This hotel is rough diamond, but has the potential to become a gem. (+) good and safe location, 5 min. Walk to the old city (+) service ladies were very nice (+) beautiful old Cartagen house Unfortunately, many improvements are needed: (-) water and electricity did not work several times during our stay (-) wifi did not work (-) air conditioning remote did not work (-) sunbed mattresses and couches were incredible dirty not to say disgusting (-) pool is not really welcoming in a shadow place (-) breakfast was not good: sausage with cheese and some fruits. (-) I would hire a interior architect and with little invest, this hotel can turn in a real stylish boutique. Currently it’s not.

We received different breakfasts every day that gave us a taste of local foods and were very enjoyable. The staff, especially Anderson, Luisa, Elmer, Gloria, and Juliana were very friendly and made us feel at home and welcome. Was just a very short walk away from the beach and the walled city and we felt we were able to see a lot of the city while walking.

Very comfortable and friendly staff! This place is GORGEOUS. Powerful AC, nice bathroom/shower, cozy bed and room. The rooftop area overlooking the water was majestic at night, and a wonderful place to relax after a long day of sightseeing/traveling. Delicious breakfast included, and a great location - supermarket down the street and a burger food truck on the block!! Highly recommend!!

I loved my stay here, the room was nice and large and comfortable, the pool in the courtyard area was great. although I must admit I was woken up at 3am with a force I've never felt before trying to take the duvet off of me while I was half asleep. I had to use all my strength to keep the duvet from being pulled off of me. The first paranormal experience I've ever had, and hopefully the last.

We stayed there 2 nights (2-22-22 and 2-23-22) before heading to Santa Marta. Awesome place and the staff was great. We did not speak much Spanish and they helped us in several ways. We will more than likely stay here next time we go to Cartagena. It is a pretty easy walk to get into the walled city and a very short cab ride there. We stayed in the Jr. Suite w/ Sea View and we loved it! Great balcony overlooking the pool and view of the ocean. When we were ready to take the Marsol tourist bus to Santa Marta, it was only a couple minute walk down the street to get to their small terminal.

I had an amazing time in this place, it feels like a home in Cartagena, the service was great, always ready to help, and the food and the bedrooms were always spot on. Laura and Gregoria makes me feel so welcome and helped me as much as they could. Also, the location wise is pretty good, close to the old city. I will recommend this place 100%

The staff were what gave the standard of excellence. When we arrived early, they were able to hold our luggage for us, and have it waiting in the room later when we checked in. They super friendly and accommodating. When we were leaving for a tour, and unable to sit and enjoy breakfast, they prepared it to go for us. Speaking of the breakfast, it was amazing we had arepas con huevos, and they were delicious! The location is great, you are close enough to walk to the city center, but far enough to be away from the noise. The rooms are very comfortable, and you can escape the heat of the city in them. The only minor issues we had were the pool needed a little bit of cleaning, and one of the towels had some stains. This was overall was an amazing stay, the staff really do make the stay an experience.

There’s a lot of good things to be said about this hotel. It’s well located - outside the walls of Cartagena but it takes just about a 5 minute walk to go inside the walled part. Very close to the beach, too, albeit not the greatest beach. You’ll find a mini-market at walking distance as well. I had a suite that was very large and cozy, with a huge bathroom and a nice private patio. The hotel itself is very charming, if you like this type of colonial building. The interior yard where you eat breakfast is pretty and I enjoyed the small pool. Breakfast was yummy, it varied every day and the portions were big. The cook was kind and friendly. I also appreciated the young man who did the check-in but found the woman in charge of my check-out rather rude. I can only give three stars however because I didn’t have hot water for 5 days, the whole duration of my stay. There had been a storm the day prior to my arrival. Things happen, yes, but when I informed the owner that I didn’t have water and asked if it would come back soon, she just said no without apologizing or offering a rate reduction. Just ‘sorry’ would have been acceptable. At this point, it was too late to cancel and it didn’t look like there were any reasonably priced accommodations I could alternatively go to. So I stayed - but 5 days without hot water to shower is a lot. Finally, there’s a comida rapida a couple of blocks away on the same street that has cheap, incredibly tasty food and a full cohort of colourful characters that was so fun to hang out with. Do go if you have time!

Lovely hotel just a short walk outside the walled city. The owner Maria and all of the staff were so friendly and helpful. Great breakfast, lovely rooftop view, and lovely hotel interior. Very happy we stayed here.

Honest review from a travel agent. This is a cute little boutique hotel with really beautiful art on the walls, cute little pool and a nice patio with a hammock. However, the 1st night the water shut off on me while i was in the shower and when i asked for bottled water to get the soap out of my crevices I was denied and told to wait an hour for the water to return. The water never got hot. The safe did not work. I found several pieces of long straight hair in my bed, I have locs so it was not mine. The next morning i woke up in blazing heat because the electricity went out and had to wait to be restored (about an hr) once again. lobby is always hot and you get sticky pretty easily from the heat. The breakfast was ok but no scrambled eggs. I respect if it's not a colombian thing. It's a short walk to the walled city and the staff is Amazing. And when I say amazing I mean amazing. Unfortunately, I would not refer any of my clients because of the inconveniences I encountered. I paid more at this hotel than a hotel in Bocagrande and I feel as if it was not worth the price. Best thing about this property is the safety and the distance from the walled city.

HOLY MOLY!!!! We found a diamond in the rough, or should I say, a Diamond in plain view!!! This place is hands down the most comfortable, accommodating, enjoyable, and did I mention scenic hotel/inn that you can find in Cartagena. The staff and the view from the second and third floors are too die for!!! To begin the vacation Juan David and Andres welcomed myself and my fiance with open arms and the hospitality never ceased to stop. They constantly checked-in with is, they were never a stone's throw away when we needed help or advice on where to go, visit, eat or party. Elvis and Elmer were angels that saved us time and time again. They always made sure that we were well taken care of and always made sure that where ever we went, we were safe and not in harms way. The entire staff and property is like a HEAVEN OASIS! Our breaths' were constantly taken with every morning that passed. To say that we will return, IS AN UNDERSTATeMENT! The care, compassion, and family atmosphere that the entire property consistently provided is barn none. Can't wait to celebrate with OUR Cartagena family in the near future. Juan David, Andres, Elvis, and Elmer are the mainstays that will always have a special place in our hearts with how they made us feel welcomed and consistently comfortable with whatever request, question, and accommodation that we had. THIS IS OUR SECOND HOME AND WE ARE FOREVER GRATEFUL FOR EVERYTHING THAT THE STAFF AND HOTEL DID.

We really love this small supercozy hotel. It is situated between the old town and the beach with walking distance to all activities we wanted. The breakfast was deliciously served every day by the pool with good variations. The best thing about this hotel was people working there! They made us feel welcome from the first second, and we felt really like home❤️ The pool was refreshing, and the air-conditioning was super. WiFi was great. The hotel is a beautiful colonial building with a feeling of past glory and that is charming ! We really recommend this hotel!
