Great hotel, very friendly and central in the town. Very modern, clean, comfy and extremely high quality food and restaurant/lounge service. The team even helped post an item I'd left there! Parking is a bit of a walk away but well worth it.

Had a meal here. The starter of cured trout, mains of pork loin and the steak were very nice. New potatoes were more like salad potatoes than new and a bit on the dry side. Overall a very n9ice meal.

Really good size room overlooking the Harbour. Nice location in the heart of the town. Parking is a good 10 minute walk away so not ideal however there is a public car park just next door and you can park overnight for free from 6pm-9am - worked well for us. Great breakfast, friendly staff. Visited the restaurant for an evening meal, featured on the Michelin Guide - great food, lovely presentation. Would return.

Nice little hotel, rooms good clean and tidy. Food good quality, menu is a bit limited if you stop more than three nights Unloading and parking due to very narrow streets in Fowey is a bit of a Hassel we were out of season

Exceptional ! From the email communication , the warm welcome to the advice on departure , this hotel was perfect . We had room 12 which was beautifully appointed with stunning views over the river. Dinner was excellent as was the breakfast . Normally reviews have a “but” , absolutely none - would highly recommend this hotel , just be mindful of access and parking in season - the hotel will advise though .

I never want to leave!! We booked a 2 night stay in a Deluxe Room with View for a mini honeymoon and it could not have been more perfect. The room is so comfortable with a massive bed, and our room (12) had an absolutely stunning view across the harbour. The shower is incredible with lovely crisp towels and robes ready for you. The hotel staff are welcoming and kind, willing to help out with anything at all. They really make an extra effort to make your stay enjoyable and comfortable. The hotel itself is right in the heart of Fowey which is such a calm and laid back town, and has a great bakery just across the way. Dinner and Breakfast is also fantastic, lovely local food with the same wonderful staff. I honestly can't recommend Old Quay House enough, I can't wait to visit again!

We did not stay but went for Sunday lunch. On arrival we used the toilets only to find there was nothing to dry our hands on. The waitress said they were waiting for a delivery of paper and towels. No temporary measure, like a box of tissues or hand towel, was provided. We dried hands by waving them around. The waitress’s attitude was arrogant and condescending throughout our time there. At the end of each of the two courses, we were asked “Are you done?” Not the terminology one would expect from an establishment that calls itself a ‘Boutique Hotel and Restaurant’. There were no condiments on the table and none were provided when the meal was served. We had to ask for salt and pepper for example. The table of four next to us had roast beef. Again nothing was provided for them in the way of condiments. They asked for horse radish sauce to go with their beef and were told by the waitress that the hotel had none. We too had the roast beef and I have to say that other than the beef the rest of the meal was ordinary and the dessert, sticky toffee pudding, was dry with little toffee sauce. Altogether, a disappointing meal and experience for £100 plus. I have had better meals for half the price.

Wonderful hotel on the banks of the River Fowey. Room was extremely comfortable with a view of the river. Stairs led down to the en-suite bathroom. Service and food in the restaurant was fantastic. Staff were extremely welcoming and the food cooked beautifully. We ate dinner in the restaurant on our first night. The pork cheek was incredible! Cooked to perfection as it fell apart to the touch. Great wine menu too. Breakfast was equally delicious with everything you could want cooked perfectly. A perfect stay in the centre of Fowey. Only downside is the walk to the car park, but once done you can forget about the car for a while and just enjoy everything that beautiful Fowey has to offer.
