are a shopaholic like me. The place is clean and tidy, aesthetically pleasing and not too crowded.
