They told me it was the best gym in NJ. It's mid-tier, and things are getting worse. The owner and a trainer were adamant about how this was the highest level gym in NJ. I have been to Bally's, Crunch, Equinox, NYSC, LA fitness, Blink. Moving to jersey, I was looking for 1 - nice kept sauna 2 - cleanliness 3 - racks and powercages 4 - (extra) amenities (towels, shampoo) All of these things are acceptable at Crunch. I expected even more after the introduction, kinda like Equinox (which is awesome but too expensive). Unfortunately, Signature Fitness fails on 3 out of 4: 1 - the sauna is a total joke. There is a big sign that says limit of 4 people, yet there are often more people, with shoes and clothes, blasting their iPhone youtube and music, phone calling on speakers. Management doesn't care. 2 - showers are not clean, you can see gunk on corners and soap holders. The sauna is dirty. The steam room is perpetually out of order. 3 - racks and cages are great, kudos. This point is checked! 4 - no towels at all, no shampoo, just mistery blue soap from dirty dispensers Extra note: it's supposed to be open 24/7 but today it was closed and it will have limited hours for 4 days for labor day, and most importantly: 1-I called to ask, nobody was there to answer the phone, no voice-mail saying it's closed 2-It was not updated on their website 3- no signs to remind you about closing time during precedent days So they made me waste a trip to find out. At least leave an automated message saying the gym is closed!! I attach a picture of all the people around a bit confused. They have some pro bodybuilders working out here, which could be a perk if you are into that. Bottom line: With the new owner things are getting worse. He is clearly lowering prices, going for quantity over quality. I would be happy to pay double and have a true excellent experience, with amenities, a nice quiet and clean sauna. This gym is going the opposite way. We'll see, I am happy to update the review if things change.

Looks like a really nice gym so I gave it 2 stars, but went to check it out with the “Guest Pass” they offer on their website and was greeted by staff with attitudes who seemed inconvenienced and wouldn’t let me use the guest pass!! Couldn’t even get a tour, Said the system was down! Ok it happens but the attitudes, huge turn off!! So not only could I not use the pass, no tour and barely wanted to answer my questions, Pretty messed up because it does look like a nice gym, guess they don’t need anymore business!! You know what they say, “you never get a second chance at a first impression” and their first impression was such a turn off, my friend and I will not return!!

A bit pricey, but it is worth it. It has lots of amenities. Tons of machines, tons of weights nice and neat. Showers, Saunas, Kids daycare center, Chiropractor, phenomenal Juice Bar, they're having a race track put in, they have a strongman room, tanning and a private section just for women. The best thing of all 24hrs!!!

THIS GYM IS A CIRCUS SHOW, they claim they are open 24/7 but they are litertally closed for any reason possible while all the others are open! when i signed up it was 32 a month with a sign up fee, now its 38 they had to increase it because inflation right? they claim they add new machines but its all for the new strength conditioning place, which cost like 200 a month. no thank you keep ur scam to urself. today they are closed because they are filming a show, another time at another gym and i must say its getting real annoying

This is the BEST gym ever… hands down! They have a professional staff, outstanding trainers, and it is always clean and the clientele are super friendly. The rates are perfectly acceptable for what is given. Steam room and sauna, classes, child care, food, coffee and protein shake bar that is the ultimate. Parking is plentiful and now the weights… so many to choose from and their new strength and conditioning room is beyond magnificent. This gym is open minded to hardcore weightlifters, competitive bodybuilders and also the newbie trying to stay fit. Sad when I saw someone named Mike Dias put this place down.

This is the best gym in at least an hour driving radius, bar-none. Everything about the facility is great, the bathrooms are clean, the equipment is clean, there is a large selection of high quality equipment, and there are a host of amenities I honestly don't even use to their fullest potential. Staff is friendly and welcoming, even the average patron of the establishment is welcoming. There is even a clinic for therapy/wellness attached that I would highly reccommend.

Honestly best gym I’ve ever been to, and I used to be a member of equinox. Every machine imaginable and they’re always available no matter how busy. Great steam room and sauna, great protein shakes and juice options, and the best part is that they have a women’s only section. No weird scary men staring or yelling. Seriously pleased with my decision to join. Shoutout to Ernest for making the signup process seamless

Personally, customer service for me is number one, and I gotta say, it’s very poor here. I came in as a walk-in requesting a tour. I did not feel welcomed at all, in fact the female who took me on the tour actually gave off the “you’re a burden, can’t wait to get this over with” energy. The gym itself is beautiful, extremely close to my home, and I was eager for a new gym membership, but the customer service SUCKS. Which is the SOLE reason why I left the gym without a membership that day. I guess after working 10 years in customer service, including management and 3 different gyms I know exactly what to look for in employees in certain positions. Lastly, in other businesses, I see the owner take accountability for their faults and acknowledge that steps forward will be taken towards fixing the problem at hand. And I find it insanely pathetic how it’s only the least critical reviews that are met with responses from the owner of this business.

Love this gym, I have been a member for 10yrs. However, I am truly disappointed that their new gym area that they’ve been working on since covid is an entirely different membership. Us as members already pay enough as is and now we should pay two memberships for one gym? Seems greedy&unfair.

Signature Fitness Health Complain. I’ll start this review by emphasizing that I appreciate everything that this gym has to offer, especially the Sauna section of the locker room. This amenity is one of the sole reasons, if not the main reason that I chose to become a member. I have been coming to this gym about 5-6 times a week for a little over a year now. I left both of my memberships at LA fitness and Planet fitness because I had everything that I needed here, until the recent health concerns I’m having due to my complaints not being taken seriously or attended to. I usually come into the gym around 8pm every day and prior to my workouts, I stretch & warm up in the sauna for 20 minutes everyday. Now, with this being said… I have seen the same people (clients and workers included). My complain is even with signs stating that no sprays or anything of the sort should be applied, administered, or sprayed with in the sauna, according to a cleaning woman who constantly sprays a menthol spray that I am allergic to, this is not the case. Now she has sprayed this on various occasions, even after I have asked her not to because I seem to constantly have allergic reactions to it, furthermore causing me to not be able to work out due to dizzy spells, nausea, headache & sneezing. This wouldn’t be an issue if it was addressed properly the first few times that I’ve told Tina and other associates at the front desks. Even after telling the front desk staff, as well as the cleaning lady in English and in Spanish (so that I know she understands me both ways) it seems as though now it’s being sprayed maliciously & on purpose. There have been instances where she will see me walk into the locker room, and go to the sauna to the spray the menthol scented mix prior to me entering, as I do everyday like I stated above. In retrospect, I’ve realized this scenario is particularly with those certain woman because when she is not working, the sauna seemingly does NOT smell of strong menthol as if it was JUST sprayed. I’m writing this review in hopes that ownership sees this and addresses it, because at this point it’s dangerous for me and redundant for me to keep coming to this gym if my safety isn’t a concern to any extent. What’s it going to take for this to be taken serious? For me to go into anaphylactic shock?

Let me start by saying this is a great gym a lot of machines it has a sauna that’s a big plus. BUT this happened to me 3 times. Every time that I need something from the front desk like my card don’t work or needing to ask a question etc. The girls in the front always have a attitude.

I have been working out at Signature for over 5 years. My whole family has joined at some point or another. The best gym around. I love the class schedule. Danielle's Boot Camp and Spin are the best. They have every machine you could possibly imagine. There are tons of free weights and squat racks. Weights from light to super heavy. I love the 24-hour access. The locker room and sauna. Did I mention? It's always clean.

I like their gym concept, but based on the membership prices, I expect to be at least able to have working machines. There have been multiple machines that are broken for weeks, and it’s bothersome when it’s crowded. Not only that but it has been so populated that people are parking between parking spaces, making it difficult to get out of the parking lot. They have to enforce some rules for parking because it is making it unsafe.

Took me a while to get around to writing this, but I did personal training with Kenny Reilly for a few months. I dropped 15 pounds within 2 weeks with his guidance. By the time my sessions ended, I was 25+ pounds down in literally a few months. He worked with me at my pace and we achieved what we set out to do from the beginning. Highly recommended gym for the great equipment, and if you’re looking for a personal trainer, Kenny is your guy!

Terrible customer service. Everything is always a hassle and a bother to those at the front desk. They’re too busy hooting and hollering than paying attention to their members.

Where do I start with this gym. 24 hours. The amount of options this gym holds, no matter how busy this gym is theirs always something to do. Tanning salon is amazing. Juice bar is one of the best, the pose room and the lighting makes me want to go even more. Very clean gym. Always putting new machines out, always looking to upgrade the gym. The new strength and conditioning is the best and one of the top facilities in the state. With everything your looking for as a strongman, cross-fitter, body builder, etc. The vibes are always great in this gym, also their music playlist is immaculate. Definitely the best gym on the east coast. You pay for what you get which is a QUALITY gym.

Again theyre doing heavy renovations to their powerlifting area! They are constantly improving every part of their gym non stop. Ive never seen it at a gym before! Normally the owners let the gym rot while they put their feet up. The owners take this gym very seriously. Belleville should be paying the owners! An absolute gem in belleville.

I have been to over 20 gyms throughout NJ. This is hands down the best gym ive been too. Managment does an amazing job of cleaning and also fixing any type of issues . If something needs to be fixed, theyre on top of it. I can tell the owner (whom i never met) is on top of every single detail because things are added/changed all the time. Also, i love the fact theyre not strict on chalk!

It's fine for the price. Good amount of machines/weights, so unless you're going at a peak time, you won't have to fight anyone for equipment. Maintenance has definitely taken a dive since the pandemic; paper towel and hand sanitizer machines stay empty for long periods of time, and despite the "no overnight locker" policy, that's definitely not enforced (the same denim jacket has been in one locker for weeks, if not months). They had been pretty good about COVID policies for a while, but now it seems like they're doing the bare minimum, really only touting the fact that they have hand sanitizer (which again, many machines are empty) as a way they're keeping gymgoers safe. Also its definitely more of a bodybuilding clientele here, so if you're a novice or weekend warrior (i.e., someone that's not consuming 1000g of protein a day), you're gonna look REAL out of place on the floor. In a nutshell, the place is fine, though not as good as it was a few years ago and it might be time for me to consider other places.

Great gym with fantastic equipment. I would give five stars by I don’t know what’s up with music. Most places play pop but here they play hard metal. It’s torture. Most people in the gym complain about it but there it is every day. I actually switched from AirPods to airpod pros to block it out because it has the nerve to be loud and awful.

The food and front desk services at this establishment are inadequate and have resulted in extended wait times and poor customer service. Additionally, a trainer with long hair and braids has been observed disregarding customers. I would recommend seeking other options for your fitness and nutrition needs.

Dope gym, great equipment, great working app where i can sign in with just my apple wallet, awesome workers, sauna, toilets are clean, theres a daycare, a mini pro room with calibrated weights, boxing room, pose room, food and drink bar, big gym area for big activities, vast amounts of parking all over the area, they offer student and veteran discounts. They go above and beyond to provide an amazing gym experience, my go to and only gym.

Amazing gym!! It’s always kept clean and the atmosphere is always great. I started taking advantage of the tons of classes they offer, which is included with the membership!! And it’s been great and very motivating! My favorite class right now is cycling. The instructors are soo nice and always have a great attitude during the class! They also have a women’s only section that is more private which is a great bonus as well. I always end my workout in the sauna and it’s extremely relaxing. Highly recommend this gym.

This gym is amazing !!! Personally I signed up because of the diverse classes depending on what your trying to work on; from yoga to spinclass bootcamps they have HIIT, CrossFit Zumba , row n go , CrossFit to name a few 😅, I really love how they have the boxing bags u can either sign up for a class or just go punch the bag around after or before a workout and burn a bunch of calories like that. They have a bunch of machines so you really don’t have to worry about waiting for a machine to open up there’s so many to choose from and also free weights as well. What really had me sign the contract was the fact that they provide a completely separate gym area for the ladies in case you feel a bit intimidated or shy to work out in front of all the more advanced people they have their own separate gym inside the ladies locker room as well as sauna AND steam room which is another fave of mine. For the parents if you have the little ones they have a drop off center, they can play and interact with the other kiddies while you get your work out in I believe it’s a 2hr window for that if I’m not mistaken( hopefully I get to take advantage of that one day ). They also have tanning beds if you like to do that kind of thing and on ur way in or out you can help yourself to the juice bar which is absolutely AMAZINGGGG, aside from their amazing juices they also have healthy meal preps to choose from you can either pick from what’s left from the fridge or you can personally make an order so you don’t have to worry about making things at home it’s a one shop stop ! I’m obsessed and did I mention it’s 24/7 !!!! Go sign up now 💪🏼♥️ you won’t regret it.

The best gym in town. Rarely a wait for equipment, lots of machines and excellent staff. If you’re looking to ditch your chain gym, this is the one. I was constantly frustrated with the lack of equipment, long waits and troves of high school kids at the chain gyms. Signature offers a premium experience but yet still feels personalized.

I love this gym so much, it’s spacious, open 24/7, great shakes, healthy food or fresh juice available for purchase, a women’s only room, great classes, sauna and steam room to die for, something for everyone but an especially lovely place for people who are serious about their fitness. I also love that at any given hour there is always a full cleaning staff on, and it always smells wonderful when I walk in, unlike some gyms which can get a little musty lol.

I came into this gym wanting a tour as I’m new to the area and was shopping around for a new gym. This was gym #3 that I visited that day. I told the front desk that I’m looking for a new gym and would like a tour. As I waited, I couldn’t help but notice that the front desk customer service skills weren’t the best. A particular female staff was not greeting the members that greeted her. Eventually another female walked up to me. I thought it was a member. I was taken back at her appearance. This female employee was wearing pink neon sandals, hair tied up in a messy look, sloppy attire, just very unpolished overall. Grant it, I am aware that this is a gym facility and the employees are going to dress the part. I myself have worked at Planet Fitness, LA Fitness and 24 Hour Fitness so I am very well aware of what an employee’s uniform in a gym setting looks like. Laid back, sporty and casual for the most part, depending on the gym. But the professionalism this female that walked up to me imposed, was second to none. From her attire to her attitude. We went to a room with corporate looking desks and she sat down. Confused, I followed suit. I sat down in front of her. I asked “am I able to see the gym?” She said yes. She continued to settle in her chair looking for something. I noticed her name tag. It read ‘Nicole, Tanning/Juice Bar Manager’ I then said “Is your name Nicole?” She said “yes” I said “Hi Nicole it’s nice to meet you” She smiled. She then proceeds to pull out a menu of membership rates. She then quickly explains the menu. It was clear that her only goal was to get through everything as quickly as she could. I asked her to re-explain and backtrack a few times because she was speeding. At the end, she assumed I was going to sign up. I told her I’d like to see the gym. Not to my surprise, she sped through the tour as well. I found myself asking her many questions because she wasn’t explaining anything. She walked so fast that I had to slow down the pace myself. The gym itself was beautiful, I was taken back at how many things it has to offer, so I was extremely interested in checking out all spaces we walked by. Her on the other hand, was eager to get the tour over with, it was prevalent by her demeanor. She was over it the second she came into contact with me on the couches. We got to the bathroom. Her attitude remained the same. “This is here, that is there” I on the other hand, like to take my time (within reason) to check things out, especially the cleanliness of the locker rooms, especially because I’ve worked in 3 different gyms, especially because I know exactly what to look for. As I was checking the bathroom out, I was also checking her behavior out. She was completely checked out at this point, if she wasn’t already from the beginning. She was completely disengaged, leaning against a wall while I was looking around, face glued to her phone. We went on to walk the rest of the gym. I am going to keep repeating myself if I continue explaining to you the tour. Pretty much it remained the same. Disconnected, disengaged, uninterested in explaining anything to me, me asking a ton of questions and me taking myself on the tour. At the end of the tour, I told her that I loved the gym but did not like her. At all. Nicole’s customer service was terrible. I am huge on customer service as I’ve worked in it for 10 years myself as the face of the company, in every company, including 3 well known gyms. As an employee in a management position, Nicole’s attitude was a disgrace. I had explained to her that her customer service skills sucked and for that reason I did not join. I did not feel welcomed there at all. Her excuse was that she’s pregnant. I told her that is no excuse. The gym itself is beautiful, and has a lot to offer, but because I felt like a bother to her, I ultimately decided not to give this gym my business. I hope this goes to show how important it is to make patrons feel welcomed, and that their business will be appreciated. And I did not feel that way at all at Signature Fitness in Belleville.

This place has a lot to offer. There is so much equipment and classes. They have a physical therapist, tanning area, posing room, yoga program etc. Also, it's open 24 hours! This is the first time that I had to pay for a gym membership because I always worked at them - hence free membership. They gave me a good deal and they are working on an area for something like CrossFit too. So, that place is doing well and it's the kind of place where you can work hard and not worry about freaking people out because so many people are doing hard lifts. I'm very satisfied there.
