The Atlantic Lux Hotel is well located in the Boca Grande section of Cartagena. My room had a balcony and a view of the ocean. The staff here are incredible and made my stay pleasurable. I took off 1 star because the room could use a bit of updating. All and all a great value for the money.

Was a nice hotel at one point now is outdated and needs to be brought to new tech and looks. Beds need updating and better mattress. The place is at a great location pool was good, is placed so you get the sun the entire day. Wich is very good if you are caching some rays. Wish it was kept open later. Did not have enough time to enjoy it.

We stayed at the Atlantic Lux Hotel based on the reviews. This was supposed to be a 4 star hotel. Well it’s not. This hotel is dated, our room was very small, the toilet seat moved, the towels were stiff, there were no lamps for the night tables, the refrigerator was unplugged, the bed was very hard. To compound my dislikes was breakfast. The food in the trays was cold, and very limited choices. What a disappointment. The hotel is centrally located , but it’s not beach front property.

Rooms are nice. Clean, modern, and the shower room is spacious. A nice little pool. Location good for being in the centre of things. Cleaners did a good job. Mattresses are rockhard. Although the staff did put an extra quilt on top which softened it. Breakfast was appalling and very low quality with very little choice. Coffee was the worst coffee I’ve ever drunk. Hotel is on the main road. At night I was kept awake every single night to the early hours by bars and clubs playing the music. If you stay here you must bring earplugs. I was on the 10th floor, my friend was on the ninth floor. We both had the same problem with noise from the streets outside, which also included everyone tooting the horn all the time. Beaches are nice, with a good view. But you’re absolutely swamped with various different hawkers selling one thing or another and wanting your business. It made the beach utterly untenable as they literally waited to pounce on you every few metres. Same with hawkers on the street. You just don’t get left alone. While we appreciate in these poor countries they want to make a living, there is a balance and a line. They have a gym. But it is in ruins and all unplugged. What a waste. Overall the hotel is worth the money you pay, £50 a night. Just. It absolutely should have a better breakfast which was really bad. And the location on that main road subjects you to a lot of noise till the early hours.

Young girls with little clothing walking in and out of the fire exit to the stair well all hours of the day, and night. The safe instructions are for a different safe. If you ask for help with safe it may not be until next day. My room door would just open at times it has a faulty lock. Maintenance told me do not worry about it, and there is a camera in the hallway. This made me feel uncomfortable during my one night stay. There is no towels available at the pool. You will have to use your shower/room towels.

I stay there every time I am in Cartegena. Reasonable rates, excellent breakfast, accomidating staff. I think this is my 5th or 6th time staying. Well it's 2022 and I am still very happy with everything at the Atantic!

Rooms were fine, but I had visitors who did not stay and they way over charged me for them coming up for a drink. Also, cancelled two nights, which they returned the money for then a month later they recharged me. Super shady practices, the casino seemed pretty shady as well.

Very good localization, the employees are nice and cuzy place.

Sorry I didn't take many photos of the hotel but the video is the view from the balcony. The hotel is the perfect location for bars, restaurants etc. The staff are friendly, breakfast was OK and the rooms are clean and spacious. For the price I paid I am happy. I travelled solo and felt safe.

There was no complementary water or even coffee on most of the hotels that I've been they have complimentary water coffee tea and condiments like creamer sugar. The room is just fine the comfort room is average.

Bad experience, the hotel is clean and decent. But the service is not what I expected. I had several issues like kitchen running out of food in the middle of breakfast, not being able to make collect calls to the US, they did not allow a friend to come up, room service taking several trips because they kept forgetting parts of the order. Overall a bad experience, I ended up leaving and moving to another hotel. And to top it off they did not wanted to refund the 2 days I had left. I do not recommend it at ALL

Good value hotel in Bocagrande nice, comfortable, modern, clean room. buffet breakfast and nice pool to relax in. There's a Casino in the building and many bars and restaurants nearby and 2 minute walk to the beach.

Its a comfortable hotel has everything you may want or need for a hotel nice pool, nice bed, a patio good showers even a casino downstairs only gets one off perfect due to no premium channels on the tv, and now since pandemic they no longer have buffet style breakfast which i loved last time I stayed here, and since my wife got sick one day because of something bad she ate we stayed in all day rcn wasnt cutting it . I am accustomed to staying in American and Canadian hotels, so I am judging this hotel from that perspective. A one line summary would be as follows: “This hotel is a great value for the money if you are looking for a very central location beside the main beach, but do not expect a lot of extra features.” Here are the pros – It is extremely centrally located. You are a 3 minute walk away from the main beach. There is a convenience store a short walk away. There are tons of restaurants, both chain restaurants, and independent restaurants. There is a casino next door if you like that sort of thing. The price was very competitive with other similar hotels. There is a swimming pool and patio area with lounge chairs. There was a free buffet breakfast and the eggs were excellent. The area appears to be extremely safe to walk at night. It is easy to get a taxi quickly. The room was very clean. The room has a refrigerator, safe, and television in the room. The wi-fi was excellent. Here are the cons – The pool is very small. The pool is often in the shade, so the water is colder than it should be for Cartagena. You cannot lounge in the pool because you will get cold. There are only 4 pool check lounge chairs. There are only two elevators and they are kind of slow. There was no coffee maker in my room. The safe was already locked so I could not use it unless I had an employee open it for me. The breakfast is lacking any meat like bacon, sausage, etc. I had to ask for toilet paper for my room from the front desk. They delivered the daily fresh towels to my room at 7 pm and I was in the middle of something with my wife, if you know what I mean. The television is terrible because you only get about 8 to 10 channels. The front desk does not speak English very well, but my wife is from Colombia, so this was not a barrier for me. Would I stay here again? Yes, I would, but only if the price was right, and I was looking for a “beach holiday” rather than a “lounge around the pool” holiday. If you are looking for features that I have listed as “pro” and can live with the “cons” then this hotel is an excellent budget choice for you.

This is a 3 star hotel with unmet potential. Good location, spacious rooms, nice small pool good cleaners. Central location. Negatives - terrible breakfast offering, 2 lifts mean frequent waits, maintenence issues - no WiFi on my floor, TV only fixed on my last day, shower head partially blocked, one lift went defective 3 days ago, still down. Very noisy from outside - music abd vehicle toots.

This hotel is in the heart of Bocagrande. You have a lot of food and bar options. Everything within walking distance. The hotel breakfast is great. The pool is a bit small but you have the beach literally across the street. The views from the hotel balcony are breathtaking at sunset.
