I'm currently living here with my lease up in July. I moved from Escondido last year. There really is no benefit in living here. I lucked out with one of the worst units possible. The unit next to mine was being renovated with wooden floors (due to a car crashing into it). A family moved in and now they have the only apartment with wood floors while the rest of us have to suffer the summer heat and dust. Above me, I can hear practically everything going on. The echoes from the apartments next to me are egregious because we live facing an echo barrier and people can't control their noise levels. I'm prior service with PTSD and this company wouldnt do anything for me. To transfer units, I have to put down another $500. The walking above me is akin to pounding, and the boards crack constantly, usually once or twice with a trip down the hall from my upstairs neighbors. This unit is quite literally unfit for peaceful human inhabitation. When I moved in I was shown a model unit, and there was no way of telling how bad this unit was until I moved in. My building also faces the street and people can barrel down at 50 mph making a ton of noise with tires because of the echo barrier. There are *two* days of landscaping here, for across the street and our complex. The echo barrier makes across the street seem like your front lawn. I forgot to mention the gnat problem and the black mold problem that they force you to waive and acknowledge before being able to rent. There is a homeless problem in the area although not directly on or near the complex. If I think of any more, I'll be sure to add them. The one saving grace of this complex is Frank, the maintenance man. Very professional and highly knowledgeable. Update 6/12: Talking from the unit next to mine at 2am kept me up until 3. I've been woken up by footsteps above and creaking/cracking floors for the past two weeks straight. This building is plain uninhabitable. Improvements have been made to the office staff and talking to anyone there is no longer like pulling teeth.

Please do not move here unless you want to suffer from the various physical and psychological effects of MOLD ILLNESS!!!!! Residents if you’re reading this please look up the physical and psychological effects of mold illness and I guarantee you will be suffering from all of them. This place will keep you stuck and hold you back. Mold isn’t something to mess around with, it ruins people’s lives and they usually don’t notice until it’s too late. Please save your mental well being and physical health and never move here unless you’re willing to accept the consequences of what mold will do to you and your family.

This apartment office worker was rude and unprofessional in the service field. She thinks she is the owner of that place or what. So an uneducated attitude that treats visitors to see that apartment.

The management is the worst! Didn’t process the rent payment on time when it was handed PHYSICALLY to them on the 1st of the month. They waited until it was late to process it and charged me late fees. Told them about it and Annette had the worst attitude and was told that it wasn’t her problem. Mind you I had never sent a payment late. She was being so hostile and defensive towards my husband, raising her voice at him. She is so RUDE, very UNPROFESSIONAL! I had so many neighbors that would complain about her. She should not be in this field if she treats her residents/guests very poorly. As if she’s better that everyone else. DO NOT move here!!!

I have to personally say - I love my apartments. Months ago, I called with interest on this property as I was moving from Northern California. I got in contact with Laura, she is the business manager at the leasing office and she has helped me prior to moving in, leading up to my move in date, she has also help me since I have been in my unit. She has been so helpful, so amazing though-out my journey to relocate to Southern California. Anytime I call the office, she is more than helpful, shares information about the property and the amenities that are open to the tenets. She is very responsive to any calls, questions, and emails. Frank the property maintance manager, is so sweet, kind and helpful. If I have ever needed a work order, Laura jots it down and within 24 hours Frank is at my unit helping and fixing the issue. This property is always clean, their landscaping is always done and all other occupants of this property are not loud. May I add, this property is 8 minutes to any beach access point. Can't go wrong there. Overall I am so happy with my time here at Silver Oak Apartments. Again major thank you to these two people who have made it an enjoyable move.

I've been living here for about 3.5 years and loving the place due to its location although there is some street noises. Yes it is an older style apartments but the Manager Lonnie has been nothing but an amazing human, professional, and understanding/courteous makes you feel home and talking to her is like talking to a family member. She explains everything in depth and takes her time to let you know about everything and makes the process smoother and hustle free. With that being said, I will have to mention the truth, that their monthly rent is about at max levels for this style and age of apartments, I hope they don't raise it any higher because my friends (who live here) and I will have to move out somewhere else. Please ask for Lonnie, she will take very good care of your application.

We moved in 2 years ago. This place is nice, quiet, nice neighbors and staff. Laundry room/ patio recently renovated and it’s a really nice area to hang out and grill. Frank, our maintenance/handyman, is super friendly. He’s a really hard worker and always so welcoming, helpful and caring. We have had many issues with our apartment but he is always there to fix any issue we have!

I recently moved into a one bedroom apartment here and have to say that Laura and the leasing team here made everything seamless for me. I have lived in many different apartments over my lifetime, and Silver Oak has been the best move-in experience in my life!
