Campsite next to a busy road on one side and the sea on the other. It was pretty quiet at night surprisingly, and great for dog walking on the beach. Clean and warm bathrooms with hot showers included. Laundry facilities, chemical and garbage dump. Next door to a cafe. Pass code given on booking for the gate and facilities. Hard standing with water and electricity. Easy access to Belfast City. Recommended

Nice little beach and park, with a nice cafe. We go here pretty often even though its sort of out of our way, it's great in the summer but in the winter it's nice to sit at the bench seats in the cafe or in the first row of carpark spaces and relax and watch the waves coming in with a coffee.

Lovely location. With a very nice walk along the seafront and a very nice cafe that sells delicious homemade food. An extensive children's play area and picnic benches. A great family area for all ages. K

It's one of the best places to have a nice family fun day and picnic. Nice coffee shop, nice playground, open area with lots of green and sea view. Totally recommended.

We stopped for a short break and a nice costa coffee shop in car park. Also noticed if your driving a camper there is a small camping park there, Public toilets also. And you can walk along the coast in either direction, and you can see Samson and Goliath in the distance. They are the Harland and wolff cranes in the shipyards.

Lovely spot. The play park is tidy and in good condition with a great variety of activities for small and big kids. Space and benches to have a picnic. There is a small Cafe which does lovely ice creams and coffees. The public toilets are always clean and tidy. Its a wonderful spot to stop and take in the sea whilst the children play. Great outdoor meeting place for the family or friends.

First time coming here and it's great! Decent wee park looking out on to the lough. Kids had a blast here. Some pieces in the park where broken or damaged which could do with being fixed, but still usable. Would recommend

Great spot for walks with good carpark including electric charge point, toilets and coffee shop. Play park with variety of swings for younger children. Can safely walk along shoreline towards Hazelbank and even on to Belfast (Duncrue Street).

Lovely open space for all to enjoy. The parking is free on the weekend - certainly was on Sunday. Lots of walks and a good cafe.

Overnight camper parking ideal although no other facilities apart from public toilets which are locked up overnight & a cafe. Good for a single night when getting on or off the ferry 😊

Lovely place for a walk. Seems to have plenty of parking and a nice cafe for coffee, cake, lunch or ice cream, staff were lovely too. Will definitely go back on our next visit.

We as a family like this place very much. Nice walk by the shore, playground, coffee shop. Shame the shore is not being cleaned a bit more as the amount of rubbish and seaweed makes it look less appealing. Also the (seems like a permanent) fun fair not necessary - we enjoyed the quiet and bit of green pitch to play ball much more.

Really great place to relax by the water. Three out of for seagulls enjoy hanging out here! Very nicely maintained. Highly recommended. Picnic tables available.

The park sits right on the lough, offering great views across to Holywood. You can get teas, coffees, snacks and ice-cream at the cafΓ© and there are toilet facilities. There is a large open green area on either side of the car park which is great for family outings and picnics. There is also outdoor gym equipment if you're feeling energetic! The area on the right of the car park has a well equipped playground for kids of all ages. Lovely place to relax and watch the world go by. You might even be fortunate enough to catch a brass band playing in the bandstand.

It's a good beach with a big car park. The park itself is good with plenty for the kids. The shop is great with a large selection of hot food, snacks, sweets and ice cream

Great place to bring the kids followed by some ice cream. For the adults there's a coffee shop and scenic views of Strangford Lough. Only negative is that the playground has been under repair for a while now and there too few swings for the 5+ kids.

Brilliant spot to stop off for a wee break with all the things you need Cafe, toilets and stunning views of Belfast Lough

As a dog owner and first time visitor, I wasn't impressed. As the tide goes out, the beach turns very muddy/boggy. The grassy area would be great but it runs alongside a busy dual carriage way without any hedges or fencing, so I didn't feel comfortable to give the dogs a run. The actual play park looked great for the kids.

Enjoy Northern Ireland’s natural wealth with a very peaceful walk by the sea. You will most probably need a rain coat, but it is just beautiful. Car park spaces are abundant. A short walk away from restaurants cafes and small town shops.
