Stopped by on a rainy day for lunch and was not disappointed. Warm and comfy with friendly service and potentially one of the best chicken schnitzels I've ever had! The steak was good too. I found the dressing on the side salad a bit too acidic, but not altogether unpleasant. I'll definitely be back if I'm holidaying in the area again.

First time visit Venus Bay. At first, I wasn’t expecting too much because I thought it would be like the normal tourist restaurant. I ordered gummy shark fillets and chips with salad, I thought it was overpriced but after my food arrived… WOW it was big, EXCELLENT flavour and most importantly they were FRESH. Service was fantastic, staff were very friendly and the restaurant has a relaxing country town vibe. Even diners are friendly as well. The experience was positive and it is definitely recommended. Thank you.

Food took a while to come out when they were packed on the weekend. But everything was very tasty when it arrived. Plus well priced bottles of local wine. Would definitely recommend 👌

So we’ve been going to The Cavity for a year since we came to Venus Bay. Beyond the excellent pizzas and parmas are an amazing array of Spanish inspired tapas and mains. Because they are keen to serve great food the menu fluctuates depending on the season and availability of quality seafood. This place is as good as any when it comes to these plates. Great drinks and amazing food. Just don’t tell too many people!

The food was delicious. We got oysters & pizza. Our drinks though were gross. The Midori sour had 8 ants in it & the margarita tasted like tequila & water The staff weren't very friendly.

We were staying at the caravan park and decided to go for a walk. We ended up back at Cavity, which serves cold beer and wine. So after a coldie, decided to try their food. Not a lot to choose from, but something for everyone on the menu. Well prepared, fresh tasty food, could not fault. (Not cheap, but generous serves of great food!). We will definitely be back later.... 👍👍👍👍👍

The cavity … more like the root canal. This place is painful. Staff (older lady with glasses) was a diva I think. Why seat 7 people on a crammed table and give paying customers attitude when you have to push through and blame them. And the burger…. That was more like a Dutch poffertje with meat inside.

Lovely restaurant, great food, friendly staff We were visiting Wilson Prom and stayed at the Venus Bay Caravan Park. One of our treats for our family was a visit to the Cavity Restaurant for dinner. However as we were at Wilson Prom for the day, we had to book the restaurant for 8pm as we were not sure if we could be back in time. Thanks to Linda who warned us that the seafood could be finished by then and she SMS'd us the menu so that we could pre-order. We ordered our food and as you can see from the photos attached, they were superb. The steaks were nicely done, the scallops were nice and fresh and the pizza was tasty. Servings were also big. Thanks to the friendly staff at Cavity and for the excellent service.

We came by for a late lunch based on other reviews and the pizzas were fantastic! Thin crust with generous, quality ingredients. Staff were so friendly too. Would come back for those pizzas! May have started eating before taking photos… :)

Wonderful food and friendly staff. Best place to eat between Inverloch to Venus Bay. Creative pizzas and hearty portions. The duck sourdough pizza with cherries, pomegranate and sherry vinegar was amazing.

The food is excellent…the staff are friendly…the beer and gin is localish…did I say the food is excellent…the Pizzas are a flava sensation. If you like Spanish inspired food, rent an AirBNB or a spot at the caravan park just so you can eat here. Don’t forget to buy a bag of jerky to eat with your beer or gin…the best jerky I’ve had the pleasure to eat.

Great friendly staff. Food was awesome, had the char-grilled calamari, it was beautifully cooked and presented, also had the mussels with horseradish, the flavours were fantastic! Well worth a visit!

Too expensive. The food was ok. Pizza was burnt and the salad was not good. Spent about 170 dollars but did not leave happy.

First visit, the setup make you feel a little confused, head on you can’t tell there is a side entrance door so I walked in the big door “stand here for table/pickup and pay over there etc. it just confused my brain and I felt like I was intruding on peoples space. But the staff are lovely and it feels very family orientated. The kitchen is great! My prawns were amazing and the kids pizza #11 were very tasty. Don’t sit inside under the tv (big opening) if you don’t want the smokers puff to come in. I would happily eat here again
