This place lives up to the 4.8 rating. It's a small little place but the ramen is good and so is the service. The fried avocado was also great. I saw someone order the milky green tea, I think I might go back just to try it

Love the limited menu that they have. Their broth is so good and flavorful without being too salty. I got the curry and my husband the tahini. Both thin and thick noodles were good. Their appetizers were great as well. Everything came out very fast and hot. Service and atmosphere was excellent as well.

Amazing ramen!! Really great ramen. The pork chashu was the best I've had at any ramen house, without a doubt! Definitely recommend ordering extra pork chashu with the ramen. The thick noodles were delicious and tender, I would highly recommend them as well! The katsu curry was delicious, as well as the chicken karaage! The sausage was good as well, but is more of an acquired taste. Service was quick and helpful, and the food was prepared minutes after ordering, barely any wait! Everything was hot and great.

I really enjoyed the tonkotsu broth. It was well seasoned but lacked of texture. I would like to try it again though. Service was impeccable, but the location is also tough

Beautiful place, went around 2pm, I like the natural lighting look they got going on inside and the dark stone makes it feel nice and relaxing. The curry was good, but personally wish it was a lil more spicy and the plate they served it on was a lil smaller that it was kinda difficult to just mix it all up, but the plating was nice and organized. I get the chicken karaage on the side and add it to my curry bc their chicken karaage by itself is good but in the curry 9/10 The garlic ramen was pretty good if you like garlic, I would rate it about 8/10, only wish their “pork Chashu” was more meaty and less fatty would make give it a more Japanese authentic feel to me, but let me tell you they do a soft boiled egg right, I went to a couple places here in SD and the “soft boiled” egg would come out hard boiled rather than that soft boiled consistency. Also got the green tea milk and that was good as well. (Only picture of the ramen I got my woman got her finger all up in it so sorry for not having a better picture.)

I got the Tahini Old School and the tonkatsu broth was pretty good. Maybe a little on the salty side but still good overall. The shoyu ramen was also good on the sweeter side.

Took myself on a solo date here. That Golden Curry Ramen was soooo good. And it was so hot I burned my mouth, but worth it. I also really enjoyed the Avocado Tempura!

Buta Japanese Ramen is a hidden gem! Truly delightful, with excellent service and a lovely atmosphere. Their vegan ramen is my very favorite :)
