    Attention, be careful, it is possible that you buy a defective return device as NEW and install it and then need a lot of time, money and patience! The Story: On Monday morning we bought an 80 liter electric water heater because the brand name boiler advertised on the internet - as is unfortunately common - was not in stock. We bought a sale (unfortunately). After the long transport and long assembly with connections and power, we wanted to turn on the power, but the display stayed black!! Huge frustration everything was professionally connected! We made a call and after a long wait and round-trips we said the problem and softr the connection was lost, we again and said a mechanic should come and take a look but we were told we have to go back to the branch and fill out the form and then wait up to 5 days for a Fitter shows up!! For a newly purchased device, we were then told that we have no guarantee anyway because it wasn't installed by your specialists, so money gone and device broken..... But we didn't let that sit on us and dismantled the water heater again and again drive to the store, where we had to wait an hour and a half until someone was available. We showed the device and said that not everything was in the original packaging anyway and we were told that a defective device that had been brought back was probably being put on sale again, I don't know why hopefully not with the thought that you'll find a stupid person to buy it and the following circumstances are too difficult......shame on you if this is so!! Now we took - forced masses - the (hopefully) new replacement device was received because we no longer had the original packaging / it was torn, they didn't want to give us the money back, we transported it home but didn't install it until the next day, and after reinstalling it, plugged in the power and it ran (thank God) What annoyed us the most was not the lost day, but the derogatory, indifferent treatment on the phone!

    Unfortunately, due to recent services, I have lowered my initial star rating from 4 to 1. I have had such bad service that zero would be my rating if that were an option. BEFORE YOU ORDER ONLINE, PLEASE READ: I made an order online worth over 1,000 euros last month. I paid 95 euros for the delivery. As I am overseas, I arranged contact to receive the order. After a 3-week wait, the order was due last Monday but was moved to Tuesday. They called my contact to say they would deliver on Tuesday afternoon. They did not. They later attempted to have it delivered on Wednesday. This time they sent a truck that was too large for the road. My delivery instructions actually stated that the road was narrow and NOT to send a big truck - exactly what they did! They said they would deliver Friday they did not. I have made more than four calls to Leroy Merlin asking for an update, and all they say is they need to speak to the store, and they will make a complaint. Their complaints department responds within 48 hours. I have not had any contact from their complaints department, and it's' now 3 days since I logged a complaint with them. Today, my contact was called and told the delivery would be before lunch. He has tried to call the delivery company, which I believe is called AlbuMov, but no one answers. I, myself, called Leroy Merlin today, and after complaining to one agent, they hung up on me (calling from overseas). The second agent I spoke to today could not tell me what was happening. This has been a never-ending circle. Finally, the delivery was made this afternoon - a week late, after multiple overseas calls and complaints, wasting my contacts time - this for 95 euros (and for an order worth 1000 euros). THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU ORDER ONLINE - IT IS NOT WORTH THE PRICE THEY CHARGE FOR TERRIBLE, NIGHTMARE DELIVERY SERVICES.

    Very busy but to be fair black Friday weekend. Wish the machines would have an English language option, would make selecting a service or paying so much less painful.

    The staff there have a lot of languages to contend with and are very patient with me, always helpful and friendly. There has almost always been stock of whatever I've gone in there for. All DIY projects catered for as far as I can see. Their returns system is convoluted and a tad annoying (return item in one location....then move to the checkout in another location with a credit note, could be simpler!

    Every thing you could possibly want and need under one roof, definitely recommend if you are changing interior or exterior. I would love to be starting from scratch again, every time I go there I want to change everything we already have.

    excellent, very easy to find exactly what we wanted... go regularly for our DIY projects... today we were shown round the air conditioning units by the young man called Rodrigo was was very professional and knowledgeable. Rodrigo asked all about what we needed and took time to show us the best products within our budget range .. Thankyou Rodrigo for your help

    A very good variety of household products, from a variety of tiles, bathroom accessories, kitchen layouts, bedroom wardrobes, doors, windows, garden equipments etc. So many choices.

    Went to Leroy Merlin in Portimao and Guia for a special type of builders ladder with various attachments. My first time in both stores. The Portimao one had lots furniture etc on sale outside at reduced prices. Guia one is huge depot but sadly the special ladder we were looking for had sold out. Staff all friendly and helpful and the range of stock is just brilliant.

    Went to Leroy Merlin on Sunday to try and get help for my pellet stove, as have rang them so many times and could not get any satisfaction via phone call. This is the second time in 4 years this appliance has fail on the burner, so knowing my fire and also have a manual to solve problems with these appliances I knew what was wrong with it also the computer on it tells you what the fault is. I have had no fire since the 26th December in the middle of winter and still have no fire. I was told by this person that they had no record of my complaint or asking for assistance. I have asked and requested assistance so many times bia Leroy Merlin but not even had confirmation. I will never buy anything again from that place. They are quick to take your money but aftercare is none when you have a problem. Sorry but they have lost a good customer and do not rate them at all.

    This branch and the company itself are literally the worst. At first they delivered faulty products to me, in this case rotten and mouldy wood. From this day on the horror with their customer service started. The callcenter in Lisbon has no authority over the store and nobody takes responsibility for anything. It took them days to even acknowledge their mistake and pick up the wood. Since then, they have not returned my money. Every time I call to the callcenter, they tell me they cannot help me. They are literally holding my money hostage and not returning it. I can only recommend everybody to stay away from this brand. As soon as you have the slightest problem, they will not do anything to help you. I am literally out of words that a company this big will try to scam you out of such a small amount.

    Everything you need is there for DIY, One problem is that they have removed some of the tills and replaced them with the so-called quick checkouts, half of which weren't working, and there were only 2 tills open. There were long queues and a lot of frustrated people. Get it sorted Leroy Merlin

    If buying tiles, double check their calculations as we would have paid an extra 500 euro on a 3k euro order. The computer system calculated the cost incorrectly. Fortunately we had worked out the cost before we got there. Simple equation No of square metres required X price per square metre gives the amount you should be paying.

    Jobs are important to the economy, so if your going to DIY then Leroy Merlin won't disappoint in supplies of materials and tool's the rest sadly is over to you . Good Luck with the job.

    Staff really helpful. Equivalent to UK's B&Q. Can shop online & collect in store. 100 day return policy. 4 stars due to lack of generators & the one we purchased was broken but their customer service is great.

    Everything you need to renovate and reburfish your property. Large car park and plenty of choice. The only big negative is that most of the staff do NOT speak english. If you don't know what you need then tough. Now a few of them do speak English. Nevertheless this store has everything to build extend refurbish any house and plenty of parking

    on October 2nd. Bought an auger and on October 6th. brought back because the throttle cable got stuck -> extremely dangerous! The device was sent in and then nothing happened for 5 weeks until I asked via email... the answer was very depressing. The device would be dirty due to lack of maintenance. The fault lies with the customer. It was only used for 3 days and looks like new. Cleaning/maintenance costs €132 for a device that cost €169. I am not satisfied with the service from Leroy Merlin and cannot recommend it.

    I had the worst customer service experience from this business. Firstly, our purchase of an outdoor table and 6 chairs took over an hour to process in their store. Then it was a lot of problems with delivery dates and installation dates. When the product arrived, one chair was damaged, which needed replacing. The scheduling of this replacement was also problematic. The delivery arrived with the delivery guy asking me to meet him halfway at another street, with me carrying the damaged chair for the exchange.. even though they had been told about the car/van size limits on our street. The replacement chair provided was more damaged than the original chair that was delivered. Finally, we have completed the transaction/ exchange as of yesterday, and all told it has taken 6 weeks to sort out a simple purchase of an outdoor table and 6 chairs. Six weeks!!! that is not great customer service, never mind all the stress and drama in between

    We have had the worst experience with Leroy Merlin. I placed a large order online. Within 12 hours we then get an email cancelling most of the items in our order due to these 'not being in stock' even though they show as being in stock online. 2 weeks later I am still waiting for a refund. We went to the store in Albufeira only to be told that as it was an online purchase they couldn't process the refund, it is impossible to get hold of anyone who will take responsibility and customer service don't even know how refunds for online purchases are processed. I can't believe such a large company do not have a transparent refund policy for online orders, they have basically stolen almost 500 euro.
