Didn't
want
the
formality
of
restaurant
dining,
so
opted
for
lunch
in
the
lounge
bar.
The
setting
was
warm
and
comfortable,
if
you
don't
mind
horse
racing
on
the
big
screen
TV.
Service
was
good
and
the
menu
adequate.
I
opted
for
the
chicken
stack
with
a
side
of
skinny
fries
and
my
partner
the
10oz
sirloin
with
garlic
potatoes.
The
portions
were
excellent
and
the
food
was
of
a
good
quality.
My
partners
eyes
were
bigger
than
her
tummy
and
couldn't
finish
hers,
so
you'll
be
glad
to
hear
they
will
box
up
what
you
don't
eat
so
you
can
take
it
home.
I
soldiered
on
and
decided
on
dessert,
for
which
I
chose
lemon
cheesecake
with
ice
cream,
however,
the
waiter
was
distracted
and
I
got
fresh
cream
which
at
the
end
of
the
day
I
didn't
mind,
so
no
complaints,
and
it
was
beautiful
served
with
fresh
berries
and
honeycomb.
Together
with
a
large
glass
of
wine
for
the
lady
and
a
pint
of
coke
the
bill
came
to
a
little
over
£60.
Hadn't
been
here
in
years,
but
would
recommend
it
for
a
lazy
lunch
followed
by
a
few
bevvies
for
those
who
want
to
make
an
afternoon
of
it.
