The service has been horrendous from start to finish. The room is extra small and even with the ocean view there's isn't much to see outside the windows, it's impossible to see out of due to the table right infront if it. The air conditioner has not worked as it's stuck at 24°c and calling front desk is a joke as no one is responding. I went down to front desk to ask for two extra pillows and it's been 5 hrs no pillow. The bed sheets had red stains on it so I took that out. Furthermore the restaurant on the second floor was a joke, the food was bland and def not something I expected from a reputable hotel. Over all I will never stay at an ibis hotel and you should all be aware before booking.

The place is close to pretty much everything. The only things I can say I didn't like was that out of the 3 elevators 1 was broken from the 3 days I stayed there. The breakfast was not that good and very overpriced.

Don’t stay here! When we arrived, their phone surface was down and we weren’t able to check in. They said they would call us. We showed back up an hour later and they were checking people in and never called us! Then they didn’t have our reservation when I presented the confirmation number to them. Took over 30 minutes to process our check in. I asked for a beverage from the bar while we were waiting for the inconvenience and she told me it’s not their fault then I gave her my number and said oh, you are entitled to two complimentary beverages. We went to the bar and they said it was only for a soda! After questioning the same agent at the front desk, she confirmed. Very frustrated by now. Went to our room only to find out it was already occupied by somebody else! We walked in on them. After going back downstairs to get another one, she still said that we were not entitled to anything complementary because it’s not their fault. Once finally in the room, the air-conditioning was set at 16°C (61°F). It never got cooler than 24°C (78°F). The phone in the room did not work and we tried calling them via the published phone number and they never answered. So I had to go back downstairs and of course no fan! This place absolutely sucks!!!

If I could leave a No Star I would. Not sure how this hotel has any positive reviews. From check-in to check out the experience was terrible. Check-in took forever even though rooms were prepaid and had all of my information beforehand. Only given one room key even though we had four guests staying in the rooms. Rooms are small and floors are unfinished. The room has wood flooring that looks like someone was drunk when installing it with big gaps in between each plank. Went to go to the bathroom and the towels had stains on them and looks like they had not been cleaned. The telephone and tv in one of the rooms did not work had to wait for an hour for someone to come and fix it. The remote in the other room did not turn on the control box or change channels if you wanted to watch a different channel you had to manually change it from the box. The ac was either too cold or too hot. Could not adjust the temp to be comfortable. The breakfast buffet that everyone seem to say was excellent was terrible and a waste of money. Eggs were disgusting, fruits were not fresh, and variety was very poor. For the price, you pay it was terrible and not worth the money. Then our last day was the worst. We get back to the hotel after having breakfast at a real restaurant to find out they have no power or water. They tell us 5 minutes and everything will be back on. We wait for over 30 minutes and nothing. No updates from the staff and we have to go to the airport to get our flight at 3 pm. Our room is on the 23rd floor. They gave us a key to make sure we could get into our room but offered no help to bring our luggage down from the 23rd floor so we could make our flight. So my girlfriend, her sister, and I had to go up 23 flights of stairs and carry down luggage for 4 people without any assistance from anyone at the hotel, and the last 3 flights of stairs were in the dark because they had no emergency lighting on those floors. They wouldn't even give you a bottle of water after sweating like crazy going up and down 23 flights of stairs. No, apologizes no nothing. The attitude was just like oh well that is your problem. Needless to say, I will never stay at an Ibis Hotel anywhere and I do not recommend this hotel chain to anyone ever. Save your money and stay away from this hotel.

A day before my reservation I got an email from them telling me how much I had to pay with taxes and fees included, when I arrived there, they told me a different price saying it was due to tax increase by the government. Room was very small with literally just two tiny pillows, no hand towel, no coffee bar, etc. and the floor was unfinished. Definitely not worth it for the price paid.

They take my crédit card enter the wrong amount dont give me a receipt or tell me that I paid. Just for deposit. Then wrong price doesnt excuse or anything. I paid cash after twice and never got my refund. I spent 2hours with the manager staff doesnt solve my problem. Back in Canada I have to contest with Mastercard. I will never go back to any Ibis hôtel. Room to small. Food disgusting. And REALLY REALLY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. And They chargé wrong price by 60$!!! They try to scampi customer

The rooms had food left over in them and the water comes out of the shower on to the bathroom floor. Rooms are bare bones. But great access to the beach snf they provide beach towels.

Friendly staff. The room was clean with view on the sea. They have a bar open 24h in the lobby, a restaurant as well. Breakfast has variety. 10min from the airport. Parking onsite. I would recommend it.

Only stayed one night prior to catching a flight. The room was smaller than anticipated or was shown in the pictures; and it had a strong smell of bleach. Two regular towels but no hand or body wash towels. Kind of spartan.

Very well situated on the coast, fantastic views of the sea. Not all the staff are bilingual, Check-in and check-out take time so expect delay

I read the 1 star reviews and was hesitant but honestly they either fixed all the issues or the naysayers are overly sensitive Got the top floor room. It was the cheapest one I got from booking but it had everything like every other ibis. The only tiny problem was the a/c was on the verge of not being cool enough. They must have had some repairs of the HVAC system while we were there. Because the first night it was very cold. It's also really nice to have the supermarket directly across the street.

Breakfast was pretty basic. Meals were good but not great. They forgot to place my order in the restaurant once. Shower stream was really thin.

The hotel is in a great location. Room small no freezer, receptionist they was nice the manager from the cafeteria fix a problem that I have same the people that work there have a attitude problem. Jose David was really nice and fixed everything my food came on time and good thank that I talk to jose David. They said 24/7 roon services u have to go and pick you food your self. U need water ice, and u need to pay for that. To be honest, I will never stay with them again.

A bit difficult to rate the hotel, because everyone at the hotel was very attentive to my requests and that was a huge plus. Extremely convenient to go to Airport , has immediate access to the beach, and you can walk for about 15 minutes to the City. The hotel offers luggage storage if you arrive early or depart rate, at not charge so that was helpful for my trip. The conditions of the hotel are to improve, as the bottoms of the elevators, the smell of the halls, water pressure of the shower heads in the bathroom, the tv cable is hanging from the tv so it takes time to figure it out how to turn it on, and the bad is there is no coffee in the room, therefore you must pay extra for it from the coffee machine at the bar, which only one employee figure out how to brew it to perfection. Kuddos Ivan! The rooms are small, but I believe is the Ibis business model, so plan properly if you like ample room spaces, the food at the hotel I won't recommend , is a bit overprice for the quality of the food.

This is an eco friendly and budget friendly hotel, very practical and well located, it has the beach of Marbella right in front and is a 20 minute walk from the walls of colonial Cartagena.

I booked two rooms for several nights. During the first night, a piece of MDF detached from the wall and broke after felt on the floor. the next day I informed the front desk The manager GLADYS GOMEZ called in a very unpolite and rude way. She said that I should pay close to 200 dollars for that piece. I explained that the piece felt on its own. After that, she came into the room with another employee and started threatening me and my family about paying for the piece and how this never happened before. I did not want to spend more time discussing the issue and having a bad time. This event and the hotel staff's response ruined my time at the hotel. Overall the hotel is located in an unsafe area, the front desk was flooded after some pipes broke. All the screens from the wall were removed and several towels were on the floor. It was a terrible scenario. I don't understand how Ibis allows a situation like that. This is not the first time that this incident happened. You can look into other reviews from previous customers. Stay away. Safe your money. It is not worth it at all. Ibis should be careful about training employees about customer service and responding to casual incidents. I hope they start an investigation about the piece that broke and find the cause. I felt cheated and I will never use another Ibis hotel in the future. Ibis Cartagena is a tourist trap and the poorly maintained building has issues that are charged to customers. My other concern is how a hotel is allowed to function while water is pouring from the elevators and front desk. It is not safe at all. I have started a formal complaint at the Ministerio de Comercio, Industria y Turismo to investigate the conditions and revise the permissions to safely operate. I have pictures and videos about these very unsafe conditions. Management GERMAN GUTIERREZ and GLADYS GOMEZ need to do their job to keep customers safe. The hotel is not safe at this point.

Perfectly functional hotel. Good value, convenient restaurant, okay location. Wifi connection is strong and fast enough. The door and windows need some upgrades as they are hard to close. Be careful as the shower floor can be very slippery.

Hotel was clean. I could use Zoom. They couldn't find the reservations for me. Right across from the beach. Restaurant was okay. I've had better.

Love it, clean and near by the airport, maybe 5-10 min ride, it costs 12.000 COP.

The hotel is fine for a short stop but there was almost no water pressure, the beds were average and the room/halls quite uninviting. Personnel was very friendly and parking is available for free.

The key card would fail after each use. The front desk blamed it on my cellphone. It happened to other guests also. They tried to charge me 100000 pesos for stains on the sheet. They said the stain won't come out but they hadn't even tried washing it. I personally washed the sheet and showed them that this thing was gone for them to remove the charge.

😠 I’m disappointed in the service we have been having at crepes and waffles. Extremely slow, rude waitresses, they do not give you attention- plus there was a green worm in our food. Did not take it off our bill

👍 If the servers were only helpful and friendly I would give this restaurant five stars. The servers seem to have an attitude and an air of snootiness. Not acceptable. The food is well presented but it does take a while to get it. My Poblano crepe was quite acceptable. The mushroom crepe was super yum...
