Had a wonderful time at NH Cartagena Urban Royal, staff are very helpful and pleasant. Gabriel and Antonio were an amazing team to interact with. Courtesy and a smooth easy check-in. Customer service was exceptional. Its located literally in the center of everything. If you face the plaza or clock be aware it is noisy but what do you expect its right in the hub of everything. The pool rooftop had the most beautiful views ever. Restaurant inside service delicious food and at decent prices. The rooms are clean and modest similar to European Boutique Style. So know what to expect. In general NH Cartagena Urban Royal is worth staying at is conveniently located to all attraction, marina and a perfect tour pick-up location. Also near to Discovery which had fantastic deals on excursiones Alexis H. was an amazing representative and I felt completely safe and booked all 5 tours with him. I can only give positive recommendations about this hotel.

Best feature Location. The hotel is conveniently located in the Walled City. The Walled City was a delight to walk around, in the day and night. There are lots of restaurants, bars and parks in walking distance of the hotel. Service was... Excellent! The staff were friendly and welcoming. What about sanitary measures and COIVD-19 protocols? Hand sanitizer was readily available near elevators and in other public spaces. Employee's consistently wore face-masks. Notable Feature The rooftop pool is a great way to unwind.

It is close to the city center as well as other great attractions, restaurants etc. A really good modern hotel with all the amenities you could want, including cool rooms, plenty of space, and a very clean and tranquil setting. The location of the hotel is perfect. Its right next to the Clock Plaza which is right by one of the exits of the walled city, so its very convenient for catching a cab to go to other places, etc. There are tons of restaurants nearby. The service is excellent, the staff is wonderful. The view from the rooftop at night is beautiful, you can sit there enjoy the music from the nearby restaurants and enjoy the view of the city. Having sad all the great things, note its very noisy through late hours of the night. During night hours, there are tons of street workers all over nearby streets, so the vibe at night changes a little bit. I didn't feel unsafe, but it not a comfortable environment to be in.

Hotel is located very close to a fun area of the walled city, and close to the harbor to get to various island cruises. The hospitality, restaurant, and pool where superior and made the experience amazing. Enjoyed walking around the neighboring blocks and found amazing restaurants, bars, and shopping.

The staff and location was great! Geraldine was very nice and accommodating food was really great and all my needs was taken care of. The best rooms were the suits because you are able to open the windows or doors for fresh air some of the rooms did bot have that option. Aside from that everything else was perfect better than the last time I stayed. Always give places a second chance 👍🏾

I wish There was a way to share photos of the rooms to display how terrible these rooms are. Mold, growing everywhere shattered glass partitions in the hallway hairs from previous guests in shower, sink and bedsheets. The bed headboard had greasy stains on it. Although you have prepaid and check in is at 3 PM, the rooms are never ready until well after that. Had to go through three premium rooms before they found one with an air conditioner that worked part of the time. Very disappointed. It was difficult to sleep with the noise from the air conditioner and street. The staff on the other hand tries hard, but they are not supplied (from NH) with the resources needed to make this a good Hotel to stay at. Please take my advice and book elsewhere, unless you’re use to, and like foul conditions. I’m not sure if these are fake reviews giving them a five, but this place doesn’t even deserve one. Perhaps the people reviewing have never stayed in an actual nice hotel? I traveled the world and stay in hotels everywhere and this was a disaster. The only resolve they could come up with was to offer me 25% off a future stay😂.

Great location in the heart of the old town of Cartagena close to the best restaurants, bars and clubs. Staff are super helpful and professional at all times. They really look after you and have great local knowledge. The rooms are on the small side but that’s a minor issue. The beds are great for a very restful nights sleep if you choose. Restaurant on site offers a healthy breakfast with plenty of choices, and has a very good lunch and dinner menu.The roof top views are unmatched and the pool is the perfect spot to sip a cocktail and take in the stunning views of the old town, harbour and town plaza.

I wouldn't consider this a 4 star hotel based on my experience. Maybe 3? They did accommodate me with the last room they had left but it must have been a joke. My room flooded and they blamed it on the design of the shower. I assumed it was because of the drain not working fast enough but if it was the design like they said, that is a huge problem. The mini bar was empty. No water was provided. I stayed at the NH collection in medellin and that felt that a true 4 star hotel. Maybe even 4.5. This one in cartagena felt like the illegitimate love child of an nh collections and a Motel 6. There are many places in cartagena. I don't think I'll be going to this one again. The worst part was there was no communication or care about my concerns. I mentioned it to the front desk. They didn't send anyone to fix it. The maid just put towels down likes fort and called maintenance to fix it. Upon checkout, the front desk was still surprised about the incident and didn't care at all. Also, the faucet was broken but it wasn't a huge issue. It was more cosmetic and annoying since it moved back and forth. I could go on...

Everything was perfect. Staff was incredible, breakfast was delicious and local, rooftop pool was a total vibe with the view, great spacious rooms with updates bathrooms, would definitely come back!

Hotel has an A+ location, but needs to be updated. Pool need maintenance. If you're looking for a quiet place ,go somewhere else.

This place is a scam, run away. The other reviews must be fake. 152usd/night and my room had , no natural light, no fan in the toilet, it was dirty and there was constant noise from some machinery. The AC is loud and over the bed, and the Wi-Fi is open and keeps dropping. It’s worth 20usd/night. The personnel and the managers are nice and eager to help.

Hotel staff was very welcoming and extremely helpful with room details, as well as recommendations for excursions and restaurants. Location is perfectly situated in the heart of the city and all sights are walking distance. Rooms on the front-facing side of the building can get a little loud for light sleepers with the sounds of the nightlife.

Staying at the NH collection in Cartagena was by far the best decisions we made on our trip! The lobby attendants are extremely helpful and are by your side for any need, excursion advice, food advice, and most importantly a feeling of safety. The room service is fantastic and beds are comfy as well. Victor was the attendant we had spoke to for our weekend in cartegana and he by far made our trip worth it and memorable! Can't wait to visit again next year.

I just stayed in this hotel room 410 with a view to the hallway, and I must say that they have friendly staff. The rooftop pool had a nice view of the city, but they could have had a nice bar on the roof and the pool had dirty looking water. The buffet breakfast was limited on the selection but not the quantity, but there was a waiter called Eduardo who was amazing. The location of the hotel can not get any better. It was in the center of all the action. The rooms were not all that great. The curtains were horrible. The bathroom had a nice size, but the sink looked like it was falling apart from the wall. The air conditioner was awesome though. Great location great location.

Great Staff. Very friendly and professional. They make the hotel feel very safe and welcoming. The area is very lively and full of action. Plenty to do from historical sites to bar hopping to eating an arepa on the street. The area is beautiful at night and during the day especially in the early morning. Banks and money exchanges are within 50 meters. Covid restrictions have the area shut down at around 10pm Monday - Friday, and 12 on weekends. I would definitely stay here again.

Had to book something at the last minute and this hotel was able to accommodate me for a 3 night stay for a very fair price. The entire time I was there they treated me like absolute royalty. Fantastic service, perfect location, and the rooftop is lovely. I’m happy it worked out and the staff was great. I would definitely stay here again.
