We did the nature boat trip to ilha deserta and paid 30 Euro. Definitely worth it! The guides were really friendly and told us everything about the animals we saw on the way. They were even able to translate the name of every animal in different languages, also in German. They showed us how to fish for claims and also the different types one finds in Faro. The nature was beautiful and we enjoyed the time on the boat and also on ilha deserta. The trip on the speed boat on the way back was also very exciting. Great trip!

Extreme disappointment. The last boat from Farol simply did not show up; forcing us to spend the night on the island. When confronted they were bitterly rude, offered no apologies or compensation. Solution: just take the direct ferries as the locals do.

(Translated by Google) We took it to go to Desert Island and the truth is that it was a success. Much better from this company in the port of Faro than from Olhao. Here they charged us €10/person to go by boat and €5 person to return by ferry because we wanted to try both types of transport. It takes 15 minutes by boat and 45 minutes by ferry. Very nice and very good service. Super recommended.

We did the Eco Tour and were overall very pleased with the guide, a knowledgeable young man with a biology background, which was an advantage for spotting birds. That part of the tour was 5 star worthy. HOWEVER, the crew on land gets 2 stars. We received a standard email upon booking where it was stated where we could park and where the meeting point was. The day of our tour, the appointed parking lot was closed due to a city festival and a lot of streets were closed because of the same reason. This is something I expect a service provider to know and tell you maybe a day before. I tried calling the office that we would be late and when we finally got to the pier, our tour was already gone, unfortunately. The guy at the pier was unhelpful as h€&€-+ and if it wasn't for the tour guide and the super kind three ladies that agree to return to pick us up, we would have missed our tour. Not the best start to what was otherwise a beautiful half day trip to Isla Desserta.

Referring to ferry service to Ilha Deserta: The trip is very nice but the ferry could be better due to this covid-19 times... The distance between us and others were 40 cm, not the 2 meters recommend. It could be a five stars service in normal times, but to tell you the truth I didn't fell safe, it looked that the seats weren't desinfected and it was kind of crowded with no one to organize or check the distance between people.

They promise a hop-on-hop-off service. However, the boats only sail once every 1-2 hours. So not really hop-on-hop-off service. Furthermore, the sailer told us he would pick us up 5pm at Culatra. He did not show up. After we called the company they said we were wrong. After another call they finally send an extra boat.

We only had the snack bar food and drink but it's relaxed and perfectly positioned.

Eco-tour met Thomas Cruz gedaan. Ongelooflijk!

We really enjoyed the Hop-on-Hop-off! Thanks for the team: always caring, safety first and super friendly! We recommend staying two slots at Deserta and doing the round walking tour and ending with oysters or coffee at the bar. The beach is wonderful! As we came off-season Farol was deserted (its rather a holiday park) but Culatra -the fisherman village- was an excellent experience again. We had fish and seafood at O Rui and LOVED IT! We left in the morning with the first boat and came back with the last 🙂
