(Translated by Google) This bridge is very well thought out, connecting the mountains to the mountains, avoiding going around it, with the help of an elevator, it connects to one of the highest parts of the city. Incredible views not to be missed. "The city of Covilhã has ancient streets that will lead you to stunning places! But you will also find surprising places, such as the Pedestrian Bridge over Ribeira da Carpinteira, which received a design award, designed by the prestigious architect Carrilho da Graça. Travel + Leisure magazine classified this bridge as one of the most interesting design sites in the world! The impressive pedestrian bridge, designed by the minimalist architect João Luís Carrilho da Graça, forms a zigzag path high above the valley of the Ribeira da Carpinteira. Portugal."

(Translated by Google) It is mandatory to cross this bridge. If they are working, unfortunately they are often out of use, either due to the pandemic state that is going through them, or due to vandalism, but if you can, take the elevators in Jardim de São Francisco, go down almost to the entrance to the bridge. Admire the old manufacturing area that nestles on the two banks of the Ribeira, or look further afield and see the beautiful bridge that precedes the CP Covilhã Station or spread out over the vast mountain ranges of Santo Antão and Sortelha. Go around the Municipal Swimming Pool and enter the old Bairro Operário dos Penedos Altos. There is a lot to see and places to rest. Have a good trip. Bom passeio.

Nice and clever viaduct. Shame the lift didn’t work and wasn’t available. Great views.

Welcome to Portugal, where each public place working with a bit of electricity is out of use. Worst experience to go all the way to Covilha and find none of the famous elevators or such not working. European tax money well spent again

The views from this bridge are amazing and will give some very good photos to remember or even use as wallpaper. It's clean, modern and awarded design adds to the progressively more extended network of accessibility in this city. The contrast with the old buildings that make the history of this (once) industrial city is very well achieved.
