Tin Fish is one of my favorites, never let's me down. Fried cod taco/burrito and fried oyster po'boy. The waffle fries are also great. Too much fried stuff you ask?πŸ€” Never! πŸ€ͺ

Update:11/17/2023 still good!!! The Tin Fish was surprisingly delicious I had a massive fish taco (cod). The location is superb. The staff is nice and friendly. The service is fast and you don't have to wait to long for the your order to be called up. I really enjoyed the taco on a flower tortilla with the white creme salsa and cheddar.

I went here on a rainy day. Ordered some comfort food onion rings and crisscross fries. The best onion rings I've had in a long time. Good size portions. They need more tables with umbrellas for the rainy days. The staff was super nice

Really great Cod for the fish and chips they serve or as a Taco. Very fresh and tasty. Prices are very reasonable for the portion size you get. We'll be eating here again for sure.

This place is awesome. Located right under the iconic Oceanside Pier. Whether your out surfing all Day or just walking the pier this is a must stop for some local fish. πŸ€™

I purchased the grilled salmon plate. Paid about $23 because I also got a drink. I noticed there was lots of flies and bees surrounding the area. I had my one year old granddaughter and I wanted to sit and eat. First thing I noticed about the fish is that it was very light in color. I personally prefer sockeye salmon versus Atlantic salmon. My first bite, I noticed there was an odd flavor to the fish. I feel like it was either old or stale. I could not eat the fish, and I definitely did not want to feed it to my granddaughter. Besides, the fish not tasting, write the bees just did not allow us to even try to eat. By the time I went to the window to ask for a to go container and came back to the table bees were all over the food. The waffle fries were so hard they were in edible I put the food in a to go container and walked up and threw it away. That was a waste of money. I won’t be back.

Best burger ever! Real ground beef, grilled crispy outside juicy not dry inside. High end brioche bun. Fresh romaine lettuce leaf. If it weren't served in a plastic basket you would think you were in a high end bar or restaurant. Ignore the price. It's worth it!

We were there yesterday and had dinner for my husband's 42nd birthday. The man who took our order was so nice and gave us a discount and then I ended up giving it right back to him in a tip. Our food was so good and made fast too so we didn't have to wait very long. We were starving so we were glad about that too. We decided that Tin Fish will be our go to spot in Oceanside each time we visit there. Glad we got there when we did because the line got long as we were eating which proved how amazing they truly are. Thank you Tin Fish! 🐟🐠🎏🎣🐑

This place is conveniently located right underneath the bridge and deck. Lots of other things around this area as well. Prices were $12 to $25 per plate. I ordered their clam chowder in a sourdough bowl which was great. Their double stuffed fish tacos weren’t actually a taco but just a bunch of fish on a large tortilla, like a fish burrito just not wrapped.

Intended to go to Rudy's at the end of the pier but it's closed. That's a big mystery to me. Decided to settle for the Tin Fish but was very pleasantly surprised. The food is tasty, the service is quick, and the price is very reasonable. Even our guests said they would come back again. So I recommend this place if you want to grab a bite while you're on the pier.

Food is pretty good although the acai smoothie bowl is too sweet for my taste. Tim Fish is right underneath the pier. The line could be long but service is pretty quick so the line moves quickly. There are tables around so you could sit down and enjoy the food there. Overall, the experience is good but I would have dessert elsewhere.

Super fish sandwich and tacos! Go for the halibut for the hell of it. You can’t go wrong. Crab cakes rock too. Only draw back to place is all the bees by the tables.

The Tin Fish is a must stop in Oceanside. I eat here at least once every time I’m in town. Outstanding food and service right under the pier! The atmosphere can’t be beat and the prices are reasonable for the area. The fish tacos are incredible!! They’re all good but I like the grilled Mahi Mahi!

Nice big pieces of halibut. Cooked perfect. Great coleslaw and yummy potatoes. Nice seating in the outdoors. Staff was awesome, and food came quickly and was hot. Halibut was thick and moist. Thank-you for a great meal. πŸ‘

Only 1/3 of our food was delicious. The cod fish tacos were the best thing our family tried. The grilled halibut, halibut tacos, and Mahi tacos were all dry and below average. Tip: There are picknick tables right next to the counter service restaurant, but better tables with an ocean view if you walk 200 feet south.

Food was very good. They have a big bee problem. They have a sign that they will package all food "to go" to help avoid bees, but they didn't...so I had an open tray and couldn't hide food from bees which were all over the food.

The food was descent. Had a cod sandwich which looks like all the other pictures posted and some fish and chips. I’ve had better and I’ve had worse. Staff was friendly and the wait wasn’t overly long considering they were busy.

Great tasting fishβ€”fried or grilled. Also the cole slaw is fresh and excellent. My suggestion is to get grilled plate for 2 people and supplement with add ons. The prices are high, and to add insult, the workers routinely flip the screen to request an insanely high tip (with zero service) in a state with the highest minimum wages (and I say that as a former restaurant employee). But … if you want good fish at a wonderful location, where you can enjoy the ocean before an afterwards, this is a choice spot.

Nice place to eat, when you're at the beach or visiting the Oceanside Pier. Food took a little while to get, but it was tasty. We shared a fish and chips platter and my two kids each had a dragon fruit acai bowl. Everyone was satisfied and prices were equivalent to other local eateries.

By far the best meal.. it's such a little hidden gem.. the staff is great, the food amazing.. don't miss it, everything is wonderful!!

The fish and fries are pretty good. Sandwich is very filling too. Not oily which was nice! Price wise, I think it's a little more than it's actually worth. For two people it came to about $44(inc. water and kombucha)...for a 'shack style' food place, it's not exactly cheap!

Great place by the pier to catch a filling fresh seafood meal on your day at the beach. Uncomfortable seating, as expected outdoors in a public area but the Famous Fried Cod taco I got that came with a small coleslaw and some fries was pretty good and decently priced. Would come back, maybe for the shrimp taco instead.

This location of Tin Fish is ideal, right at the beginning of the Oceanside Pier. Outdoor seatings. Fish and chips 6 pieces cod $16.99 on par with touristy area. Surprising it was quite good as well. Waffle fries crunchy. On negative is flies are plenty and trash cans nearby.

I like Tin Fish..good fresh food nice service. The Shrimp boy with that toasted roll is really good. Can't go wrong with that clam chowder. The Jumbo shrimp basket with the waffle fries is my go to. Only reason it gets 4 stars is the outdoor seating which isn't their fault but needs to be cleaner.

The fish sandwich was delicious. I love their coleslaw. My son enjoyed the fried oysters po boy sandwich. Everything was good.
