When I signed up I was told the downstairs toilet is permanently closed because patrons would not respect it and keep it clean and it was always filthy. So we have to go all the way upstairs to use the toilets, which is fine, but they’re also always dirty and rarely look like they’re cleaned regularly which basically contradicts their argument about cleanliness. However it seems ok for the staff to use the downstairs toilet as their own private ensuite. Further to that, it’s tiny. The machines feel like they’re on top of each other and when it’s busy you can barely train without touching the person next to you. The female members (not all) also ruin my experience here. Too busy trying to be “influencers” getting in the way of people who actually want to train, setting up their tripods and camera equipment. Or taking up a machine for up to 10 minutes at a time just sitting on it scrolling through their instagram feed. Please do us all a favour and go to Fernwood.

Reception staff are quite unhelpful. Never got shown around the facility or shown where the bathrooms were even when I asked on sign up. Equipment is dirty as. Top of the food fridges are covered in dust - set my asthma off. Lots of people on their phones filming and taking pictures. Feels like a "cool kids gym" Had a black bucket in the male toilets for nearly 2 weeks under one of the urinals catching urine. I was cut not once but two times on the same piece of equipment. No maintenance done after I told reception about the issue. Nail sticking out of the support beams you can catch yourself on. The bowtie speaker in the corner lets off an odd high pitch frequency which stuffs with my headphones and music - sounds as if it's coming off the train line. Had to turn them up to full which made for an uncomfortably loud workout. Could hardly hear my own music. Had a good laugh at how many accidents there were out the front of the facility to the round about and bus stop. Way too many blokes and chicks getting distracted at the members in tight gym clothes gawking and not looking at the road. Not nearly enough disinfectant or wipes. Quite dirty all up. Not worth the anxiety. Could hardly bring myself to get up and go in. Shouldn't be that uncomfortable. The slogan says "believe in yourself" it made me feel the opposite. Didn't look forward to going in and improving myself. Lot of weekenders in there made myself and wallet feel quite unsafe.

It’s just the area and general vibe, the machines are not as maintenanced as they could be & a lack of weighted plates. I would prefer derrimut to open a gym in Dandenong the areas better it’s technically Melbournes second capital it’s a gold mine, the size of the facility could be larger at the Frankston overall not impressed.

This gym has a great atmosphere with new equipment the staff are very friendly and always willing to help out where possible. The climate control is a bonus. It’s a big improvement compared to what it use to be. It’s always very clean with all equipment working as per OEM. A free drink bottle would be good but you can’t have everything.

It looks like a great gym but I'm living in Cobram I'd be better off joining there unless I shift down here

The success D247 has had with this is top class. Great equipment, great use of space, good shop front with great range and having Big Dave back in charge is perfect... kinda embarrassing to the old owner that place was left to run down when the potential is obviously there... and great to have a gym that now respects its members 👍👌

jonesy at the frankston gym with the tattoos on his head exceeded my standard of gym staff he is a fresh breath of air! I've been worried about going to a gym lately bc of the size i gained over lockdown but he was so helpful and encouraging i wish him luck with his fight coming up soon

Decent gym, good spot. Maxed out the space really well. Friendly staff. Mens bathroom taps need work though! The pressure is insane and makes me walk out of the bathroom like I wet myself.

Edit: Do NOT join this gym. Unless, of course, you want to be hassled for overdue fees, after you go in personally, to give 2 months notice to cancel the contract when it expires, and personally speak to staff/manager, who promise that the contract will be cancelled. This is a LIFELONG relationship, it seems. You have been warned! OP: 5 stars for friendly staff, great equipment and open 24/7. My only complaint is that the doof doof is sooo LOUD, that I have very few sessions when I don’t leave the gym with a splitting headache. I can assure you that I’m not the only one in the gym who’s not a fan of the ridiculously unnecessary high volume.

Really good gym, the equipment is good and the staff are always friendly. Also too it is finally good to go back to the gym since you couldn't last year because of covid restrictions and lockdowns. The only thing is, could you please play better music and songs and play the songs all the way through properly and not really loud? because I couldn't hear the lady behind the counter properly. 10/10 Gym. Here is the focus on training!

Never been to a gym but was surprised by the amazing customer service, I called them at 3am and was answered in less then 5 seconds, the guy I spoke to on Sunday morning answered all the questions to the best of his abilities and proceeded to tell me when the manager was getting in (6am) to speak to her about anything else, invited me to the gym which I proceeded to accept. When I arrived they greeted me super well, talked to me about the gym and even showed me around, the girl I then spoke to was very lovely and walked me through all of the options. since it was my first time in a gym showing me around was very nice and appreciated, by the interactions with other customers in there I could tell it would be good. Paid for a whole year because of the staff and the gym, everything was clean and the staff/people were amazing :) I don't know why but for some reason I think this got removed. It's showing in another review page but not this one. I promise its real.

It's like my second home. I feel very comfortable here, everyone is lovely and just does their own thing. The equipment is reasonable as well.

Big place, lots of variety in machinery, open 24hrs. They sell good food, drink, supplements and gym clothing at the front too. Overall, the best gym I've ever been to.

So after my previous review.. iv seen some impressive changes and so iv decided to update my review here now too. Someone is listening and im grateful. The music has changed! This gym feels more like a community than just a place where people come to train. The gym has the majority of its equipment cleverly laid out on the ground floor making access easy and no multiple levels forcing one to climb up and down numerous flights of stairs. The staff are kind, friendly and well presented. The gyms equipment is new, clean and of a world class quality, any repairs are carried out almost instantly if anything does need a service. The best part of this gym is its members, functioning more like a support network, lifting each other up, friendly faces, people greeting and chatting and training together focused on becoming better versions of ourselves. Highly recommended, the best gym you will find in the region. Its an honor to be a member here.

New member. First session this arvo, good vibe, clean, good machines and variety, and friendly staff. Good rates. Cant complain. Better than other gyms in the area.
