Amazing place! We stayed here while in our honeymoon and the owner was really nice and upgraded our room to a very nice suite! The entire place look awesome and it is very cosy and extremely clean! We had a great breakfast while listening to a nice and relaxing music! The owner did a great job with his place and I would totally recommend it to anyone. If you have a car and you want to visit Sintra and the great beaches near by this is definitely the place to stay!

WOW great room, excellent value for money, great breakfast. You can really feel the atmosphere. The owner is charming, willing to help, upgraded us free of charge. The hotel is totally referbished. The owner really designed it with a LOT OF LOVE, and attention even to the tiniest details!!!! Only thing missing are trash cans in the dining room. Pls notice its about 10..15 minutes from Sintra old center by car, but a really good location for a "star" trip

Excellent host, beautiful room, breakfast is great. Too bad I only stayed for a night. The house is well renovated, stately. Good bathroom and amenities but water pressure is low. Bed is smaller but soft and comfortable. Go to the Library/TV room and have a glass of port or moscatel wine.

I agree with the prior reviews, this place is special. An exquisitely furnished architectural marvel. (My room had an authentic Eames chair in it, and several other precious antique pieces.) I arrived in the evening, and was offered some tea and cake. The place has history, and is located in a village surrounded by nature, ideal for hiking. The breakfast was wonderful. The owners clearly focus on hospitality, and want to make you feel welcome and relaxed. If I am visiting Portugal again, I will come back and stay a few days there. The atmosphere is healing.

Everything was lovely! You can feel the host wants you to have the most lovely stay. Very flexible, helpful, great breakfast with homemade pastries, don't hesitate to ask for eggs and other special requests. Really really welcoming... The rooms are very comfy and full of charms, it is a beautiful place with lots of little details. Very clean too. Well located in easy driving distance from Sintra and the main castles, and a quick drive from beautiful beaches.

Luis puts his heart and soul in his hotel and the experience he gives to his guests is just amazing! From the welcome through the entire stay to the good bye. There is so much beauty in this place and attention to details that creates such a unique guests experience and a feel good factor. Breakfast was outstanding and we couldn’t really ask for more. The whole experience much exceeded our expectations and we are so pleased with the hotel choice we made. I highly recommend staying here! I will definitely stay here again when back in the area. One of the best places I have ever stayed at!

My husband and I stayed at Vila Vitorino for 3 nights. It is one of the most luxurious properties I’ve seen. Decadence doesn’t even begin to describe the decor and ambiance. Luis and Daniel are so charming, they make you feel like you are at home and part of the family. Breakfast and dinner was phenomenal, Luis is a true gastronomical genuis. We would give 10 stars if we could. We will definitely be back!

Appalling customer service ! I talked with Luis over the phone to organise my partner’s 70th birthday and stay 4 nights. I was told we would be able to choose between two rooms on arrival. Two days later I received an email saying that my dates were no longer available ! I was in total shock and phoned Luis who just said that the rooms had been booked over Booking.com…, he had not blocked any room while waiting for my payment… and as a bonus I was insulted on the phone ! 4-star hotel service ???

We came here for vacation and it was probably the best hotel of the entire vacation. Our room was amazing and the owner was very nice. You feel very safe because of the fence that goes around the entire property. The parking lot is gated and you are given a remote upon your arrival to open it. The breakfast in the morning is amazing. I can’t remember the names of half the foods there’s so much. There’s even a dog there that comes with the owner that’s really friendly and small. It has a pool but we went when it was cold so we weren’t able to go in it. The only gripe that I would have with the entire experience is that the parking lot is very hard to navigate if there is more than one car in it. Definitely going to be a major challenge if you have any sort of SUV or long sedan. It’s a short drive to the town of Sintra.

The B&B was beautiful but the customer service was awful. The owner was very rude to us. I had taken a pastry to go for my little sister since she was feeling sick when breakfast was being served and was asked to put it back, he acknowledged that she was sick but didn’t care. Additionally, there several flies in the bedroom there were also flies on the food during breakfast. ***Update 6/11/23: The owner emailed me threatening me to take my original post down (see screenshots below). Please consider that other negative reviews may have been deleted as well. In response to the owner’s comment below: we did in fact pay the additional fee for the extra person and we certainly don’t appreciate the insinuation that we as Indians are greedy, steal food, and bring flies wherever we go. This place was beautiful, but I am sad that we had this experience, both there and after the fact.

ADORE THIS PLACE! From the moment you walk in through the gate, you can tell this property has been painstakingly renovated, to the most beautiful of standards. Everywhere you look is a perfectly curated piece of art, furniture, lighting, soft furnishing or quirky ornament. The garden and pool area are beautiful and very well maintained. I really enjoyed having a pot of tea and cake out there. The bedding is wonderful quality and I had great sleep. Breakfast was a lovely continental. The location suited me perfectly. There's parking if you're driving, but I was using the bus to get around and the bus stop is right outside! I took the 1253 bus to Cabo De Roca and it drives right past Chalet Vitorino. I used Bolt to get to/from Sintra in the evenings and it cost about €7 each way but I could have got the bus. Highly recommend Vitorino's place! Side note - I recommend having some cash for toilets, buses and some restaurants when you're travelling around Sintra and Lisbon!

From the moment I stepped into this exquisite hotel, I was wrapped in an embrace of elegance and warmth. Nestled in the picturesque town of Colares Sintra, the hotel exudes a charm that is both timeless and inviting. The interiors are a perfect blend of traditional and modern aesthetics, with rooms that boast of cleanliness, comfort, and tranquility. What truly set my stay apart was the gracious hospitality of the owner, Mr. Vitorino. Engaging in conversations with him was a highlight of my stay, giving me insights into the rich history and culture of the place. Every member of the staff mirrored his kindness and friendliness, ensuring that my stay was nothing short of perfect. The serene ambiance of the hotel provided the much-needed respite from the hustle and bustle, making it an ideal getaway. If you’re looking for a place in Portugal where you can enjoy both luxury and genuine warmth, this hotel in Colares Sintra is the place to be. Highly recommended!
