We agree with the other West Coast Americans that this is the best taco place in the Lisbon area, if not in all of Portugal. My test is Al Pastor. Here it is just a good as our favorite Mexican in Berkeley. We also tried the Carnitas, Carne Asada, and Frijoles - all good; started with the Guacamole and melted Queijo. Will repeat! Oh, how can I forget the great Margarita? NAVIGATION HINT: Google "says" you destination is on your left as you come up the hill on Estr. Portela under the overpass. Trust her! You will just see the foundation of the building since the road slopes down. Try to park on the first left where the street is level with the walkway to the shops. Sr Taco is at the end of the walkway.

So. This is the real mexican. Is a hidden gem. Julio, Carmen, Nacho… all amazing Mexicans cooking the real thing. Pastor tacos top! Chorizo taco top! All we taste has its flavor! They even have the agua de tamarindo and the jamaica agua… no more need to be said. Gucamole made at the time you order, real totopos with salsa… go and try it then tell me about it. Tha ks Julio!

After living in Los Angeles for 14 years, we were only homesick for good Mexican food and we finally found it. Homemade tortillas and delicious tacos and burritos. The veg and meat options are both really great and the staff is lovely. This place gets missed by the foodie blogs but I’m not sure why. Maybe because the location isn’t “cool”. But that’s one of the reasons we love it - parking is usually a breeze. It’s super convenient if you’re shopping in the area or heading back over the bridge after working / errands in Lisbon.

This restaurant is serving authentic Mexican food. The owners are very nice, welcoming, and appreciative. The food is fantastic, flavorful, and supremely delicious. Although it's a bit far from Lisbon city center, but it is very worth the drive/ride. I highly recommend it as I'm certain you would enjoy it.

I've been missing real Mexican food since moving to Portugal and I'm so glad to have found this place. Delicious food, fast and nice service, chill ambiance. Not one of the many "Mexican" restaurants which are a weird Portuguese interpretation of tex-mex. This place is legit.

Overall the place its great. The food have a good taste. The Burrito was the best of the menu. But we tried the tacos, nachos as well. All was great, doña Carmen, The cooker came and talked with us for a while. I will recommend the place 👍🏻. The prices was fair too

I’m mexican so please trust me when I say this is probably the best mexican restaurant in the area and definitely my favorite. This place has everything: delicious food that reminds me of home, super friendly service, best quality ingredients and reasonable prices. I come here quite often and I’m always received with a big smile. My personal recommendations: - Cazuela especial (starter) - Birria, carnitas and pastor (meat) - Rajas (vegetarian, tastes like my mom’s 🥹) - Tres leches cake (dessert) - Pacífico and Negra Modelo (beer) - Jamaica and Tamarindo water (soft drink) I'm so happy to have a little piece of Mexico near me. I keep coming and bringing my friends here to try REAL Mexican food. Thank you so much to the owners and congratulations for having such heartwarming place!

The reviews were good but the tacos were disappointing and the service as well. It's a very dried welcome and the tortilla was cold and meat warm but not hot. The meat preparation had little flavour.

This was an amazing find, thanks to Google. The restaurante is not very easy to locate as it’s technically on a second floor but it is surely worth the treasure hunt. The food is fresh, authentic and delicious. The service is super friendly and the taco tortillas are by far the best I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to take some friends there.

The food is delicious. I ordered a burrito without guacamole. It was perfect. But the price could be a bit lower for the menus. Still loved it tho!

One word Outstanding!!! What a find this Mexican restaurant is. After reading the reviews of others we had to give it a try. And wow ! Everything is freshly made from scratch whilst you wait longingly at your table. You can actually see your food being made too. The Tacos and nachos were super tasty we had a mix of 6 different ones as recommended by the owner. The Volcao was so good I ordered a second one !. All in all if you are in the area and you like genuine authentic food you have to give it a try.

This is the one and only authentic Mexican restaurant in Lisbon. All their tortillas are handmade. Amazing atmosphere, service and price point - El mero mero! And it’s only 10 min from Principe Real.
