Food was four star (portions taste and price five star/service 1 star). Rachel was our server and introduced herself by saying her manager said she sucked. He was right! When she delivered a tray of cocktails she almost spilled on one of our party and passed the cocktails out from one stationary place instead of delivering individually. She took food orders from a table that was seated after us and made us wait to order. We didn’t get served our dessert and coffee 15 minutes AFTER we paid the bill. Overheard her tell another waiter she had to MAKE our desserts. Interesting… didn’t know she was also the chef. Will definitely give this place another try as the food was great but will make sure I ask for the head waiter George.

Stopped in for dinner Saturday evening before Mother's Day, was crowded but we were seated almost immediately. Service was quick, food was delicious. I had the Bolognese, which is pictured below. Forgot what she ordered but she loved it. We have eaten here quite a few times and always have a great experience.

7/23/21 visiting this neighborhood for first time I was in the mood for Italian food. I always read reviews before dining. Arrived at 4:30pm Greeted and felt comfortable. The staff is exceptional and very attentive. Stuffed oysters to die for!!!! Nicolas was wondering and Roseann our waitress was great!!! The food, Deco, service music, vibe very good! But when I ordered the “homemade mushroom ravioli “ I was super disappointed. I expected better. As I love and eat Italian food!!!

Always have a great experience with excellent service and food when here! We normally sit at the bar and love when we catch Berry working at the bar. She always has a new cocktail in mind, and it never misses! Highly recommend!!

My wife and I met three friends here today for lunch. They are leaving tomorrow on a Celebrity Cruise from Bayonne. I want to let you know we had a great time and great food at this Ristorante. Mostly had seafood and it was excellent and had a very fair price. Service was also excellent from waiter and all other staff. We will definitely return for some great Italian food in the near future. Sincerely, Robert Matz

Comfortable and welcoming local Italian spot. We went for the first time on my birthday, and we had a great experience. The bolognese was delicious and a great portion size. The pasta tasted fresh. The staff were all so welcoming and friendly, and we had multiple people checking in on us throughout the night. Seems like a popular spot with locals, as tables were filling up as the time went by. I’ll definitely be back. Great prices too!

I ordered to go food, my chicken was uncooked/pink, I called the restaurant to let them know, they said and I quote “if I didn’t want it pink, I should’ve asked for it to be more cooked” what does that even mean??? I had to go in person to bring the food back they didn’t even offer over the phone to have it recooked/ or a refund. It was supposedly my fault, anyways. The way this was handled unprofessional, no apology or anything as well (I was not rude at all) honestly understanding because I have worked in food industry before but this is another level wow.

Spent New Years Eve there. Watched the ball drop. Great festive atmosphere. They even gave out a glass of complimentary champagne 🍾 at Midnight. Nice touch by the owner! Great experience, I would do that again next new year!

Fantastic food and service. I wish I had taken a photo of the experience! Course after course of fine Italian cooking in the heart of our area. The atmosphere does not get more authentic and is worth the price if you're celebrating a special occasion or feeling like a week has gone well. The menu is stuffed with original and traditional recipes, including specialty fish and seafood dishes on top of the portions of pasta and prime wine selections. We could have ordered another round of the perfect calamari and clams oreganata, but the entrees were well worth making it to the final course. I recommend tartuffo ice cream as a dessert. The options for coffee and sweet cakes will make you want to stay an extra hour as the vintage Italian songs they play for ambiance complement the meal. Our five had enough to wrap up and enjoy the next day.

Lassoni is a great Italian restaurant in town. It has lunch special 1130am-3pm. This time, I was dissatisfied. First the entrees (chicken) were really small, it wasn't like that before as I've been going there for years. Second, the lunch special comes w coffee or tea. When the guy asked if we wanted coffee or tea, we said yes n he never told us that green tea was not part of the lunch special n was charged for it. Of course, I paid as the waitress didn't make the effort to rectify the bill. Overall, the food was good, the location is convenient. Restaurant has parking in the back n gets full easy. It has a bar n party rooms available. I recommend Lassoni for lunch, diner and/or special occasions.

The restaurant was packed when we got there, even though it was a middle of the week... but since we had a reservation, we had a a table waiting for us and there was no wait (that just tells you how great of a place it is). The food was absolutely amazing, everything they served was fresh, you can tell! The staff was great! Even though it took some time for us to get our orders, we knew the 4 servers who were working at the time were doing everything they could to be attentive to their guests. I don't even know how they managed to be at every table and kept everyone happy. They work really hard! So, after a great meal and great company you get a bill and you have to take a second look, because with everything being overprices these days, you realize that this is one of the places that doesn't take advantage of you and still gives you more. The price you pay is so reasonable, you won't believe it. I have been here numerous times and they never disappoint. There was eight of us at our party and we all loved the whole experience. Now, everyone at our party (and their parties) will be here regularly because they appreciate the overall experience. Thank you Lassoni Restaurant!!! You are a gem that everyone needs to know about!!!

I’ve been here a few times before and everything was great. Tonight was completely different. This is a picture of my medium RARE prime rib. I said it was overdone and he brought it back to me saying the chef couldn’t make it medium rare and I could just eat the middle. Then the server was quite rude. Telling me I could only have a specific dessert with my meal. When I said I had a different dessert with the special in the past, the server insisted I did not. I know what I had and when I had it. When I asked to speak to the manager, he started walking away then turned and pointed his finger at me and said “ you are not going to pull this with the manager.” He came back and said the manager was too busy to come to my table (how convenient). Finally, they tried to charge me for a coffee that was supposed to be included with the price of the special. Can’t help but wonder how many people don’t check their bill and get overcharged. It’s too bad that the service was subpar because the food is quite good. However, the taste and the service go hand in hand.

This was my fourth time here and I am never disappointed. The stuffed pepper appetizer is unbelievable. Stuffed with all meat! My cousin and I both had it as an entree it was so big. Food is wonderful. It is nice to dine with linen tablecloths and napkins. Very reasonably priced.

Recently visited on a weekday for a repast gathering, first time. Great location on the main street, just down the way from Holy Cross Cemetery. Great restaurant for moderately large groups, intimate gatherings, and dates with a full bar up front - versatile. Affordable, too. I imagine they have open seating on a regular day. There was an event happening next door. Though separated by a heavy retractable partition, I must say the sound barrier was excellent. That or maybe both events were enjoying themselves to the point where noise was not of a concern. Either way, great feature that they can utilize the restaurant for large gatherings and intimate seating simultaneously. Nice atmosphere, clean, with an old-school italian decor/feel. We were warmly greeted upon entry and had attentive and personable service. Our tables sat about 11. Hats off to the bartender. The menu consisted of Italian family style appetizers, offering a choice of 4 entrées - Chicken Parm, Chicken Francesca, some kind of tasty Pork Chop I heard, and a Fish dish I can't recall. One person had that pork chop, which looked like a whole steak 😳; white meat, though, and it was nice and juicy 😂. The food was good, lots of tomato based everything, as it's Italian. The seafood was fresh and flavorful. The dessert cookies and coffee sinful, but welcomed lol. We'll be returning.
