The monument was created by Colombian artist Rodrigo Arenas Betancourt in 1974, and consists of three bronze statues representing the famous winged horses from Greek mythology known as the Pegasus. The actual monument is beautiful. This is where most of the island tours and sun set tours meet and leave from. There are a lot of vendors with hats, sunscreen, aquatic shoes, and other stuff. They can be very pushy, but will eventually go to the next person.

It's a very nice place to take photos, although they are cleaning up the streets in front of the park on the other side of the street.

(Translated by Google) The monument consists of three bronze sculptures of Pegasus or mythological horses in an attitude of flight, placed on two separate pedestals, the first of which supports the imposing figure of a Pegasus and the second exposes two figures of a large and small size. . The Sculptures are placed facing the Bahía de las Ánimas in the area adjacent to the Camellón de los Mártires, to which their backs are turned, on pedestals over two meters high, covered with limestone inside planter nails built with the Clear purpose m of ornamentation. The original monument of "Los Pegasos" existed during the last years of the 50's and the first years of the 60's of the 20th century, deteriorating over time, until when the Physical, Political and Cultural Circumstances of the City determined his disappearance (Original) El monumento Consta de tres Esculturas de bronce de Pegasos o caballos mitológicos en Actitud de Vuelo, colocados en dos pedestales Separados, el primero de los Cuales Soporta la imponente figura de la ONU Pegaso y El Segundo Expone dos figuras uña de Tamaño Grande y Pequeña otra. Imposing works that represent the winged horses of Greek mythology, located in front of the bay of souls. They are not the originals (which had been ordered to be made by the president of the Ladies of the City at that time). It is believed that the idea was to represent the free and indomitable spirit of the city.

Very beautiful sculptural group. Located in an emblematic place in the city, it also serves as a reference for all those who meet or see each other on the way to the pier. Very nice set. It represents, as its Chinese name indicates, the winged horse of Greek mythology.

Here you will find the pier towards fun, it is the starting point for many tours, whether for the sunset or a walk at night admiring Cartagena. Without a doubt it has a lot of energy and there are people going there. The views are incredible and if you forgot to buy water here they sell it for 2,500 pesos per small bottle.
