👍👍 Dined on the terraza. Beautiful place! The food was good, and the service was great. The terrace has a dj which was a bit much for what I like…..but overall I’d recommend this place. People often mention great, service, experience, Cartagena, dining, good, amazing, nice, dish, main,

Absolutely lovely! Our service was spectacular. It started raining and within seconds the staff had pulled out the rain cover and had secondary tables ready for guests in case they wanted to move. The food was so good, we ordered more after eating the first dish. The bathrooms are also super cool! One of the best two restaurants we ate at in Cartagena.

Visited this restaurant during my vacation to Cartagena and it was good. Our appetizers were amazing especially this ceviche with almost Greek style Tzatziki sauce. My main dish was light and easy. The vibe was nice with the decorations. The lighting was a little too dark but then the staff adjusted which allowed everyone to see their menus. The music was not too loud which was nice because it allowed you not to hear the table next to you. The service was okay. I think the server could have been a little more prompt for offering us a dessert menu but he eventually came over after my friend called to get his attention. Overall it was okay.

Fine dining at its best. Located within the walled city, the restaurant and its ambiance is an experience in itself. The food, not only looks beautiful, it is absolutely delicious! A must in Cartagena if you enjoy great food and dining.

A 5 star restaurant! First impressions are immediately good, with the great decor and friendly staff. The menu is not extensive and that is good as it focus on the Colombian ingredients, and it becomes the stars of each place. We ate the catch of the day, the ceviche, and the fish croquetas and everything was amazingly seasoned and tasty. It was my wife’s birthday and staff were very warming with a beautiful happy birthday ice cream desert. We really enjoyed this rooftop experience, besides the food, the music and the vibe was spot on!

Came here with a friend for her birthday and we had a wonderful experience. The decor is beautiful, the vibe is classy and tropical, and the menu has a little bit for everyone. Marco, our waiter, was very attentive and brought my friend a little dessert to celebrate. Highly recommend coming here if you’re into fine dining. We had the beef and the fish as mains plus the taco appetizer and all were great.

Amazing interior. Food was great except my main course. The fried rice and seafood with pork belly didnt hit the spot. I think rice was little hard. Staff was great. Drinks were great. Lighting on table was a bit dim do couldnt see food clearly at some areas of our long table. But the felt nice for the ambiance

Friends advised us to come here for lunch or dinner. We are on a cruise ship and made it a point to try the food here. It was amazing. From the service to the quality and flavors of the food. We are so glad to give this place a try. It was the best place to eat on our trip. Rafael was a great waiter. Sorry we were leaving again or we would be back every night.

Beneath the stars under the watchful eyes of the historic tower, Ramon delivered an amazing evening. Al fresco rooftop dining in style. Our party of five loved every dish and every moment. The sommelier surprised us with a rosé cider. All in all a great venue for a romantic meal or a family get together.

Beautiful place, the house has a fantastic atmosphere, nicely decorated, food amazing. My entry was much better than my main course, I ordered “ the coconut rice with with sea food” it was not outstanding. However, everything else was exquisite. Best part was the service, our waiter Marcos was well educated and super helpful. Overall, a great experience and a must to visit while you in Cartagena

The rooftop is lovely with a nice view of the church. The service was great and the food was just amazing! In the beginning, they offered some nice focaccia bread, which was a nice introduction to the dining experience. Came there twice, and I would definitely come again.

The food was absolutely amazing!! We ordered a combination of two entrees ( the tiradito and the crab croquetas” and one main dish that was ‘’ arroz titote” that was incredible! Also the dessert was delicious. The location looking at the St Teresa’s Church is beautiful and the service excellent! I have been here three times and I am sure this is one of the best restaurants in Cartagena.

Had a really great time at Mar y Zielo. Our waiter, Alex, took service to the next level. He did so by answering our questions beyond expectation and, if needed, by bringing other colleagues with the knowledge. The cocktails were all a home run. All had a great balance, but one certainly stood out; Rosa. Unique with smokey but fresh tones. A must try, even if you don't like mezcal and/or tequila (like myself). The food was outstanding, too. All food is really well balanced. Their own twist to the 'Surf&Turf' is deliciousand stood out. The venue is beautiful. From entrance to the bathroom. Would greatly recommend this restaurant to everybody visiting Cartagena.

This place is an unknown Gem! Amazing food great service and the space is so beautiful and relaxing!! So glad I found it the last night with friends! If you have a larger party 5+ then you need a reservation but 4 or less we could do a walk in. I had the crab croquette best I have EVER had!! Then for main I had the Titote Mar Y Terra (pork belly squid, and shrimp) kind of like an Asian flavor but the squid had it the day before and was so chewy this was like scallops!! Our server was so great and gave recommendations and so kind even brought us a special dessert from the chief! For dessert we had the cookie dessert!

Mar y Zielo: A Culinary Gem in Cartagena's Ciudad Amurallada - Ambiance: Contemporary with a colonial twist, complemented by low lighting for an intimate dining experience. - Service: Exceptional and attentive staff, ensuring a comfortable dining experience. - Food: Started with the "Carimañola" followed by the "Asado de Tira" for the main course. Both dishes were delicious. - Specialties: Highlights include the "Asado de Tira" and the "Titote Mar y Tierra". - Value: Pricing is reasonable, offering good value for the quality of food served. - Overall Experience: Highly satisfied and would definitely recommend for a quality dining experience in Cartagena. - Area for Improvement: The wait time for dishes (about 45 minutes) could be reduced for a more seamless experience. I’d definitely come back and recommend coming to Mar y Zielo!

Excellent cocktails and food. Our server Marco was awesome and gave us reccomendations and translated as best he could which was so helpful. The architecture of the restaurant itself is worth the visit.

Beautiful space! Service was excellent and our waiter was exceptionally kind and funny and attentive. We ate on the rooftop (cielo) - wonderful ambiance. And the food and drinks were creative wonderfully prepared. Only suggestion - and why I rated 4 stars instead of 5 - restrooms are 2 separate & identical toilet areas, with a shared sink area. For no reason the toilet areas are assigned a gender designation. Instead of waiting in line for the “women’s”, I used the “men’s”. The gender distinction should be removed.

Upscale take on Colombian classics! In a refined setting. Excellent selection and wide variety of flavor. Fabulous interior. Knowledgeable servers. And great wine list. Expensive for Cartagena but reasonable by any standard.

Best food experience in Cartagena. Each dish was beautifully presented and tasted amazing! The ceviche was my favorite dish of the evening. The desert was incredible too! There's a small rooftop where you can also have dinner, but I preferred the dinning hall. Kind service and good cocktails too!

Food was incredible and the waiters were very nice. They also are more than happy to tell you the history of the building and the food, as well as talk about its local roots. The atmosphere was great with ambient music and comfortable seating.

😠 I’m disappointed in the service we have been having at crepes and waffles. Extremely slow, rude waitresses, they do not give you attention- plus there was a green worm in our food. Did not take it off our bill

👍 If the servers were only helpful and friendly I would give this restaurant five stars. The servers seem to have an attitude and an air of snootiness. Not acceptable. The food is well presented but it does take a while to get it. My Poblano crepe was quite acceptable. The mushroom crepe was super yum...
