Not good. Unprofessional and unorganized. Asked 3x for the same referral and had to cancel with a specialist twice. Refused to see my child whom was covered under her mom’s insurance. Update: The doctor refused to release my daughter’s records for 60 days. I randomly received a call after I switched pediatricians and her office said they do not release records to doctors, and I’d have to pick them up in person for $15. $1/page. And I should Zelle them. This is shady and she should not practice medicine. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS!

I was previously a patient of Dr. Bourne and Dr. Oropeza took the practice over during the pandemic. Initially I was happy with her until I scheduled an appt for vaccines and she told me I had to give my daughter a vaccine I knew she had already gotten. She told me many of Dr. Bourns patients hadn't gotten that vaccine series and that my daughter needed it, but hadn't actually checked her individual chart. And when I pushed back she realized I was correct in my recollection when she checked. I found this very bad practice. Then further she always seems rushed and in a hurry to move on to the next patient. This Dr. Is nice but for my child's health I want a Dr. That is going to take the time to look at the details.

I am 26 I was going at that time with Dr Bourne great doctor since I was a little baby and then Dr Oropeza got transfer once the Dr retired. I recommended my cousin aunt closed friend to her it was great in the beginning till I had my girls trying to book my appointment the assistants will hang up on me or say that the doctor leaves early !So I called couple days ago my cousin baby had a really bad infection that was what we thought she had I wanted an emergency appointment and they told me the only appointment they had was 12:30 I told them is there 1:15 appt or 1:30 they said no if cant come then she can come tomorrow morning! She could not open her eye it was bad ! So I told her to take her to Hackensack hospital and her diagnostic was an allergic reaction they were great and she’s better now! I don’t appreciate the staff they are not the same assistant as before the others before were great and will always take me in ! Not happy switching there doctors

LOST HEALTH RECORDS I want to start by saying that I wanted to support Dr. Maria Oropeza , given that I am an immigrant and woman, I really wanted to give my business to her practice , my former pediatrician retired that’s how I found Doctor Oropeza around 2017 My child’s first physical went well, doctor was on time and she took her time with us. I also filled out a request to release records from previous pediatrician, something normal when changing doctors . when I asked the Dr to fill her physical paper she said she charged $20 cash to fill it out, okay I had no option, second year same thing $20 to fill out the physical form. I explain to the doctor that if it mattered that I have private Insurance?Nope still had to pay $20 cash. Fine fast forward I move out of state in 2021 and completed a new pediatrician request my child (records). The Doctor took her sweet time sending the records 3 weeks later and only send one piece of paper of previous year physical … where are my kid records ?? I called and ask her, her respond was previous pediatrician never send her the records, why she did not make me aware of this and why she keep filling out physicals without knowing if my daughter was up to her immunizations, now I have to figure out where are the records and how I can keep my daughter in school without the requirements…

Beyond Unprofessional. This physician threatened to call the cops on me for standing in the hallway near the front because the waiting room is packed. There are people already waiting in the waiting room and the entrance stairs of this location and she claimed that “only patients who are being registered are to wait near the front because you can hear private information. Go wait outside.” that came from the doctor herself after yelling at me multiple times saying that she didn’t want to stop seeing patients to take care of t printing my paperwork. After I had been there for over an hour. She then blamed me for not getting a seat in her waiting room. She said “if you got here first, you should’ve gotten a seat so you’re not standing in my hallway.” So apparently it’s my fault she has no space in her waiting room. she has a policy that states she needs 1 month in advance for chart requests. I asked for these papers in February. After months of being told that they are not ready we were told to come in today 4/11 after 1 pm and that they would be ready for pickup. When I appeared in the office the receptionist told me she is waiting for the doctors authorization. One hour later, still waiting. That’s when the doctor came out and told me “you were not called to come pick up the papers so now you will sit and wait or you can leave because I’m not going to stop seeing my patients to go to the library to print these papers.” My new doctor had requested these papers via fax in February. This doctor said she doesn’t do electronic. Apparently you also need to be in person for them to start printing records because she doesn’t want to waste paper incase the person doesn’t show. But she said it herself, she doesnt want to stop seeing patients while Im there. The unprofessionalism shows. Update: she is also a liar. She did not have to go to the library to print any paperwork.she did in fact print it in office.

Meh, we will be driving a little farther into Jersey for a more professional environment. They're very nice tho... They just failed to inspire confidence in us and our kid's health is too important to risk just because they're very nice.... On our first "examination" the doctor didn't even bother checking the babys vitals... And google had better solutions for actually resolving the ongoing problem... So...

I am prone to getting sick very often, so often that I practically lived in her office. No matter how many times I got sick, she always greeted me happily and tended me with such patience and expertise. She also never failed to treat and diagnose me properly. I strongly recommend you going to her, she is amazing. And every time I call, she always has availability, if not for the same day then for the next. 10/10!!

Please find yourself a good pediatrician, it really feels like your begging her to see your kids. Her office is always always packed. She always seems bothered and can be rude. They don’t answer the phones and when they do they forget to call you back. I feel like she really can use the help of hiring good office staff , I believe the doctor answer the phones herself pretending to be a receptionist, I mean she never tells you its her you’re talking to… honestly I would not recommend this place due to my really bad experience .

Unacceptable!!! I took my son for a yearly physical and the nurse brought out a auditory test machine to put into my son’s ear without changing the piece that goes in the ear. When I requested she changes it, she left to pretend to change it and brought it back. When I asked if she could change it again but in front of me, SHE STORMED OUT OF THE ROOM! I know she only pretended to do it because they never tried to do the test again! The doctor is nice and I tried to give her another chance but if you care about your children, don’t bring them here. They are not clean at all and there’s no one hand sanitizer in sight!

Doctor jeffrey was the best doctor I grew up with and my son but Dr.Maria went I took my daughter for check was the worst she care more about the money then actually seeing child development!

Horrible horrible horrible. So unprofessional, rooms are dirty, equipment is outdated. So rude and inconsiderate. Worst office I’ve ever seen, doctor and staff don’t even know anything. Disappointed in wasting time here but glad I changed offices.

I do not recommend this place. It is not clean (you go to the room & they don’t clean after finishing with the previous patient), the waiting time is insane, and they charge money out of anything. I had never been in an office that charged me $50 per page. Two visits to this place were enough for me. My new pediatrician asked for the medical record and they said that I had to go in person to charge me $$$$, keep the copies of those two visits.

She is so nice to my kids and helpfull when theyre sick. They love coming to see her and always leave feeling better and hapoy. I highly reccomend her.

I want to start off by saying how amazing Dr.Maria is and how extremely grateful I am to have her as my doctor. My childhood doctor was Dr.Bourne but he retired and I was worried who my next doctor would be or if I would have to switch. However, Dr.Maria has been nothing but helpful, kind, and loving. I am beyond happy to have her as my doctor ! She is AMAZING! 5 starts all the way 😁😁.

She is the best Doctor in the world. I have four kids and she is they doctor since they born, she always there when I call for emergency, she is very professional I love her.

We took our newborn to Dr. Oropeza and we are so happy with how she treats our baby. She is a very knowledgeable doctor and that is very comforting when you have a newborn baby. The thing we value most about Dr. Oropeza is that she volunteers advice and lets us know of things we didn't even think to ask about our baby. So far she has done our baby's immunizations and has treated her for all the little things a parent takes a newborn to the pediatrician. If you are looking for a sensitive and extremely knowledgeable doctor Dr. Oropeza is the doctor to see. Best pediatrician in West New York! We appreciate you.

Maria Oropeza is the best pediatrician in NJ She has a lot of empathy with children and families, the team and the doctor have great knowledge in children's medicine.
