This place is so beautifully decorated it doesn't look like it should be dog friendly, but the staff love dogs! Even our two big puppies were welcome, and no one was worried about them jumping on furniture (though we tried to stop them). The food was great, particularly the red wine sauce with the steak. Would highly recommend

We stayed here for Christmas and wasn't sure what to expect. It was great. Staff we super friendly and helpful - a genuine asset of the hotel. The hotel had put a lot of thought into the experience which really made our Christmas. Location is great. Short walk into the town albeit steep but not an issue for us at all. Food overall was really good. Hotel is having some work done which is noticeable but they were super clear with us what to expect and it didn't bother us at all. Fowey itself is a very cute Cornish town with all the amenities you need whilst remaining a quaint place to stay. We would love to come back and enjoy the new facilities once complete. Thank you Fowey Hall and happy new year!

Didn't stay as had a terrible experience trying to book Booked a room via their website and received a confirmation web page and email. 24 hours later was emailed to say room was not booked and I needed to provide alternative card details via phone within 48 hours or room would be cancelled. No telephone number provided and no attempt was made to call. Requested cancellation which was confirmed by the hotel via email only to receive an another email a few days later with a pre-stay confirmation, reminding me of my forthcoming stay. Hardly luxury service.

It's an authentic gem in Cornwall. The site has a spectacular location, with the sea/harbour/river views. It's a really calm place. Many shops around in case you miss anything to enjoy a lovely escape. The staff is friendly, willing to help with all your queries, food is a real asset for the place. I will definitely come back.

We had our company meeting at the hotel using the conference room and lunch packages. It was an ideal venue for a team get-together as the setting was bright, incredibly smart, creative and welcoming. There were plenty of opportunities for team photos. The projector and note pads all ideal for our working meeting. The staff are all very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend for any business meetings/ team meet up.

Fantastic family hotel in a stunning location. Every detail appears to have been considered when it comes to staying here with young children, so it felt truly effortless- from an array of baby accessories for your room, to healthy children’s meals with bibs etc provided, to beach toys, a children’s library and of course, the complimentary childcare at the playroom. The hotel equally feels luxurious and an oasis of calm for adults- we really enjoyed being able to unwind and dine downstairs in the evenings with the well set up baby monitors allowing us to feel like we were having an adult’s only holiday (at least some of the time!). The hotel’s views are breathtaking and there is plenty to do in walking distance (including a small beach - Readymoney Cove) which meant we didn’t need the car at all for the few days there. The only downside is there is still fairly extensive renovations ongoing which limits some of the facilities available.

I booked a table here to celebrate my daughters graduation... bad idea! The service was, at best, confused and unorganised. The food, when it arrived, wasn't special in any way. A deflated end to a special day.

What a lovely place this is. Was blown away when we turned up. Didn’t know anything about the place , found it on the internet and was glad I chose it. The food was excellent. Recommend for sure

Fawlty Fowey Towers, Memories are NOT made of this!!! NO GROCKLES. AVOID. Awful experience here two weeks ago, having to cajole an external hotel inspector to address our problems one evening concerning the dreadful dinner service. Having received a stay through Buyagift, Fowey Hall was a bitter disappointment for our first ever trip to Cornwall. We met other guests who complained about the bored, clueless and vacant attitudes of the young waitresses who lack any engagement or motivation. They seem to resent dealing with 'grockles'. The assistant manager Stephanie ( who seemed more concerned about her fashion style than guests expectations ), unconvincingly stated the problem was being addressed. In contrast the more experienced staff were more engaging. There were errors on the checkout bill that were slow to be resolved. We left without goodbyes, the staff are over familiar, wear rictus grins, spout faux pleasantries, and exude genuine indifference these being the memories we took away.

Beautiful hotel with amazing views. I enjoyed my stay, the rooms are recently refurbished and the bed was really comfortable. The food was excellent and so was the service, I especially liked the crab logo in the balsamic vinegar and oil dip. Good selection of food and drinks. Really helpful, friendly, polite and professional staff, they really are top notch. I look forward to being able to visit again!

Really nice location, first night was so disappointing at the restaurant in terms of the service provided. For how much they charge per room they should make sure their staff deliver top notch customer experience. Which was not my experience. So really, supper bitter taste

We originally was meant to book for New Park Manor in the New Forest where we live. Not sure how but when booking it took us to Fowey Hall Hotel. We didn’t realise this until the morning of the spa day. Not wanting to miss out on the spa day with drove 4hrs to Cornwall and decided to make a night of it. Unfortunately though when we got changed and walked pool side we was highly disappointed to find out there are NO SPA FACILITIES. It’s just a indoor pool and treatment rooms. No hot tub, steam room or sauna. Not sure how you can advertise it as a spa day with none of this facilities being offered. It’s just a pool with treatments. Comparing this to your sister hotel in New Forest which has everything mentioned for the same price you can see why we was disappointed. On a positive note though the food was amazing and Sophie in Spa was brilliant and improved the experience.

Incredible stay. Facilities and team are amazing. Food is tasty but pricy. Fowey is very nice. Will certainly be back next time we are in Cornwall.

Loved the room, position and general ambience. Disappointed a bit with food choices and breakfast was very slow, but the oysters and mussels available 12 til 5 were excellent!
