La Manchuria does a nice coffee and delicious cake (I only tried the carrot cake) but my experience was marred by crowding & staff dishonesty. They do coffee tours/ tastings so the whole cafe gets crowded with people standing around you while you sit. Most concerningly the cashier deliberately shortchanged me by 10,000COP when I paid by cash- gave her 100,000COP note on a 31,000 bill and she gave me 59,000COP back and then repeatedly tried to ignore me when I asked for correct change. She eventually gave me the 10,000 when I persisted but it was an unpleasant experience in a cafe where I would expect staff to be honest (prices are aimed at tourists here & I’m happy to pay the ‘tourist tax’ but expect not to be stolen from). This was after I had paid a 10% tip.

Probably the best modern coffee house in town. Not so much for a particular colonial style as found in others but for the coffee and delicious cheese cakes with different toppings. Sounds odd, but go ahead to the rest room, which is located in a beautiful patio.

A wonderful small yet very elegant place to have your morning coffee and a delicious pastry. The service was fantastic and my coffee just awesome. Starbucks coffee pales by miles in comparison. Loved the place, highly recommended!!!

I had a nice experience working and networking at this place, since any coffee lover can go in and taste a decent espresso. :D Thanks for the great service and cozy/hectic atmosphere! Regards from Santa Marta.

What a fantastic little spot this is. Cute little place with friendly and attentive staff. Coffee was good and their version of a cold chocolate milk was excellent. The two cakes we had were amazing! One was like a brownie Nanaimo bar. Definitely want to go back for another one!

Great espresso! It was great to see the staff was knowledgeable in the coffee, and it had a really nice aroma to it. I love that it came with a palette cleanser (the soda water), and a mini chocolate. It really though it all together. Idk why people would go to Starbucks with places like this around the corner.

Einer and Ricardo are very experienced and professional. They know a lot about coffee and they know how to prepare the amazing coffee. They let us try so many different varieties and explained all about them.

Amazing local coffee place in Cartagena. The baristas are very friendly and they take the time to explain the different varieties available. I’d suggest doing a tasting and going for their “Honey” or “Premium” in a chemex, you wont go wrong!

Beautiful cafe with great service. We tried a variety of cakes, chemex’s and their stout and it was wonderful. The indoor patio garden is also a must visit if you want to chill from the heat and enjoy your snacks.

Awesome coffee experience! The flavors are sweet and not bitter. The maracuya cheese cake it’s the best !

I came for an espresso. The coffee was really good -- if you like sour, not bitter coffee, it is the place that you should visit. Also espresso comes with a shot (just two sips) of sparkling water and a piece of tasty dark chocolate. Highly recommend this place. At least for a coffee.

I tried one of their cales today and capaccino. The cappaccino was on point. It had the right amount of bitterness in it but not too strong. The cale was nice as well. Will definately be back to try other items as well.
