First time there and probably won't come back. Might give it another chance but not a great first impression. I thought food wasn't bad and prices not too bad either. 30 minute wait around 7:30 pm on a Tuesday which is fine. All the food we ended up getting was a second choice. Appetizers we wanted, they did not have. The entrees we saw and were craving they also did not have. The food we did get was pretty good but not something we really wanted. We got our Appetizers and no utensils, had to ask for them. Then he came back with 1 fork for each with no napkins. It was just a weird night, maybe just an off night for them.

Made reservations for my family of 3 to have dinner here on a Saturday night. We arrive at 7:45 and were seated at 8:10. Our table was not thoroughly cleared from the previous party. The Korean ribs were delicious, my salmon 3 ways was ok - the only flavor that I could taste was the miso sauce, the other two were just grilled salmon. My husbands short rib pasta was good. We regrettably ordered apple pie to go which took forever and was not worth the wait at all. This was our first time trying Grand Lux and between the drive, the service - we’ll stick to Cheesecake Factory for a quick dinner and smoother experience next time.

I love this place and the extensive menu. My friend and I overindulged - no regrets. We enjoyed our apps: fried zucchini sticks and fried pickles. For our entrees we had a “build -your - own” burger with bacon and avocado and the spicy vodka sauce pasta with pancetta. We went all out and had desserts too: key lime pie and the apple pie. Our waitress, Trina, was patient and understanding. She checked on us often during our catch up girl talk. Great time there always.

It’s not my first time eating here but I was really happy with everything I got this visit. The food had great flavor and variety of options. The prices are very reasonable and you get a good portion size for what you pay. The restaurant has great staff and a great atmosphere to compliment the food. I also have to shout out my server Kelly who did a PHENOMENAL job serving my table. She was attentive, friendly, fast, and on top of her game. Kelly I can tell is great working with people and was so happy with the service she provided. Can’t wait to go back.

First time going to grandlux was today, and I was beyond satisfied. Everything was 10/10. The atmosphere in there is incredible. Food was magificent. The strawberry lemonade and passionfruit ginger was extremely refreshing! The beef empanadas were so tasty leaves you wanting more. The spicy vodka pasta in my opinion was the best dish of the day, the right amount of spice and the taste left me speechless, went beyond my expectations. Chicken parm also a very good dish! Highly recommend. I want to personally thank Danielle our waiter for making this such a great experience, her hospitality was off the charts and her attention to detail was like no other. Thank you Danielle, it was a pleasure and you are awesome! Will 100% be back in the near future.

I have to say my fiance and I have been dining here for years. Love the style and atmosphere of the restaurant. The food and drinks have definitely gone downhill, but the service is still outstanding. Our waitress was extremely attentive n very nice. I mentioned I wasn't truly happy with my drink, but that I'll drink it anyway. She mentioned it to the manager. They went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. They offered to change my drink, which they did, and it was amazing. Two styles of Apple Martini, yum. We'll definitely be back.

Overall wonderful restaurant experience. I would recommend this restaurant if you are in the Garfield, Lodi area of New Jersey. A great location for breakfast, lunch and dinner, very professional we staff.

Food was ok. My chicken was dry. The gumbo wasn't spicy as they said. I honestly think the Cheesecake Factory is better. I may go back and try the other dish and get a better taste of the other food. Server was very good.

It was a great restaurant, we sat at the bar and the bartender was amazing. The drinks was delicious and he even helped me decide the best appetizer based off how hungry I was. I loved it and I am definitely coming back. The staff was also super helpful. So I had to update this review because it is definitely one of my favorite and a restaurants and I plan to visit frequently. We got the same bartender again and I have to give him all the props. His name is Mike, he know his drinks and the best suggestions for your appetite. If that don't win you over he has a drink he created called The Golden Apple. I had a plate of Jambalaya with it.

The food was really good. But it was a 30 minute wait at first but other than that, it was a great experience. The waiter was also super nice. I would recommend this place.

similar to the cheesecake factory but not as intimate the restaurant was not crowded when we went on 1/1 for lunch on a Sunday. our server was great at first but then got too busy to service us.... waited at least 20 minutes with completed meals on the table. she came within one table of ours 2x BUT never stopped to service us with to-go containers OR to offer dessert. we planned on two desserts but opted to leave and grab someplace else (celebrating a bday) The food is just okay, somewhat fresh but not 100%. the flavors aren't there either. there was lots of filler in the lettuce wraps, and there really isn't much to that dish to begin with. The tastiest thing was the dip for the fried shrimp calamari combo; portion on that was extremely small. at one point the blinds adjacent were lifted and BRIGHT sunlight killed the ambiance; really not enjoyable to have sun in your eyes while dining. interesting decor, perhaps going for a sultan vibe? oh and the kids who manage the host position may be lacking training; guests should not stand there waiting while the three of them are conversing amongst themselves while making eye contact with us.

They claimed it was like a Cheesecake Factory, but they have BIG shoes to fill. First mistake, our server was really polite but at the same super talkative, which on one side is good but not for the other tables waiting on him. Second mistake, I ordered a Cesar salad and it came with old brown lettuce which the server blamed the "new kitchen crew" saying they throw everything and don't double check. (What a great way of selling your brand and being a team sport, but nvm). Third mistake, they literally took forever to bring a SALAD (no protein or anything extra). By the time they brought it back, my boyfriend had already finished his food, my side of fries were already cold and the server vanished. About the food: The "steak" they sell is a meatloaf with the shape of the steak and they are covered with the mashed potatoes to hide that "little" detail. My Cesar salad had 2 super hard pieces of thin bread and they called that "croutons". The side of fries is almost $6 and they are soooooo much for just a side and yes I know, who would complain of too much food, right?, Well if the fries taste like old and refried in old oil you would complain of the size and price. They also sell lemonade. I ordered the cucumber one and the server mentioned it was too sweet but I could reduce the sweetness with the water he brought me (so now I have to become a barista for myself?) The only reason I kept 2 stars was the attention but not for my server but for the manager that came to fix the whole dilemma and took a few minutes to solve it and was super polite and not at all upset or nasty. She was the best for sure. I'm sorry but this was the first and last time for me. The Cheesecake Factory is waaaaay better. Their cesar salad is 10/10. Their steak is steak. And prices are cheaper. About Price: $38 dollars and they took away the price of the salad. Meatloaf was $24 Lemonade $5 Fries $6 The rest tax. Never again.

We love the Grand Lux. I've been here a few times for lunch, and the service is always stellar. The ambiance is really nice and the food is really good. Burgers are amazing. Brown butter pasta is a good option too!

Let's start with what stood out the most to us, Zanaya L. our personal assistant at Grand Lux Cafe made our experience Luxuriously Exceptional, very Knowledgeable of everything on the menu and knew how to match our tastebuds with very little description of what we wanted. Grand Lux is a beautiful place and tonight showed me that the staff adds so much value to the restaurant. Thank you Zanaya, we had the full rack baby back ribs and crispy caramel chicken. The ribs was sooooo good, very soft, juicy and flavorful. Drink of the night was the Sour Apple Martini, it was soooo gooood.. recommended to us by Zanaya. Thank you for an exceptional night.

The place and decor are inviting. Food was ok. Needed flavor, just tasted like a lot of butter. The waiter very friendly but seemed rushed. To add to our experience , the table setting person just dropped all forks knives on the bread plate loudly and walked away. If table is not ready then make us wait another minute. It’s about the experince

I’ve been going here for a while with my grandparents and we all love Grand Lux Cafe. The food is always delicious and they have great nonalcoholic beverages. I recommend the coconut limeade, any smoothie, and of course their passion fruit ginger crush. With over 200 menu items, they still keep everything high quality.

It’s such a beautiful place with the friendliest people! The waitress was really kind to me and my mom and we had the best time ever. I left a 22% tip because of the excellence in food as well as great costumer engagement skills. This is one of the best places you could go to if you’re in the area! They have a beautiful bar area, amazing tables and just the best atmosphere. Recommend!

We stopped in before going to a movie and were pleasantly surprised. Our server was superb, he was attentive and made recommendations from his own experiences with the entrees and even a last minute desert suggestion. We are going to add this to our go to places

The decor is good.. lot of detail in the ceiling and walls. Has an elegant feel where the atmosphere could be for formal attire but most ppl there were casual attire including myself.. food was great. Had some of the spicy beef. Asian flavor to it. Music I recall them playing pop mixed some hip hop pop.

I am genuinely impressed with Grand Lux Cafe! Very attentive and friendly staff. There is a large menu with a bunch of delicious options to choose from. The fettuccine alfredo with chicken is one of my favorites. Can't wait for my next visit!

The Grand Luxe Cafe is an absolute amazing first class restaurant that offers guests a variety of delicious dishes and superb customer service!!! In March of 2022, I brought and treated my wife and myself for dinner at the Grand Luxe Cafe, specifically the branch based in Paramus, New Jersey, and we very much enjoyed our dining experience. We were warmly welcomed and treated by the restaurant’s staff and provided with comfortable seating fairly quickly. Our waitress, Sam S was very courteous, highly attentive and did a superb job in taking our orders and addressing our concerns. Both my wife I very much enjoyed our meal, starting with our bread based offering, taco based appetizer and our entree selections!!! Everything was tasty delicious, and timely served. When it comes entrees, my wife ordered a steak and I ordered a hamburger based meal. Both our entrees was well seasoned, impeccably scrumptious and highly satisfying!!! Both my wife and I would love to thank the Grand Luxe Cafe for providing us with a great dining experience and recommend for everyone to visit and dine at this wonderful restaurant!!!

It was my first time at Grand Lux Cafe and the experience was good. The food and desert was good and the alcoholic drinks were strong. I’m not sure if the bartender was heavy handed that day but the drink had us buzzing. People compare this to the Cheese Cake Factory, but I feel like the food and serving size is bigger and better at Cheese Cake’s. However, that is my personal opinion. Pros: They have free parking.

It was my first time at this location and it reminds me of an upper scale Cheesecake Factory so I was impressed by their selections. We had a mid-afternoon visit so we were still in the lunch crowd and before the dinner rush. But overall the service was great as we were a party of 8 and the food arrived on time and was delicious. I plan on making a return trip here in the near future. So if you are going to the Garden State Plaza Mall then go over to Grand Luxe Cafe and you will not be disappointed!
