Hotel casa Gloria I do recommend. Ive stayed there twice now . 1st time we rented five rooms.Which was 2 years ago So we had the whole Entire place pools was private too us and we was allow to party . This year we rented 4 rooms and had to share the place with other guests. Not saying they have only five rooms , actually they have 10. But I think they’re changed the narrative of there hotel which I understand. Because we were throwing parties thinking it was ok like two years ago and the other guest was complaining which we deeply apologized and apologize here. This a great place to come relax very clean maids clean rooms every day new bedding. You can relax by the private pool on the main floor or the jacuzzi on the roof which is very maintained. 24 hour staff late night staff you will need google translate but the ladies at the desk speak a nice amount of English. It is friendly and quiet. Yes you hear morning activity you staying in the old city you will hear that anywhere you stay in the walled area. Which is safe but thats a story for another day. I never had anything missing from the hotel or stolen neither times I have left jewelry and money around in my room without a problem. You have your own keys one to door and one to safe that’s in your room. This is a small and vintage hotel so if you want like your big hotels look , this not going to work for you. Mrs Gloria is the elder woman that’s there do out the day is a very nice woman and will know when you see her. And her staff are very respectful and friendly and can help you with mostly everything. A plus super market, taxi service, Mall, street breakfast, cash exchange, restaurant, etc around the corner going left out the front door of hotel . And to the right like 10 seconds it’s a 24 hour restaurant on the corner food is about 7-8 just cause I didn’t eat nothing but chicken and rice at that place but family ate everything. But call ahead if you will like the area if you plan on throwing parties or playing loud music. Or just rent out all the rooms will be my recommendation very affordable I stay there for 8 day for 550 a room . The beds Queens they do have a King room with jacuzzi in it also . Sorry for the long review I just wanted too address some of the bad reviews in my opinion of the Hotel. And provided a good overview review too.

This is a small family-owned Hotel in Centro Cartagena. There's a plunge pool downstairs in a small Courtyard Garden and a Jacuzzi on the rooftop patio. Rosa and Marlene cook breakfast for everyone. Colombian coffee! Another Rosa is the receptionist / concierge and always has a smile on her face. She speaks good English. My single room was small but clean.

Reception desk staff are amazing. They are so helpful and were able to communicate quite well with us in English. Complimentary breakfast was great and our room was nice and clean. There is main floor pool and rooftop hot tub for relaxing in and watching the sunset. Our only complaint was that water tended to be a bit intermittent. We sometimes had to wait 10-15 minutes for water in our room. Great location. Cute boutique hotel well worth a visit.

This is a beautiful property inside the walled city of Cartagena. It is wonderfully located within a quieter section of the old city. Breakfasts were great and Kevin and the rest of the staff were always 100% attentive, kind and helpful. There is a small pool on the main level which is a great way to cool off after a full day in Cartagena. The room had all of the amenities we needed and the air conditioning was great. There are also two amazing parrots next to the pool that are hilarious.

Hotel staff and common rooms are really nice. Another big plus, location is perfect to explore the Old Town or nearby Getsemani. Despite loving the Colonial architecture, the rooms / equipment feel very outdated and worn down. What the most annoying part is, paying extra for what you are actually getting - at least if you have the Studio room. You’ll get a smaller than advertised 50sqm room with a nice street view and simple windows right next to the entrance. Meaning, you will hear every word spoken in the common area, every person coming or going as well as pedestrians, cars or carriages passing by. Really not a light sleeper, and only speaking about the Studio here (Room 1 & probably room 2 as well). In addition, which you might have already experienced traveling Colombia, the shower and bed are not made for relatively tall people. 6”12 / 184cm is already a bit difficult.

We stayed here for one night when we first arrived in Cartagena. It is a lovely hidden gem tucked in behind a doorway in Barrio San Diego. It is a perfect location within the walled city and is in walking distance of all the sites in the city. The hotel was lovely and full of vibrant colours. Just what youd expect a Caribbean Coast Boutique hotel to look like. We spent some time relaxing in the pool on the roof overlooking the town's skyline.

excellent little hotel in the heart of cartagena's historic center. the rooms are small but well kept with private bathrooms, which were spic and span. the staff was friendly with the younger ones knowing some english. they were always happy to help and give advice on where to go for food and fun. there even is a little pool in the courtyard which was a welcome treat after walking the hot streets of cartagena. Very nice place indeed!

Amazing place. Rooms are clean, even if a little small. Staff is very helpful. Jacuzzi on the roof is really nice, especially at night.

Meh - we found Casa Gloria to be a bit overpriced (I’d highly recommend Bantu Hotel, where we stayed for the other portion of our time in Cartagena) and gritty. The rooms are incredibly small - almost akin to what you’d find in Manhattan.

It’s not a four star hotel. It’s more like an average three star hotel. It looks nice from the outside, and the courtyard is pretty. The rooms, however, are smaller than some walk-in closets. They keep the place clean but in general it’s pretty spartan, thin towels, cheap sheets, etc. I opted for the hotel breakfast one day (15k pesos). It was one scrambled egg, one piece of toast, a small bowl of fruit and a small coffee. Upon arrival, I learned that you don’t get keys, you have to ring to be let in. The second day the bell stopped working so I had to pound on the door and hope someone heard me. On the positive side, the staff was quite nice. The location is convenient, right in the thick of the historic area. The owner, Gloria, is nice enough, but rather distant and doesn’t engage with the guests at all. Overall it’s okay, but I think it’s overpriced at $60/night.

We had a room located right next to the street. We were woken up throughout the night with busy traffic noises of carriages, taxis & motorbikes. Bring ear plugs!

I can't recommend this place enough. It's cheap for what it is. Beautiful and relaxing the pool is quiet with no people. Air conditioning rocks. Despite other reviews, we had no trouble with hot water. Staff are kind but the hotel is basic in terms of services. No bar ect. However, this is good as next door is a beer shop and you can bring beers to the hotel. This is souch cheaper than drinking at hotel prices all day. You even have a fridge to keep them cold. I'll be staying again.

Comfortable hotel. Rooms are a bit small but nice bed and shower. Beautifull patio and two pools that are well maintained. Lovely service, the people are really kind and gave a lot of good tips for sightseeing/food.

We stayed in Casa Gloria and had an excellent stay. Nini at the reception was just the best and helped us out with everything we needed to know, restaurants, bars, tours etc. We are coming back for sure!!!
