We originally only signed up for the sunset cruise but asked to join the beach cruise the next day as soon as we stepped off the boat. The crew is very attentive and great fun. The trips were relaxed with great views and good conversation. I recommend the beach trip to anyone who would like to get into the history of Cartagena by visiting San Fernando fort.

Visited Cartagena at the tail end of June and this tour left a lasting impression. Firstly, the ship was easy to find and easy to get to via Uber. Once on the boat, we were greeted by friendly staff and quickly found a seat. There was ample room and great views regardless of the side you sat on. The drinks were FANTASTIC and they even had non-alcoholic options for kids or sober folks. The crew leader provided the history and commentary in both English and Spanish and it was a great time all around. Treat yourself to this lovely adventure! It’s not only fun, but you’ll get your money’s worth in the wealth of knowledge and views shared…may even make a friend or two because everyone was cool.

We had an amazing time even though we werent lucky to watch the sunset, it was cloudy and it started raining on us but it was such a fun time with everyone on the boat! Highly recommend it, just make sure to check the weather before booking!!

What a great day! Joshua was a brilliant host and we had the most peaceful and fun day at sea and the beach. He wasn't kidding when he said the food was the best, it truly was delish. I highly highly recommend taking this boat tour in Cartagena on a super cool Pirate Ship. I wish I had more time in Cartagena and I would take more of the boat tours that Joshua offers...even customized boat tours.

This is a must do experience while you’re in Cartagena. We had the best time on La Fantastica Cartagena both times that we sailed with the crew!!! 🏴‍☠️My family and I signed up for the sunset sail and we had so much fun sailing on the pirate ship, enjoying drinks, listening to festive music, and hearing interesting stories about Cartagena while we saw beautiful views of the city. Captain Joshua and his Colombian crew were kind, hospitable, and made the experience so enjoyable that we booked a private day trip with them the next day to visit Playa Blanca! It was such a relaxing sail to and from. We enjoyed a delicious fried fish lunch off the shores of Playa Blanca, took turns jumping and swinging off the side of the ship, hung out with the crew, and swam around. Huge thank you to the crew for these wonderful memories!

We initially wanted to do the fancy yacht option…. Until we found la fantastica. This is absolutely the best option for sunset cruise. The service is top notch, guys are on top of everything, let you play your own music, not overcrowded. Truly enjoyable experience. Best service in Cartagena. Don’t forget to tip!!!

La Fantástica Cartagena Pirate ship tour was an amazing experience for me & my family. Captain Xavier Enrique Diaz and his crew took us to breathtaking locations of Cartagena while providing excellent service with 101 interactions, great music, beverages and a very friendly & fun atmosphere, definitely one of the best experiences this fine city has to offer.

Phenomenal 2 hours in a replica pirate ship…only one other like it in the world. Josh, the owner is American and provides terrific stories of the area. Super friendly and very memorable. Cruising around the bay with ease seeing the area. Crew was engaging and super fun even shooting off a replica cannon. We went on a cloudy afternoon and still had a terrific time! They even serve a choice of Rum pirate punch or Rum-inspired lemonade. No food served but would highly recommend! It was fantastic! A+++

I saw the ship while walking around the area. It looked so authentic and pretty that decided to book the sunset tour they offered on Viator. What an amazing and unexpectedly nice experience! I was ready for a crowded ship, booze-infused loud crowd, and it was anything like it! During the sailing, the owner spent time chatting with all the guests telling us the story of the ship and his vision of changing the dynamics of the Cartagena tourist attractions' market by offering much more excitement and surprise element to it. His crew of three handsome young men was attentive and entertaining! They took care of us with tasty drinks, posed for pictures, and took pictures of the guests. Even the background music was so lively and nice! La Fantastica was even in a "fictional fight" with another pirate ship during the tour! This tour was the cherry on top of my weekend in Cartagena! Thank you so much to the owner and the crew! You were the best entertainers!

We had a great time on the day trip to Tierra Bomba with La Fantastica Cartagena. The owner was so incredibly accommodating - we requested a trip on a day which he did not have scheduled sailings and he was still able to do the trip for us! Our crew, Jose and Xavier were great. They did everything to make our day enjoyable. Thank you, guys, so much! I would not hesitate to visit again if I ever get to return. Thank you for helping to make our trip to Cartagena complete.

This tour was so much fun! From the music to the fun props, the crew kept us entertained from the start. They were so accommodating with taking pictures of us and letting us pose by the wheel of the ship. The views when the sun started to set were so beautiful! The limonada de coco was also delicious. Captain Xavier was a wonderful host and so kind. I would absolutely take this tour again, it’s fun for all ages!

Small group, it was a great expierence. Well worth it, knowledgeable crew! Highly recommend if you don't like the party boats.

The boat you are looking for is called the Phantom Galleon (the big pirate ship in the Cartagena harbor). Half the guests on our tour expected to be on that boat but 'La Fantastica' ranks first on google. Never trust a free bar. Not the boat or experience we were expecting. Something extra was in the pirate punch as were black out after 3 drinks (we have had more than 3 drinks in 90 minutes without being this drunk many times previously). We were pushed hard for big tips as we left the boat very drunk. We missed out flights the next morning because of the hangovers. 3 drinks before 7pm shouldn't hit this hard the next morning. We did not drink anything after the sunset cruise other than water. My colombian friends warned me after that we should never trust a free bar and this is why.

Me and my husband had such a fun time on this Excursion! The crew is very friendly and engaging the whole time! Be sure to not drink too much or you'll fall over 😅
