DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!! If no stars, or negative stars could be given, this place would have it!!!! We had a 2 night stay at this hotel a few nights ago, and we had our gopro stolen from our room! Our brand new gopro10, which contained all our videos and photos of our trip all around Peru, and of the start of our travels in Colombia. We had left in the morning to go on a boat trio, and forgot our gopro on the bed. When we returned it was nowhere to be found. We turned the room upside down, inside and out, but it was gone! When we approached the reception, the lady was so rude and very unwilling to help us. Her response was "it probably was taking to the laundry in your bed sheets by mistake". When we asked to be taken to the laundry to attempt to connect our phone to the gopro she said "no, you can wait until the morning ". We mentioned that since there are security cameras, we wished to see the footage of When we left the hotel, and when the cleaner went in. And the response again "no one is here to do that, and I am not going to help". The next morning, the manager was there, and had heard about what happened, and said "oh the person incharge of the cameras was meant to be here today, but he isn't answering my calls".... surprise surprise.... In the meantime we managed to get to the laundry, where nothing was found... We waited for approximately 2 hours, and just before we had to catch our bus out of town, coincidentally the access to the cameras was given to the manager. Only to find that all the camera footage of the day our camera was deleted, and all the other days not!!!! On demanding for more answers and what they were going to do about our stolen property, the answers simply were "well anyone could have taken your camera, and we aren't at fault". How could we have travelled to the places we did, and have our property untouched...only to go to a hotel where you would expect your property to be "safer", and have it go missing with absolutely nil empathy or remorse from the hotel!!? DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I go back to Cartagena, I am going to lodge in this hotel again. Daniel, the security guard, was very kind and helpful to my family and I since we stepped a foot into the hotel. He carried out bags to our respective bedrooms. Of course, I tipped him for his help. Despite he is not a tipped employee, he and others who work like him will appreciate you sparing them a few dollars like I did for him. The front desk gals were all very kind and helpful to us as well. They make you feel like you really arrived to Colombia where you are supposed to be at the moment. Their Caribbean-style hospitality could be only outperformed by the complementary breakfast next morning. You could really enjoy a real costeño meal included in what you pay for your room. I really enjoyed eating Arepa de Huevo and Huevos Pericos for my first meal in the morning. Orange juice, fresh fruit and coffee were just the cherry on top. You can enjoy your breakfast either inside their indoor cafeteria or outside under the shack by the swimming pool. The rooms are spacious. Mine had a king-sized bed and another full-sized bed. Just make sure the mini fridge of your bedroom is connected to the wall outlet as you first walk inside of it. You never know when you are going to want to buy beer or something to eat at the 24-hour Carulla supermarket like I did. I really loved my stay at Hotel Bahia. Nice. Comfortable. Affordable. Thank You Hotel Bahia, See You Real Soon!

The price value is okey. The rooms are almost clean. When we entered the room the AC was leaking. They fixed it but we had to wait 15 minutes. The fridge was dirty and seemed really old. The breakfast is not really good. Dry eggs and the fruits seemed not to be really fresh. The hotel is rather cheap and therefore the quality is low.

Stayed here before and it was great. This time, not so much. Rooms were different, furniture real low, like it's for little people. Breakfast was always good. Service was excellent. And they do have hot water but it's hard to control. Not sure there will be a third time.

Pretty much what you would expect from a 3 stars hotel, nothing more. Two of the front desk ladies are adorable. The hotel restaurant was terrible, food was tasteless and not fresh at all. The melted butter at breakfast gives a good idea about how well food is preserved

Near to beach, great service, have a professional staff. Haven't a lot of options at breakfast, but it's good.

Was it that terrible? Maybe not, but erasing the first impression of that person at the reception who saw us tired, with a child and showed no empathy. He knew no English and all he did was to irate us more and more. We felt treated as scammers, not as guests. We finally got in the room, passing via a mold smelling lift, whitch was neither nice or clean. There was no phonic isolation, you could hear all the cars, the people on the street, and all the other guests. The room was cleaner the next day though, but all was still old. You could call it "classic" or "vintage", but looking under the sync, "unfinished", "rusty and degraded" comes to mind. The mattresses where somehow comfortable, albeit a bit too ferm. The breakfast, nothing good to mention. We did not use the pool as when we saw it, it was not open for public. My conclusion - the hotel has the 3 stars in the lobby and 30 years (at least) of missing renovations. I'd never chose it, even if the pool seemed a bit larger than some other small hotels. We appreciate that they offered us an early breakfast (to go) and the restaurant staff was nice - adding a star.

Dirty rooms full of bed bugs. The room keys stop working all the time so you need to go back and forth a couple of times untill the receptionist gives you a functional one.

Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is delicious. The wi-fi is super fast and A/C works well. If you are planning a trip to Cartagena stay at this hotel.

Old hotel but inexpensive. The staff is a little too much with all the rules. Overall not a bad experience...
