We trekked over to Yellow Springs specifically to try Mazu. I had high hopes and they delivered. The food was exquisite. The experience was intimate (loved the bar seating). My wife, seven year old daughter, and I enjoyed all the dishes. We’re already thinking about our next trip. Thank you for the great food!

The atmosphere of this place is fairly typical of Yellow Springs. Which is a very good thing. The food was utterly delicious, and not a single thing served in their menu involves cruelty to animals. I do think it would be cool to have more animal rights messaging inside (just like with all the other posters advocating for very worthy movements). Also the menu says that the chaat has pomegranate but we didn't see any. No matter, it still tasted great. Maybe somebody the hours expand to normal restaurant hours once they get popular enough. Also we didn't see a place to leave a tip at the register so we left one at the table. I will be back for sure.

We had a great lunch there! I had the steamed bun and hummus and falafel platter and it was delicious! Food was up super quick too. Would recommend and go again!

Fresh delicious vegan food you didn’t know you needed! This was our first of hopefully many visits so we wanted to try a few different dishes. Mazu did not disappoint! The staff was very friendly and the food was out of this world. You don’t want to miss out.

As a vegan, it's nice to go somewhere that I don't have to ask what I can eat because everything here is vegan! Even the mango lassi! The food is delicious, the staff are friendly, everything is clean, and the place is adorable. There's indoor and outdoor seating plus a bar that overlooks the kitchen so you can watch as your food is made. My only criticism is that I wish they were open later so I could eat here more often lol.

Absolutely amazing food. It’s so great to finally have a fully vegan restaurant in the area, but bonus points that the food is so good.

What a fantastic, amazingly delicious new place. The food is so good that you’ll want to order one of everything ever time you go. The mushrooms are cooked in such a way that you’d never know they were mushrooms! Every item I’ve had here is above and beyond and tastes like something that supernaturally satiated my taste buds. The crew is fantastic, friendly and goes above and beyond. We are so happy they are in our little village and hopefully got a long time to come!

This is my new favorite restaurant. Friendly staff, cute place, amazing creative food and flavors. I cannot wait until they expand their hours. This is worth the trip to Yellow Springs.

What a lovely first meal at MAZU! Staff were friendly, space is bright and open, and everything we ate/drank was yummy. Wish we lived here as we would be regulars!

This was my first visit and the place smelled amazing the moment we walked in! This restaurant offers a small and cozy environment. The tables were clean and ready for seating when we walked in. The silverware is at the table for you to choose from including chopsticks. The menu is limited and our group got a variety of dishes to try and share. Everything we had was delicious. It's great to have another vegan option in the area!

Lovely chats with the staff and folks hanging out. Ordered nearly the whole menu, took maybe 15 minutes for dishes to start coming out. Ive been gone for an hour and I already want to come back. The fried mushrooms in particular sent me high. Cant wait to see Mazu again. Easily one of the best vegan spots in the area.

We went for lunch during their soft-opening. Quick service and stellar flavors. We went with a vegan, gluten free friend and they were able to find plenty of options on the menu. Bring your own containers for takeout!

Kumar, Matan and Angie have transformed this space! I love the open kitchen and eating at the bar! If you sit on the patio they’ll hand food out to you through the window! I’m not vegan, but I’ve been 5 times since they opened! I’ve been able to try everything on their delicious menu, and my favorite things are the dandan noodles, the falafel plate, and the gua bao! Order and pay at the register when you come in, and find a table, your name will be called when your food is ready. There isn’t an option to add a tip. There’s self-serve water at the back of the store, and DO NOT SKIP THE MANGO LASSI! You will not regret eating here!

The food was fantastic - we tried about 4 things and all of them were great. The hummus and falafel platter was delicious, and the Dan Dan noodles were so good we ordered another one. The sauces with the scallion pancake are delicious and every single ingredient is fresh and bright. The space is warm and clean, and thoughtfully laid out. There is plenty of outdoor seating, and a good amount of indoor seating as well as a kids table. The attention to detail from the food to the space itself is impressive. The Mazu Eats is not to be missed.
