😠 I don’t typically review restaurants/cafes, but I wanted to warn tourist here because the 4.5 rating is deceptive. We went here because it was one of the few places open at 7 am and we had a boat to catch shortly after. We ordered 4 iced lattes, all of which were luke warm and diluted with water. Th... Food is good. Fresh and made on-site. We there on our first trip to Cartagena a couple years ago so we were happy to find it again and learn that it was still humming along with lots a good, fresh food options.

This cafe was really cute. And they had a pretty good selection of breakfast, lunch, and coffee. However there were a couple of things that were less than ideal. The service was not particularly good. Employees weren't super friendly, initially brought me the wrong quesadilla, and I had to ask more than once before I finally got my coffee. They also had a strange rule forbidding the use of laptops, which was disappointing since I had come both to eat and get some work done.

Worst service I’ve ever experienced. I came in, the women working there were sitting at a table, did not acknowledge me whatsoever, after a few minutes they got up and went behind the counter. One woman finally came to the register but still didn’t acknowledge me, she instead stood with her phone sending texts and whatnot, so I finally just ordered. She wasn’t even slightly friendly. I ordered just coffee, then they all went on resuming prepping food for the day, no one was making me coffee until I finally asked. I was the only person in the shop and it took about 10 minutes to get a regular cup of black coffee, which was not very good coffee by the way.

Not the best spot in Cartagena. Food was acceptable but nothing special and served not very sustainable (even though the concept seems like it ) - plastic forks/knifes/plates. Unfortunately one of the staff members was very unfriendly and did not even try to understand us. They brought us the wrong food and then pretended it was our mistake (stupid foreigners) even though it wasn’t. The rest of the staff was really nice and trying to make up for it.

Great Breakfast inside the Walled City. If you can get a table, jump at it. This place is always packed. Fresh juice, pastries, coffee, breakfast and lunch. Order and pay at the counter and you can watch them make your food as you wait. Waffles con fruitas is so good. Peasant Eggs is a nice skillet with scrambled eggs, cheese, and onions and served with pancakes. Lattes are excellent.

The salad was fresh, but the lasagna was not. It resembled a store bought frozen lasagna. The waitress forgot about us, and only brought the salads. After 45 minutes we asked where our drinks and the rest of our food was. Apparently they forgot about it. When they brought out the lasagna it was burned and crispy on the top layers. Overpriced store bought food.

Ordered a steak quesadilla, got a chicken. Was told they run out of steak. Food tasted bland, little pancakes were cold

Ordered a cafe latte. Didn't show up for a while, in the meantime my fiance ordered an espresso. She was told they don't have espresso. Uh oh. Then after three reminders for our "latte" I watched them dump some coffee into a cup of milk and hand it to me. Even though I was feeling good for trying to support local business, I slid it back over the counter and left for Starbucks across the street. As God intended.

I really like this place. Banana bread and juices are very good. Went here almost every day for a week in ctg. Wrap left a bit to be desired but i do like the pastries.

Too expensive for fried street food you can find easly IN THE STREET and so small they are not worthy. The service is too slow and they dont look friendly or happy.. Not recomended.

Buyer beware. New to the city and Colombia, hadn’t quite gotten the exchange rate right and while paying in cash, the cashier person saw me struggling, offered to help, and then double charged me. Thankfully the receipt printed and after reviewing it at my table we got the… mixup sorted. The cappuccino was also lackluster. Much better cafes around.

After reading reviews about slow service, I decided on getting a ready made beef empanda which was pretty good. I ordered a coffee as well saw that the only version of an iced drink was for it to be a frappe so got a frappe latte and wasn't that impressed. Seemed to have been blended with a lot of ice and was a lot sweeter than I was anticipating a latte to be.

No WiFi. Laptop is not allowed. Staff ignoring you. Food is pretty good though.

The food was good, tasty and seemingly fresh but not necessarily remarkable. The staff was friendly and the kitchen looked clean and hygienic. Great place for a quick bite that is not something deep fried and still affordable.

Excellent bowls (for lunch). My daughter really enjoyed the pollo teriyaki and I really liked the vegetariano.

Chaotic mess. No line but took them 20 minutes to take the order. Food was mediocre, at best. Street food has more flavor. Avoid.

Good cheap food prepared fresh. Takes a while for the food, but kids agreed the chicken quesadilla was best ever.

I tried this spot out for breakfast after seeing it while walking around. Delicious food although portions were smaller than my big Americano habits are used to having. Staff was patient with my Spanglish.

Nice little place with some delicious & cheap empanadas. Unfortunately the coffee was really bad 😔

Really good empanadas at great prices! One if there few empanada places in Cartagena that is reasonably priced

I still get amazed how can a cafe not have internet to its clientele. As a tourist on a touristic city I love to sit to enjoy a cup of coffee and check some news, maps, etc. And it's very upsetting after you place your order you get the news that "there is no internet available to our customers".

We went here because it was one of the few places open at 7 am and we had a boat to catch shortly after. We ordered 4 iced lattes, all of which were luke warm and diluted with water. The savory pastries tasted artificial and the banana bread was stale. The only decent food was the guava pastry. I would not recommend this place at all. Try època instead.

Asked for an iced latte with a milk alternative and received what tasted like a shot of bad espresso in a large cup of water. My whole group received the same powdered milk. Pastries were awful - we bought an assortment and literally every one was stale and bland. You’d honestly be better off at the Starbucks across the street.

😠 I’m disappointed in the service we have been having at crepes and waffles. Extremely slow, rude waitresses, they do not give you attention- plus there was a green worm in our food. Did not take it off our bill

👍 If the servers were only helpful and friendly I would give this restaurant five stars. The servers seem to have an attitude and an air of snootiness. Not acceptable. The food is well presented but it does take a while to get it. My Poblano crepe was quite acceptable. The mushroom crepe was super yum...
