We had an awesome experience at the hotel we would like to thank Rosario at the front desk she was awesome very helpful and helping us with a matter and we appreciate her expertise. Thank you Rosario for your help. Although we had an issue with one of our rooms on the 41st floor the air conditioner was not working but service people try to get it Going but was an able to get it working. But aside from that we had a great day.

Make sure you pay attention to what you need to check in!!! A copy wont do as you must have your physical ID or passport when checking in. It was a big pain checking in because they wouldn’t take my ID and would only accept my passport. I physically had my ID and had a copy of passport but they wouldn’t let me check in. Big pain and a rough checkin experience. However, outside of this… Comfortable beds, spacious rooms, super nice, safe. Excellent food and coffee bar. Cool view and pool. Really great place.

We were visiting for a wedding and were very impressed with the well detailed decor of the hotel. The staff were excellent at all times during our stay. The rooms were spacious and clean, except for the mattress which was not comfortable enough as we expected. Food and drinks always delicious and the pool area was amazing. I would definitely go back. A special shout out to Alexis and Genesis for their professionalism and hospitality!

Probably the nicest hotel in Cartagena. The hotel and the rooms are newish, and well appointed. There are enough pools to satisfy the crowds. Breakfast was very good. It's within walking distance to everything touristy. Staff was helpful and the hotel was both quiet and comfortable. Prices for everything, particularly food and drinks, were reasonable. Only negatives, I would say, is that when we were there 12/2022, the beach was closed due to prep for rising seas. There are no balconies, boo!! And the ridiculous motion sensor bathroom lights that blast you at 2:00 am if you wake up to use the restroom.

Stayed here with my son. Our views from our 27th floor room were tremendous. I thought the breakfast buffet was great. I walked from here to the walled city several times. It took 15 - 20 minutes but I felt safe. The hotel has several floors of pools. We had a snack by the poolside which I thought was delicious. Service is excellent.

We were visiting for a wedding and were immediately impressed by the scale and look of the hotel. The staff was great here from start to finish in all aspects of the stay. We had an issue with some construction happening and the staff did everything in their power to make our stay more comfortable. The rooms were spacious and clean, with some really nice touches. The food and drinks were always on point and pool area was amazing. Would definitely return again in the future. P.S. Special shoutout to Miguel and his team for their professionalism and hospitality!

Alessandro comes in so happy. He comes to work with a smile on his face! He has so much talent in his coffee skills. He writes perfectly in the cream! He is attentive to the guests and takes care if our every need. Alessandro has a hard work ethic and it is noticed.

Great hotel with outstanding staff. Special thank you to Lida ( front desk ) Miguel ( manager ), Oscar ( pool staff ) . Who all went above and beyond to make sure my stay was special. People like Lida and her colleagues deserve any advancement in their career that may arise and are an asset to any company.

Thw rooms are spacious and always clean. The food at the restaurant is very tasty and delicious. The rooms have a wonderful ocean views unfortunately they have been working on their beach, but eventually this will be the perfect place to come and spend your holidays and or vacation.

Excellent location. Excellent service. Great amenities. Great views. The breakfast is more than your conventional "buffet" style and offers many options, including an omelet station. The beach out front is not swim-friendly but if you walk down about 2 blocks you'll be able to swim. It also appears that they're restructuring the man-made sand/rock dunes to prevent sea water from spilling onto the streets. There are multiple pools, more than enough to enjoy every day. The gym is well equipped and available daily. The area is very safe and security personnel at the main entrance are very attentive. Not sure why it says "4-star" but I give it 5!

One of the most well kept hotels I have stayed at, with wonderful staff. The views are amazing from either the bay or ocean sides, but the nighttime views into the bay are spectacular. All the food and drinks were top notch. I’d highly recommend the slight upgrade to allow you to grab breakfast from 8-10 am and a “snack” (actually a whole meal, with wine and beer) from 4-6 pm on the 30th floor. The three pools were clean and refreshing, and a great place for sunset watching with a cold drink.

This hotel is just incredible!! We had the pleasure of staying here just several weeks after they opened. We were not sure what to expect a few years later but it is just as amazing now as it was then. The staff from the front desk, to the bellman, to the coffee shop, to housekeeping to the bartenders and servers at the pool every single person went above and beyond. We LOVE that they have music several days a week and loved the dancing/music by the pool. Also the food was awesome! We tried the restaurant, pool and coffee shop and everything was wonderful! The pool is spectacular as well!! Close proximity to old city. A few dollar cab ride or it’s very easily walkable. My husband and I have been blessed to travel many, many places and this is still by far our favorite hotel and favorite city. Keep up the amazing work Hyatt Regency Cartagena!!! We already are booked for December and are counting the days until we see you again!

Just wow. This place is amazing & easily one of the best (If not the best) hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The stay started with a welcome pastry gift (fresh, tropical fruit-infused chocolates) & personalized note. There were so many thoughtful touches the concierge & housekeeping put in to make this stay special, including delivering me a birthday cake almost the minute I returned to the room after a long day of exploring. The club lounge was well stocked for breakfast & happy hour, and outside of those times was a comfortable escape from the rest of the hotel. Victor, the primary English-speaking concierge, was so helpful & friendly - I recommend talking to him if you’re looking to plan anything. The hotel is a short walk to/from the walled city & is adjacent to a large mall & supermarket. We were on 31 & had breathtaking views of the ocean, but given the location & height of the building, there are no bad views here. Highly recommend! Hope to return soon!

This is my new favorite hotel in Cartagena. It is a fantastic property all around and the service was great. The many roof top pools are beautiful and the gym has everything needed for a great workout. I look forward to visiting again soon.

I had an incredible experience staying at this beautiful hotel. The staff is top notch. They were nice enough to hold my luggage as I had a late evening flight. The pool is also breathtaking. I can’t thank the staff enough for being so professional and diligent! Chicken sandwich was delicious

Perfect hotel. Room service food was just okay. Breakfast is killer and service is incomparable. Most of the staff is bilingual English and Spanish. The views are amazing. All the rooms are past the 17th floor so ever room with a view has an amazing view. Amenities and staff are abundant and helpful. Will be back and i will stay here again.

Really enjoyed that the hotel on their own reached out to me via email a few days before our arrival, welcoming us to the hotel and asking if there is anything they could do. I mentioned how I hired a private chef for our room for a special evening for my wife and was wondering if they could assist in getting the Chef and his assistant access to our room. The hotel was very accommodating and extremely helpful, I was very impressed. Even upon arrival and check-in, I enjoyed how it must of been noted in my reservation but the Hotel Check-in person held off until my wife walked away to look outside before reassuring me that everything was taken care of and just enjoy my evening as I planned it, arriving to the room after the pool to the chef surprise. Yeah this hotel was amazing and I'm glad we added it as an extra stay to our Airbnb reservation within the Walled-city. Highly recommended it.

Absolutely a must if looking for comfort, excellent location, and super amenities. The staff provided one of the best stays I've had and I am a frequent traveler. No doubt an excellent choice with the beach and many restaurants in walking distance. Safe area to enjoy the wonderful city

I'll start by saying that I stayed in a 2 Double Beds with Ocean View and Club Access. The room is quite spacious and the view was amazing facing the sunset every evening. Darwin took care of us getting us drinks poolside as well as being our waiter at the outside restaurant. He was the best part of the experience, what a wonderful person and super attentive and professional. The food at the restaurants were decent but not amazing and the drinks were good. If I had to mention a negative is that the room I stayed at had "Full-sized beds" and they were very stiff. The pillows were flat, but I understand this is the cheapest room. The beach right in front is under construction but it's rumored to become a private beach for the hotel. The rest of the experience was super professional and relaxing.

This is such a beautiful and sleek hotel. I loved that our room was spacious, with a well appointed bathroom that had the WC separate from the large rain shower. The pools are gorgeous, with space for laying in the sun. The views are amazing. The only issue we had was with the service. The poolside restaurant service was painfully slow, like 30 minutes to an hour for something as simple as a sandwich. I ordered some ice cream only to get it when it was half-melted. Room service was disappointing, with very few options to choose from. Unfortunately, the adult pool is not staffed, so it tends to get littered with abandoned plates and glasses for hours, and people “save” the deck chairs for long stretches, while they go to dinner and shower, with the staff being none the wiser. We were also surprised that at this price, breakfast was not included.

Great place to stay. The staff was friendly, professional, extra helpful, there is nothing bad I can say about the staff. The only 2 issues I had was 1. Housekeeping still coming to clean the rooms every day of our stay even when we turned the housekeeping indicator off. 2. The cocktails tasted like virgin drinks so we had to ask for a shot to pour in the drinks. I'm used to resorts so I did miss being able to karaoke or have activities to do with other guests.

First hyatt property in Cartagena conveniently located beside a new and modern shopping mall. I recommend during low season as the hotel is spacious and it doesn’t feel busy. In high season it is hard to find a place by the pool or any of the common areas. Nonetheless service has always been great. Awesome views of the ocean and only a 5 min drive from the old city.

Great location and modern aesthic. Everything was clean minus a few spots in the carpet. The amenities were nice. It would be nice if the exercise equipment was updated as some machines have rusted out and are no longer usable. I would stay here again. I do recommend getting the breakfast option when booking.

Hotel was absolutely stunning! Views were incredible. Only downfall to this hotel is their spa. My face felt disgusting after my facial. I could hear the ladies texting on their phones then proceeding to touch my face. Could’ve gotten something way better back home for half the price.

Beautiful but beware. The hotel is beautiful and staff is super helpful. The food and coffee is amazing. BEWARE of the concierge - don’t use them. We used them twice and they messed up royally both times. The hotel wasn’t helpful in dealing with the issue so I would just avoid them at all costs.

Beautiful hotel for families however if you are single and like to have "fun" that might not be the right hotel they don't give you privacy, if you bring a friend over they will knock at your door and ask to get them out. for how much you spend per night that its not acceptable. there are better hotel l in the same street for less. Also the bar 🍸 close early 8 PM 😑

Beautiful hotel in a not so beautiful place. The hotel was good and updated. The staff however were horrible. My friend and I visited Columbia to celebrate our birthdays. Most of the staff, while dining, were dismissive and sometimes rude. We waited to be served quite often even after people who have arrived afterwards. The complexion of skin matters here, if you’re of a fair skin toned, you will have no worries. There were a few other guests with the same complaint. There were 2 female staff members who always had a pleasant attitude.

Pet Friendly... all lies. This hotel, while it says it is pet friendly, only allows pets in the residences - not the normal hotel rooms. In addition, there is an $80 A NIGHT fee + additional charges after 10 nights. When asking what you get for that fee? Nothing - that is just what the hotel wants to charge. A hotel that is actually pet friendly would not charge ridiculous prices for a little fur puppy. This hotel isn't even in a good location. Work from Hyatt in Cartagena?! Nope - I don't think so!

Overpriced. Booked for a king size bed and got a double bed. Ants in the restroom. Dirty windows. Room is small. Dozen of useless security at entrance just to give a sense of importance. For the 5 star they pride to have and for the fee, one should expect much more. Competitor hotel nearby have more reasonable prices and overall better conditions
