Super interesting collection with related information displayed well but it feels a little bit tired and could do with a bit of a refresh and tidy up (high number of power boards and exposed cables running throughout). So much potential given the wide array of items they have amassed and the related history. Friendly staff and reasonable admission price.

What an awesome experience, definitely worth a visit. Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted unless it's a service dog. The displays, videos, flight simulators, kinetic sand pit, and information are fantastic. Who knew that little Carnarvon was so important to the 1969 moon mission and more. We spent about 3 hours there and loved every minute. They also have a little souvenir shop at the entry and a free self-serve coffee/tea station.

Such a great experience for the whole family. A wide selection of exhibits, videos and quality merchandise. New things to see each time we come. Great to see the thought and care and preserving the history of not just the equipment from the space race, but how the town, state and country made such an impact on civilizations technological advancement during this time.

Very interesting place. Tells and shows about the space ships, astronauts, and the workings of the trackers here in Australia, working with the Americans. Has fun things to do also for kids and adults.

Fantastic experience for the space enthusiast and the family. The volunteers do a great job and are passionate about the centre. It will be interesting to see the changes now Canada has purchased and refurbishing the dish (after many years of neglect). You can spend 4 or 5 hours here without any problem.

Visited January 2024. Wonderful staff helpful with explanations. The exhibits that are interactive are good. You can even try your skill at landing a space shuttle. Lots of interesting artefacts including apiece of moon rock. Many donated items from ex-employees and some “acquired” item. NASA could not have achieved its ambitions without a facility such as these. Well done to preserve this with so many items and pieces of original equipment. Even the astronauts thought how important the place was and some visited.

Don't let the entrance put you off, Carnarvon Space and Technology Museum is amazing. Plenty of interactive displays for the whole family, the Apollo launch simulation, the Space Shuttle landing simulation and the Space Arcade games were particular hits. (We also loved our pats with Buzz the Space Cat). Our warmest thanks to the Volunteers who truly made the experience.

Who would of thought Carnarvan played a part in space travel.... This museum has heaps of information, interactive displays and examples of past technology associated with space travel. Very informative, cheerful staff and reasonably priced for families. Definitely worth a visit.

Don't miss this! So much fun and really interesting. Gift shop is very well priced compared to similar venue's. Make sure you do the rocket launch and moon photo 👌 Free parking and restrooms on site. Great view and lots to look at.

Volunteer-run museum on the unsung history of Carnavon in the NASA launches of the Apollo program. Surprisingly informative and entertaining with scale models of the command and lunar module, though somewhat rough around the edges. If you have a science interest then this is strongly recommended to visit.

A true gem. A really fun experience for kids and adults (especially if you grew up with video games like Space Invaders). Many installations and artifacts from the time of operation

Absolutely fantastic place to visit. Lots to see! See some history of space travel and the part Canarvon played. Plenty for kids to do as well (in stage 3). Keep your eyes open for the cat at the entry! We spent an hour and a half here.

This was an incredibly good value stop in so many ways. I've been to a lot of country museums/collections/galleries etc, and always grit my teeth when I pay entry fees knowing they never offer the same value for money as a bigger city based site...boy was I wrong here. WELL worth the entry fee. My 8yo son is like every little boy his age - he never figured out how to look with his eyes instead of his hands. To my utter astoundment, all of the genuine historically significant equipment is layed out at kid height, in kid reach, with no barriers, and the staff are 100% happy for kids to play with it - a refreshing change from places that like to put everything in range of kids and then get angry at them for wanting to touch! When we walked in they staff could see my son was torn between exploring and waiting for the launch simulator, so they gave us a cafe buzzer and told us to explore and they would just buzz us when our turn was up instead of waiting in line bored. So much to see there, a rare gem that was absolutely worth the entry fee!

A great little museum on our way up north. We stopped in unplanned and had a great time. Staff were really friendly and made us feel welcome. This place has so much great stuff to see which we found fascinating. We had never heard of this place and we’re driving by and saw it by chance. It’s a shame it’s not advertised better or more well known to people out of town.

Pretty cool place that can bring out your inner nerd"...well it brought mine out!!, The family liked it and now we've look like big bang theory fan's thanks to the persuasive lady at the gift shop 😂😂😂

Well setup and explained with friendly staff. I learnt a lot about Carnarvon's involvement as a tracking station in the early space programs. The video on the new Artemis mission to the moon was interesting. The simulator for take off was also very good but had to wait a while. They give you a meal service buzzer for when it's your turn but ours went flat and we had to check in with the guy a bit to work out when it was our turn. Some good interactive exhibits. It would be great to see more of this, it was fun. I especially liked the superimposed picture on the moon. One section not in the main air-conditioned area was stifling though and you could only stand to be in there about 30 seconds. Worth a visit, even if you are not a space nerd like me.

Hands down beats parkes nsw! Full of information, interactive displays, vague for money. Spent 2 hours there, easily could have done 3 or 4 hours.
