The host Oscar was a nice guy and arranged a nice tour for us. Apart from that, the stay was very uncomfortable. We had the 2-person room. The matrass was so old that we laid on the wooden planks and it smelled. The floor was dirty and never cleaned. It was so hot and we wanted to open the window, but the insect screen was broken. We had no choice to sleep with the window closed, but we slept very bad because of that. We asked two times to repair the window, but it never was repaired good. The bathroom was also very dirty and there was fungus and half of the time there was no toiletpaper. The cleaning lady dropped a few drops of chlorine here and there, to give a clean smell, but it was not clean. On the table where we had breakfast, there where many ants and flies. We booked and paid for 8 nights, but left after 4 nights.

Super friendly staff. The Argentinian voluntee always smiling amd helpful. There are 3 bathrooms (shower with toilet) for the whole hostel. They seem to be frequently cleaned but so many times no toilet paper and the owners always leave a towel on the basin instead of having it up . but frankly it's NOT hygienic everyone cleaning hands same towel. put paper towels!! doors at first very smelly but due to guests it seems. female dorm they created just behin reception was quiet at night though in the morning one time woke up and my whole bed full of ants!!. communal kitchen is not really good for more than one person to prepare food at one time. not very clean either. large communal area but mainly for those who like to smoke substances. also whole I was there there was a guest totally high and abusive to both guests and staff and still the staff not kick him out. they didn't care much about safety of guests, their money came first!! it was cheap. 30k a night for 5 bed female dorm. needs a lot of small improvements. location is 15min walk to centro historico but have to pass a very dodgy tip sight where lots of homeless and very smelly. in daytime ok. at night maybe some foreigners feel a bit iffy the area. 10 min in taxi to airport!

What an incredible hostel! Super safe and such a beautiful vibe, feels like family and there is so much love under the mango tree in the backyard :) definitely recommend this place, cute dogs and cats included!

Best budget option in Cartagena! Beds are not the most comfortable and if you're not used to Cartagena heat it might get to you here, but you won't find anything at a location as good for a price like this. Also, I've been here a few times and they improved something every time, so this is definitely one to consider if you're on a budget!

Nos hospedamos por 3 noches, y aunque tenía buena onda el lugar y su gente, tuvimos varios inconvenientes y desagrados. Las habitaciones y baños tienen mucha humedad, es realmente molesto dormir con esa humedad en la habitación. Además cuando nos cambiamos a otra, mi pareja se despertó en mitad de la noche porque había una gotera y le caía el agua de lluvia encima. Un día contratamos el servicio de lavandería y cuando nos devolvieron la ropa supuestamente limpia, ésta estaba húmeda y más sucia todavía que cuando se la dejamos a la señora encargada. Incluso a mi pareja le perdieron unos calzoncillos. Cuando quisimos hablar del problema de la ropa y mostrarle lo sucia que estaba, el encargado no quiso atendernos hasta que terminase el partido de fútbol. La cocina no es agradable para cocinar, lleno de hormigas y sucia. Solo hay 2 baños para todos los huéspedes. Es barato, pero si llegamos a saber todo esto, hubiésemos preferido buscar otro lugar más agradable.

Nice simple Hostel. The people that come there are world Open and very friendly. You have everything you need. Shower, kitchen, bedroom, dogs

It was the best hostel I stayed at in colombia. It is cheap but it is the best hostel you can get for the money. It is safe and secure. Oscar is the owner and is on top of his stuff. And the employees are very well trained Damian took me personally to the hospital and helped me walk when I was ill.I highly recommend you stay at this hostel its close to getsemani and its the most secure and safe hostel I have stayed at in Colombia no problem only good times. Heck yeah and I will return when I come back thank you for everything and I will return!

the facilities aren't in the best conditions, and the location is not the best to walk around. The main host is kind but his helper from Chile is very rude.

My boyfriend and I stayed there for a while, and the place is so nice! The people who work there is the most kind and helpful people. They made us great breakfast every morning, and made the stay perfect. The area is safe, and we enjoyed our stay a lot. Would highly recommend!
