Amazing place! Super relaxed and calm! We really enjoyed our stay with Jasper and his super friendly team! The breakfast was very good! Granola, Fruits, Croissant, homemade bread..They even offered eggs (whatever style you want), pancakes or avocado toast! We had dinner one night - highly recommended!! The best food we had in Ericeira! Jasper is putting a lot of love and knowledge in his cooking! We loved it!

Hidden gem! If you’re looking for a calm, modern and beautiful spot on the beach, you will love this place. The villa Valbom consists of 2 houses, the new and modern one has serval unique apartments and the breakfast and dinner area in the middle. It feels like a living room, with an open kitchen. The second house is the older one and has its own pool. The breakfast is served in the “living room” and you get as much as you like. Fruit, yoghurt, eggs, Marmelade, guacamole ... you’ll have something new each day. Coffee is self service and you can take as much as you like. The outside area is the best thing, there is the big pool with view and a small one. The garden was designed in a way that you feel at home right away. The rooms (we were lucky and the owner showed us all of them) are individual gems. Each and every room is beautiful and has something Special. You can walk to one of the two close beaches with run 15-20min. It’s really nice not using the car. The beaches weren’t crowded at all. We were lucky and Jasper was cooking on one night. So we ordered food and had a nice and private dinner. The next big supermarket is in Ericeira. You can rent bikes, if you sit have a car. Overall, we will come back.

We have been to Villa Valbom several times and love the place. The rooms are quiet and the beds are big and comfortable. We always have a very restful time, with great food (breakfast and dinner when Jasper cooks) and a lovely atmosphere. From the villa you can walk directly into nature to the beach and up the hills. Thanks, we will be back!

What a relaxing place this is, Jasper the owner-manager is very welcoming and very relaxed. He is also the great chef and cooks dinner in the evenings and any requests are welcome. Breakfast is large and varied and again asking for something the way you like it is no trouble. The gardens are great. We tried yoga with Sonia and it was brilliant, it was my first time and my wife has been doing it for years and yet it was great for both of us.It's a bit a way from the town but a nice 30min trek or 10 min taxi will get you there.I'm looking forward to going back.

Beautiful property and facilities with fantastic breakfast and dinner. The Villa is located close to Foz do Lisandro and SĂŁo JuliĂŁo Beach. 15 Minute drive to Ericeira town. Thanks Japser and Team for the nice stay at Villa Valbom! We had a wonderful time and will hopefully be back soon!

Deceiving experience regarding the announced “sea view”. Very expensive taking into account quality of service, location and lack of sufficient heating. The suites are big but not always functional (having to go outdoors to reach the living room, for example). Internet access codes didn’t work on the first suite. Beds with very hard mattresses. Water leaking under the lavatory within the bedroom. Very nice breakfast. The villa is recent and the high prices are an attempt to make it look like an high grade hotel. It is not. It’s just a bunch of suites built on the valley in the middle of a very small remote village with an almost improvised access by road.

After several days on business trip in Lisbon we decided to head to a hotel with good reviews and a sea view. Upon arrival at Villa Valbom we were greeted by Floor who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We were given a brief tour if the hotel and grounds and Flora helped us to book our taxi for our early departure. We popped over to the restaurant to check out the service times and menu and met the owner Jasper who laughed with us when we let him know that we would be back for food after a swim. There had been no sun for three days and it was raining, but I do love a swim. The hotel is set halfway up a valley from the beach and in May when we were guests was set in beautifully landscaped grounds in the most serene setting with great sea views down the valley (not horizon to horizon for those who believe that is a sea view, just a beautiful sea view). The larger pool was clean and fresh and the smaller pool was well maintained but more for chilling out in which would have been the case as there had been no sun for three days and it was 7.30pm at night when i tested it, it's a shame the weather wasn't fine as I feel that I would have spent a lot of time in the garden and pools. We stayed in the king suite with ocean views, the hotel and rooms are especially clean with great beds and the water in the bathroom had great pressure and temperature with a fantastic rain shower. The food at Villa Valbom was exceptional, there was no menu in the restaurant, however Jasper took the time to describe in detail the food for the day, explaining that as a small restaurant catering for hotel guests he liked to keep the menu fresh and dependent on local produce. The options for starters were seared tuna with avocado and greens finished with truffle oil, tomatoes and a local cottage cheese with fresh basil and a salad (which my friends and I didn't eat). I can honestly say that I have never had better fresh seared tuna before this and it set a new benchmark for taste and freshness for me, it was simply divine. I also tried the tomato salad and this too was exceptional with the produce coming from the garden of a local gardener. No tomatoes produced for retail could ever stand up to the rich flavour of home grown fruit. For main course I choose fresh cod, diced and marinated in saffron, lemon and olive oil served on a bed risotto with a side of greens consisting of tenderstem broccoli, green and orange carrots and asparagus. After the starter it is not surprising to say that the main course was sublime. My business partner chose rib eye steak with sweet potatoes dressed in creme fraiche and mango chutney, their review of this was "it was ace". For dessert we shared a goat's cheese cheese cake dressed in a guava and a stout and chocolate cake with seasoned whipped creme, both of which were light and lovely and managed to fit in on to of our generously portioned beautiful previous courses in just the right way. All in all I think the food wad probably the highlight of our stay, which was not planned. I cannot recommend the restaurant here enough! It turns out that Jasper had previously been a chef on super yachts and to be honest it shows. All in all I could not fault Villa Valbom on any point and look forward to returning again with more time to relax and enjoy myself in this beautiful little nook of the universe.
