Está situada sob convento de Aracaeli, hoje local da Pousada Afonso II, e foi uma agradável surpresa a visita a este interessante espaço museológico. No mesmo espaço, percorremos 2500 anos de história, pois o conjunto de ruínas permite um estudo das várias épocas que ali se sobrepõem, desde o séc. VII a. C. até ao séc. XIX. Em exposição podemos admirar achados arqueológicos representativos de várias épocas cronológicas. Merece uma visita detalhada, tal a riqueza histórica aqui presente.

The entry price for the cripta (3,40 euros) is not worth paying the price. Its price should be 1 euro or even less. Also, they only accept Portuguese credit cards or alternatively cash. You can visit the Pousada and its defensive walls for free on mondays

Roman remains and artefacts expertly displayed. Charming young man helped bring it all alive.

Was not expecting the amount of information I got from this museum. Very enlightening about the thousands of years of History regarding this, seemingly unimportant, little town. Worth visiting.
